  1. I am in full agreement of the above views expressed on taking photos of the Moolavar, Garba Gruham, etc.

    Just to share a small piece of information, our children in the US had taken us to the heart of Navajo-Hopi lands. Many of these places are sacred to Native Americans. In one place within guard railings there was a sacred stone with messages carved on them in their symbol language. Beside that there was a board with the translation in English, of what could have been passages from our own Vedantha texts. There was also a big sign board prohibiting all photography of the stone or within the premises as it was against the traditional beliefs of the people there.

    I recalled Periyaval’s message that a long time ago the whole world had one philosophy of Dharma, the Sanaathana Dharma.

  2. Regarding selfies with moolavar, I would like to share that ISKCON temple in Injambakkam Chennai, has a notice stating “photography of moolvar is allowed but not selfies with deities.”

    ” Endru Thaniyum Indha selfie mogham” one wonders……

  3. இப்படி மூலவரை நாமே புகைப்படம் எடுத்து போடுவதை தவிர்க்கலாம்… அன்னாபிஷேகம் அல்லது சந்தனக்காப்பின் பொழுது எடுப்பதோடு நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம். எதோ காரணத்தினால் இதனை பெரியோர்கள் தடுத்துள்ளார்கள். அதனை நாம் ஏன் மீறவேண்டும். இன்று இருக்கும் இளைய சமுதாயத்தின் அரைவேக்காட்டுத்தனத்தின் விளைவில் அனேகமாக மூலவருடன் செல்ஃபி எடுத்து பிரசுரிக்க துவங்கிவிடுவர் என தோன்றியதால் இந்த கருத்து.
