  1. All have to follow our dharma in all ways and means. We should not do as we like.

  2. I am in full agreement of the above views expressed on taking photos of the Moolavar, Garba Gruham, etc.

Just to share a small piece of information, our children in the US had taken us to the heart of Navajo-Hopi lands. Many of these places are sacred to Native Americans. In one place within guard railings there was a sacred stone with messages carved on them in their symbol language. Beside that there was a board with the translation in English, of what could have been passages from our own Vedantha texts. There was also a big sign board prohibiting all photography of the stone or within the premises as it was against the traditional beliefs of the people there.

I recalled Periyaval’s message that a long time ago the whole world had one philosophy of Dharma, the Sanaathana Dharma.

  3. Regarding selfies with moolavar, I would like to share that ISKCON temple in Injambakkam Chennai, has a notice stating “photography of moolvar is allowed but not selfies with deities.”

” Endru Thaniyum Indha selfie mogham” one wonders……
