ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மகிமை

சுகப்ரஹ்மரிஷியின் உயரிய நிலையில்  நம்மிடையே திகழும்  ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ  மஹாபெரியவளெனும் ஞானசேகரரின்  கருணை  மகத்தானது.  அந்தப்  பெருந்தெய்வத்தைப் பூரணமாக  உணரும்  பாக்யம்  பெற்றவர்களுள் ரவிச்சந்திரன்  என்ற  பக்தர்  குறிப்பிடத்  தக்கவர்.  ஸ்ரீ  மஹாபெரியவாளின்றி  வேறு  தெய்வம்  இல்லை  என்ற  அசையாத  நம்பிக்கையோடு  அவர்  குடும்பம் பேரனுக்ரஹத்துடன்  சிறக்கிறது.

ஸ்ரீ  பிரதோஷம்  மாமாவின்  தர்ம  வழியில்  செல்லும்  ரவிச்சந்திரன்  அதைப்  பின்பற்றி  மாதம்  தோறும்  அனுஷ  புண்ணிய  தினத்தில்  சேலத்தில்  ஸ்ரீ  மஹாபெரியவளின்   ஜயந்தி  உற்சவத்தைக்  கொண்டாடி அதன்  மூலம்  அங்கே  ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின்  பக்தி  பரவி  மேன்மை அடைவதைக் கண்டு  ஆனந்திக்கிறார்.  இப்படி  அனுஷ  தினத்தில் ஹோமங்கள் செய்து ரக்ஷை  எனும் ஹோம பஸ்மத்தை மிகவும் ஸ்ரத்தையுடன் அன்றிரவே நடமாடும்  தெய்வமாக  அருளிக் கொண்டிருக்கும்  மஹாதெய்வமான  ஸ்ரீ  பெரியவாளுக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்க ஞானி குடிகொண்டிருந்த காஞ்சி மாநகருக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்வது வழக்கமாகும்.

இப்படி ஸ்ரீ மஹானிடம்  சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட ரக்ஷையை நாயன்மராய் விளங்கும் ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷ மாமாவிடம் சேர்ப்பார்கள். சங்கரரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் ஜயந்தியை தானும் கொண்டாடும் வழக்கமிருந்த போதிலும் சேலத்திலிருந்து வரும் ஜயந்தி ரக்ஷைக்காக்க அவர் ஆவலோடு அடுத்த நாள் எதிர்பார்த்துக் காத்து நிற்பார். ஈஸ்வரராகவே ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளை  உணர்ந்து கொண்ட அதீத பக்தியில் ஸ்ரீ நாயன்மாரின் மனம் பவித்திரமான  ரக்ஷையை பரமேஸ்வரராகவே பாவித்து பூரணகும்ப மரியாதைகளோடு எதிர்கொள்ள ஏங்கி நிற்கும்.

இதுபோன்ற ஒரு அனுஷ ஜயந்தி தினம் !

திரு.ரவிச்சந்திரனின் தகப்பனார் ஸ்ரீ  ராமமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் ஆழ்ந்த பக்தியுடன் காத்து  ரக்ஷிக்கும் ஹோம ரக்ஷை பிரசாதத்தோடு சேலத்திலிருந்து காஞ்சிபுரத்திற்குப் பேருந்தில் புறப்பட்டாயிற்று.

அடுத்த நாள் காலை. இங்கே காஞ்சிபுரத்தில்  பிரும்ம ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா ஆவல் மிகுதியால் ரக்ஷை வரவை எதிர்பார்த்துக் காத்திருக்கிறார். வழக்கமாக வரும் நேரம் சென்று விட்டது. மாமாவின் மனம் லேசாக  கவலை கொள்கிறது. மேலும் நேரம் சென்றதும் சேலத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவிட்டதை உறுதி செய்து கொள்கிறார்.  “இத்தனை நேரத்திற்கு வந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே” என்று நேரம் ஆக ஆக மாமாவின் மனம் கலங்கி விடுகிறது, “தாமதத்திற்குக்  காரணம்  என்ன? என்னவானதோ?” என்று அவர் மனம் படபடத்தது.

மிகவும் தவிப்போடு மனம் நிலை கொள்ளாமல் மாமா இரண்டு நபர்களை ஸ்ரீ மடத்திற்கும், பேருந்து நிலையத்திற்கும் விசாரிக்க  அனுப்புகிறார், பஸ்நிலைய அலுவலகத்தில் அன்பர்கள் கேட்ட தகவலின்படி சேலத்திலிருந்து பஸ் குறித்த நேரத்தில் புறப்பட்டு விட்டதென்றும்,  அவர்களூம் பஸ் வந்து சேராதிருப்பதற்குக் காரணம் தெரியாமலிருப்பதாகவும்  அறிகின்றனர்.

இதனால் மேலும் பயமுண்டாகிறது. பிரதோஷம்  மாமாவிடம் இதைச் சொன்னவுடன், அந்தப் பெருந்தெய்வமான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் முறையிடச் சொல்லி அவர்களை அனுப்புகிறார்.

இருவரும் ஈஸ்வரரிடம் போய், ராமமூர்த்தி சேலத்திலிருந்து இன்னும் வந்து சேராததைக் கூறி நின்றனர். அந்த முக்காலமும் அறிந்திட்ட பிரான் ஆறுதலாக ஏதாவது அருள்வாரென்று எதிர்பார்த்த அன்பர்களுக்கு ஏமாற்றம். ஞானியின் சித்தத்தை யார் அறிவார்? ஒன்றுமே பேசாமல் மௌனியாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா நிற்க, அன்பர்கள் மிகவும் வேதனை அடைந்துவிட்டனர்.

அந்த மாமனம் படைத்த கருணாமூர்த்தி பக்தர்களின் பரிதவிப்பை நீடிக்கச் செய்யவில்லை. அங்கே சற்று நேரத்திலேயே ராமமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் ரக்ஷைப் பிரசாதத்தை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்க  வந்து நின்றார்.

அன்பர்கள் இருவருக்கும் ‘அப்பாடா!’  என்றிருந்தது.

வேதநாயகராம்  ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் மறுபடியும் மூன்று பேரும் நிற்கின்றனர். ரக்ஷையை ஏற்றுக் கொண்ட அந்தக் காருண்ய மூர்த்தி அந்த இரு அன்பர்களையும் சுட்டிக் காட்டி, “இவா ரெண்டுபேரும் இவர் உயிருக்கு ஏதாவது ஆபத்தோ என்று பயந்து போயிட்டா!” என்று தானே ஏதோ யூகம் செய்ததுபோல் கூறினார்.

பிரம்ம ரிஷியான  மேன்மை நிலையில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் வாக்கின் அர்த்தம்தான் என்ன? அது பிரதோஷ மாமாவிடம் போனபோதுதான் புலப்பட்டது. ரக்ஷையைப் பூர்ண கும்பத்தோடு வரவேற்றபோது மாமாவின் மனத்திலிருந்த  பாரம் நீங்கி  லேசானது. இந்த சிலமணி நேரம் அவர் மனம் பட்ட பாட்டிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு நிம்மதியாயிற்று.

ராமமூர்த்தி  தன்  தாமதத்திற்குக் காரணம் கூறினார். அவர் ஏறியிருந்த பேருந்து நட்டநடு நிசியில் குப்பனூர் என்ற மலைப்பாதையில் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது, ‘ஆக்சில்’ என்ற முக்கிய பகுதி உடைந்து மேலே செல்ல முடியாமல் எல்லோரும் கீழே இறக்கிவிடப்பட்டனர். காத்து ரக்ஷிக்கும் ரக்ஷையுடன் ராமமூர்த்தி பேருந்திலிருந்து இறங்கி அந்த இருட்டில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் ஜோதிஸ்வரூபனை மனத்தில் இருத்தியவாறு வேண்டி நின்றார் .மாற்று ஏற்பாடு செய்து,  பயணத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து வந்து சேர காலதாமதமாகியுள்ளது.

இதை சாதாரண நிகழ்ச்சியாக ராமமூர்த்தி  மாமாவிடம் சொல்லிவிட்டு, ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா ‘அவர் உயிருக்கு  ஆபத்தோ..?’ என்று அன்பர்கள் கவலைப் பட்டார்கள்  என்று சொல்லிய திருவாக்கையும் கூடவே எடுத்துரைத்தார்.

பிரதோஷம் மாமாவிற்கு, சட்டென்று அந்தத்  திருவாக்கின் உட்பொருள் புலனாயிற்று. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் சன்னதிக்கு முன் போய் நின்று நன்றிப்பெருக்கோடு,  அந்த காத்து ரக்ஷிக்கும் கருணைக் கடலை நோக்கி உருகுகின்றார்.

“ராமமூர்த்தி ! உங்கள் பஸ்ஸை  பெரிய விபத்திலிருந்து பெரியவா காப்பாத்தியிருக்கா! அதைத்தான் இப்படி சுட்டிக்  காட்டியிருக்கா. உங்களை மட்டுமா  காப்பாத்தியிருக்கா ? இந்த ரக்ஷைப் பிரசாதம் பஸ்ஸிலே வந்த அத்தனை பேரையுமல்லவா காப்பாத்தியிருக்கு.  அதனாலதான் அப்படி ஒரு வாக்கு வந்திருக்கு புரியலையா?”  கண்கள் குளமாக மாமா சொன்னபோதுதான்,  ராமமூர்த்திக்கும் மாபெரும் உண்மை தெளிவானது. அந்த ஆபத்பாந்தவனை நன்றிப்பெருக்கோடு தியானித்து நின்றது.

தன்னை யாரென்று காட்டிய  தயாளர்.

திரு ராமமூர்த்தி அவர்கள் நேரிலே பார்த்த இன்னொரு அரிய சம்பவம் இது ! பிரதோஷம் மாமா ஸ்ரீ பரமேஸ்வரரான மகா மூர்த்தி பெரியவாளை தினமும் தரிசனம் செய்யும்போது கூடவே ஒரு அன்பரும் செல்வதுண்டு. அப்படிப் போகும்போது, விஸ்வநாதருக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்க  வில்வ தளங்களைக் கொண்டுசெல்லும் வழக்கமும் இருந்தது.

ஒருநாள் சங்கரர்  அந்த வில்வதளங்களை  ஏற்றுக்கொண்டபடி கேட்டார்.

“இதையெல்லாம் யார் பறிக்கறா?” குழந்தையைப் போல  அந்த திரிகால ஞானசேகரர் வினவியபோது, பிரதோஷம் மாமா, “நானும் சேர்ந்து வில்வத்தைப் பறிக்கிறதுண்டு….அதிலே ஒரு பாகத்தை பெரியவாளை வீட்டிலே  பூஜிக்க வெச்சுண்டுட்டு,  இங்கே சமர்ப்பிக்கக் கொஞ்சம் கொண்டுவர வழக்கம்.”

அப்போது, அருகே பெரியவாளின் பரமபக்தையான ஒரு மாதுவும் நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தார். தானும்  தான் கொண்டு சமர்ப்பிக்கும் வில்வத்தைப் பற்றிக் கூற  ஆசைப்பட்டவளாய் அந்த மாது, “நான் பறிக்கிற வில்வம் ஒரு பாகம் ஏகாம்பரேஸ்வரருக்கும், மற்றொரு பங்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்குமாக சமர்ப்பணமாறது” என்று கூறினார்.

உடனே ஒரு பேருண்மை, அந்தப் பெருந் தெய்வத்தின் திருநாவிலிருந்து  உதிர்ந்ததாம்.

“எப்படி இருந்தால் என்ன,  எல்லா வில்வமும்  என் தலையிலேதானே  விழறது.”

இது எப்பேற்பட்ட சத்திய வாக்கு!  தானே தான் யார் என்பதை சூட்சுமமாக தன் திருவாக்கினால் வலிய வந்து கோடி காட்டிய சம்பவத்தைக் காண  நேர்ந்த  ராமமூர்த்தி அவர்களுக்கு அந்த பெரும் பாக்கியம் பெற்றதில் மிகவும் ஆனந்தம்!  எங்கும் நிறைந்த ஏகாம்பரேஸ்வரரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை அறிந்துகொண்ட ஆனந்தமல்லவா  அது!

எளியோரின் மனமறிந்த மாமுனிவர்.

சென்னையில் இருந்த ஒரு பிரபல தினசரி பத்திரிகைக் காரியாலயமொன்றுக்கு ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா விஜயம் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். மடத்துச் சிப்பந்திகளும் ஏராளமாக உடன் சென்றிருந்தனர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் திருப்பாதங்கள் பட்டு காரியாலயம் புனிதமடைய வேண்டுமன்றும், விலை உயர்ந்த நூதன இயந்திரங்களுக்கெல்லாம் திருஷ்டி பாலிக்க வேண்டுமென்றும் பத்திரிகை உரிமையாளர்கள்  வேண்டிக் கொண்டதால் விஜயம் செய்ய ஒப்புக் கொண்டார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

இதனால்  அந்தப் புண்ணிய புருஷர் வந்தபோது காரியாலயத்திலேயே மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பான, காபந்தான பகுதிகளைப் பிரத்தியேகமாக அவர்கள் திறந்துவிட, முதலில் மடத்து எளிய சிப்பந்திகள் பத்திரிகை தயாரிக்கும்  அற்புதங்களை அறியும் ஆவலில் திபுதிபுவென்று உளே நுழைகிறார்கள்.

ஆனால் வெளியே ஸ்ரீபெரியவா பூர்ண கும்பத்தை அங்கீகரித்துவிட்டு அங்குள்ளோரிடம் உரையாடியபடி எங்கோ பின்னால் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்.

முண்டியடித்துக் கொண்டு உள்ளே சென்ற சிப்பந்திகளைக் காரியாலய அதிகாரிகள் தடுத்து நிறுத்துகிறார்கள். அச்சகத்தின் இந்த விசேஷப் பகுதிகளை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள், மற்றும் முக்கியஸ்தர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே காட்ட அனுமதிக்க அவர்கள் தீர்மானித்திருந்தார்கள்.

ஆகவே இயந்திரங்களைப்பற்றி விளக்க வேண்டிய நிபுணர், மடத்து ஊழியர்களான எளியவர்களை மரியாதைக் குறைவாக நடத்தி விட்டார். அடித்து விரட்டாத குறையாக அவமதித்துவிட்டார்.

இதனால் மிகவும் வேதனையுடன் திரும்பிக் கொண்டிருந்த அதே நேரத்தில், ஸ்ரீ சங்கரர் அப்பகுதியில் நுழைந்தார்.

ஆனால் சிப்பந்திகளின் நிலைமை பற்றிப் பெருமானுக்குத் தெரியாது.

நிபுணர்களும் நிர்வாகிகளுமாக பரபரப்போடு, பவ்யமாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை வரவேற்க ஓடினர். அப்போது அந்த நிபுணரைப் பார்த்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா, ஏதோ சகஜமாக  சொல்வதுபோல், ஒரு மந்தஹாசத்துடன், “இதோ இவாள்ளாம் வந்திருக்காளே, இவாளுக்குப் புரியிறமாதிரி  உன் புது மெஷின்களைப் பற்றி எக்ஸ்ப்ளைன் பண்ணு. இவாளுக்குச் சொல்லும்போது நானும் கேட்டுக்கறேன்.” என்கிறார்.

ஒரு ராஜாவின் மிடுக்கோடு அந்த சன்யாசி வேடதாரி கூறியபோது மற்ற எவரும் அறியாத, உணராத ஒரு கனல் நிபுணரைத் தாக்க அவர் வேர்த்து விறுவிறுத்துப்போகிறார். தான் அவமரியாதைப் படுத்திய அதே சிப்பந்திகளை அழைத்துக் கொண்டு போய் அவர்களைப் பார்த்தே கருவிகளை விளக்கியும், ஆபரேட் செய்து காட்டவும் நேர்ந்து விட்டது.

இருந்தாலும், நடு  நடுவே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடமும் விளக்கம் தர அவர் திசை மாறி மஹானிடம் பேச ஆவலுடன் எத்தனித்த போதும், அந்த நாயகர், “அவாளைப் பார்த்துச் சொல்லு ! அவாளுக்குப் புரியிறமாதிரி சொல்வதுதான் விசேஷம். அதிலேர்ந்து நானும் தெரிஞ்சுக்கறேன்.” என்று விடாப்பிடியாக நிபுணரை சிப்பந்திகளைப் பார்த்தே விளக்கச் சொன்னார்.

கூடவே ரொம்பவும் சாமான்யரான தன் மடத்து சிப்பந்திகளுக்கும் இயந்திர நுட்பங்கள் விளங்கும் படியாக நிபுணர் கூறியதாக அவருக்கும் பாராட்டளித்துப் பேசினார்.

நாடகமாடும் நடராஜ மூர்த்தி.

ஒரு சமயம் கேரளாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு குடும்பம், மனக்கஷ்டம், வியாதி, வியாபாரத்தில் நஷ்டம் என்று பல தொல்லைகளில் அவதிப் பட்டபோது, நம்பூதிரி ஜோஸ்யர் குடும்பத்தின் குலதெய்வத்திற்குப் பூஜை செய்யப்படாததுதான் காரணமென்றும், குலதெய்வத்தை நல்ல முறையில் ஆராதனை செய்யுமாறும்  கூறினார்.

ஆனால் இந்தத் தலைமுறைக்குத் தங்கள் குலதெய்வம் எது என்று தெரியவில்லை.

உடனே யாரோ வழிகாட்ட, நடமாடும் தெய்வமாய் விளங்கும் ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளைத்  தரிசிக்க வந்தனர். கஷ்டங்களைக் கூறி, தங்கள் குலதெய்வம் எது, எங்குள்ளதெனக் கூறுமாறு பிரார்த்தித்து நின்றனர்.

யாதும் அறியாததுபோல் நடராஜமூர்த்தி நாடகமாடியவராய்,

“உன் பெயரென்ன?” என்று பெரியவா கேட்டார்.

“வைத்தியநாதன்” என்றார் வந்தவர்.

“உன் தாத்தாவின் பெயர்..?”  எக்காலமும் எல்லாமும் அறிந்த மஹான் கேட்டார்.

“அவர் பெயரும் வைத்தியநாதன்”

“தாத்தாவிற்குத் தாத்தாவின் பெயர் தெரியுமா?”

புன்னகை அரும்ப புவனேஸ்வரர் வினவ, “அவர் பெயரும்  வைத்தியநாதன் என்று என் தாத்தா சொல்லக் கேள்வி” என்று பதில் வந்தது.

“உன் தாத்தா, அவர் பாட்டனார் என்று எல்லோர் பெயரும் வைத்தியநாதன் என்று வருவதால், வைத்தீஸ்வரன் கோவில் வைத்தியநாதன்தான் உங்கள் குலதெய்வம் என்று தோன்றுகிறது” என்று அந்த ஞானி ஏதோ அனுமானமாகக் கூறுவதுபோல் நடிக்கிறார்.

உடனே பக்தரின் வயதான தாயார், “என் மாமியாரும் வைத்தியநாத ஸ்வாமிதான் நம் குலதெய்வம், அங்கேதான் குழந்தைகளுக்கு முடியிறக்கணும் என்று சொன்னது ஞாபகம் வருகிறது. பெரியவா தெய்வம். சொல்லிவிட்டார்கள்.” என்று அந்த தெய்வத்தை முற்றிலும் உணர்ந்தவராய்க் கூறினார்.

மூவுலகாளும் முக்கண்ணரான பரமேஸ்வரருக்குத் தெரியாததென்ன? ஏதோ அவர்களை விவரம் கேட்பது போல் கேட்டல்லவா தான் சொன்னதுபோல் காட்டிக் கொள்கிறார்?

இந்த எளிமைதான் ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மேன்மை. இந்த மேலோனிடம் பரம பக்தி கொள்வதே, வாழ்க்கையில் சகல துன்பங்களையும் நீக்கி, சர்வ ஐஸ்வரியங்களையும் பெற்று மங்களத்தோடு வாழ வகை செய்யும் வழியாகும். அந்த நல்வழி செல்வோமாக!

Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyavaal Mahimai

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

Ravichandar is one of the few devotees who were blessed to completely realize the true form of Sri Periyava. Their entire family is devoted to Sri Periyava and consider Him to be their only God.

Ravichandar following the footsteps of Sri Pradosham Mama, celebrated the monthly Anusham festival at Salem spreading Sri Periyava’s bhakti. It was a practice for him to take the Homam prasadam Rakshai to Kanchipuram. Once the prasadam was offered to Sri Periyava, he would take it to Sri Pradosham Mama. Even though Sri Pradosham Mama celebrated monthly Anusham, he would still wait for the prasadam from Salem on the next day. Sri Pradosham Mama who considers Sri Periyava as Sarveshwaran, will be waiting to welcome the rakshai prasadam with poorna kumbam.

Sri Ravichandar’s father Sri Ramamurthy, with great devotion to Sri Periyava, left with the Homam Rakshai prasadam to Kanchipuram in a bus from Salem. On the next day, Sri Pradosham Mama had been eagerly waiting for the prasadam from Salem. The regular time when the prasadam used to come had passed. Mama started to worry. They call and confirm that they had left Salem as usual. Sri Pradosham Mama’s anxiety grows and his mind is filled with a lot of questions like, “What is the reason for delay? Could something have happened?”

With anxiety, Mama sends two devotees to Srimatam and two others to the bus stand to find out what was happening. From the bus stand they come to know that, the bus had left Salem on time, but they do not know why it had not yet reached Kanchipuram.

The anxiety grew more on hearing this. On informing this to Pradosham Mama, he asks them to pray to Sri Periyava. They both reach Srimatam and inform Sri Periyava that Sri Ramamurthy who had started from Salem had not yet arrived. They were hoping for some consoling words from Sri Periyava. Who can understand the thoughts of a Gnani? As Sri Periyava remained silent, both of them were worried.

Sri Periyava did not want to increase their worry much. In just a couple of minutes, Sri Ramamurthy arrived there with the prasadam. Both of them were relieved to see Ramamurthy there. As both of them stood near Sri Periyava along with Sri Ramamurthy, Sri Periyava accepted the prasadam and then pointing at both them said to Ramamurthy, “They were both worried that some danger might have happened to you.”

What is the meaning of Brahma Rishi Sri Periyava’s statement? It was understood only after talking to Sri Pradosham Mama. Only when Sri Pradosham Mama welcomed the rakshai with Poorna Kumbam, he was relieved. He mind was at peace now.

Sri Ramamurthy started explaining the reason for his delay. The bus he took had its axle broken in a hilly area near Kuppanoor in the middle of the night. The bus was unable to climb the hilly areas and all the passengers were asked to get down. Ramamurthy also got down and started praying to Sri Periyava. They were delayed as they had to make alternate arrangements to continue their journey.

Ramamurthy explained all this events in a casual manner and also said that Sri Periyava had said that there were some devotees who were really worried that he might have been in serious danger. That was when Sri Pradosham Mama realized what had happened. He immediately went to Srimatam for Sri Periyava’s darshan. He stood there thanking Sri Periyava with tears in his eyes.

“Ramamurthy, Sri Periyava has saved you from a major accident. Sri Periyava had indicated that when He told the other two devotees. He had not only saved you. The rakshai has saved everyone travelling in that bus. This is the reason for Sri Periyava telling that statement. Only when Sri Pradosham Mama had explained this, Ramamurthy had understood what had happened. He stood there thanking Sri Periyava with tears in his eyes.

One who showed his true form

This is another incident that was witnessed by Sri Ramamurthy. When Sri Pradosham Mama used to go for Sri Periyava’s darshan, someone else would also accompany. Also Mama used to take vilvam leaves to offer it to Sri Periyava.

One day as Sri Periyava was accepting the vilvam leaves asked, “Who gets these vilvam leaves?”

When Sri Periyava, who knows all the things that are happening in all of the three worlds asked this question, Sri Pradosham Mama answered, “I will also go to pluck the vilvam leaves. One portion of the leaves will be offered in the Sri Periyava Pooja at home and we bring the other portion here.”

At that time, there was a lady standing there. She was also interested to tell about the vilvam leaves that she brings usually and said, “One portion of the vilvam leaves that I pluck will be offered to Sri Ekambareswarar and the other portion I bring it here for Sri Periyava.”

Immediately, Sri Periyava told a very truthful statement, “Whatever it is, all the vilvam leaves are offered to Me only.”

Isn’t it a true statement? Sri Ramamurthy who witnessed this incident when Sri Periyava indirectly conveyed the truth about Himself was very happy and felt completely blessed. It is the happiness of knowing the omnipresent Sri Ekambareswarar and Sri Periyava are one and same.

One who understands even His simple devotees

Sri Periyava had visited one of the press at Chennai accompanied by many Sippanthis. The owners of the press had requested Sri Periyava to come to the press to bless all their activities and the press machineries that had been installed. Sri Periyava had accepted and had agreed to visit the press.

Due to Sri Periyava’s visit, all the secured sections of the press were also kept open. In an interest to understand and know what happens there, lot of simple Sippanthis had entered those areas in big groups. But Sri Periyava had just accepted the poorna kumbam welcome and had been talking to few people near the press entrance. All the Sippanthis who had entered in those areas were being stopped by the officers. The officers had decided to show these sections only to Sri Periyava and few other dignitaries. Due to this, the officer in charge of explaining about the press machinery did not treat the Sippanthis properly and were almost asked to go out of the area.

Dejected, they were walking out of the area sadly as Sri Periyava entered that area. Sri Periyava did not know what had happened there sometime back. As soon as the officers saw Sri Periyava, they came forward running. Sri Periyava looked at them and said, “Can you explain about these machineries to the Sippanthis? I will also join them in listening.”

As the officers who had forced the Sippanthis out, now started explaining it to them. As they were explaining they also started to look at Sri Periyava for some time. Sri Periyava then told them again, “Explain it to the Sippanthis. They are more interested to learn them. I will listen along with them.”

Sri Periyava also did not fail to appreciate the officer who had explained about the press machineries to all the simple Sippanthis who had accompanied Him.

Natarajamurthy who stages divine plays

Once a family from Kerala had been suffering from problems, disease and losses in business. After consulting a Namboodiri Astrologer, they were told that all the problems were due to the family not worshipping their Kula Deivam. They were asked to perform their Kula Deivam worship properly to avoid all the problems they were facing.

But the family did not know about their Kula Deivam. They were directed to Sri Periyava and they came to Srimatam and explained their problems and told that they did not know about their Kula Deivam. Sri Periyava started His divine play acting as if He did not know anything.

Sri Periyava asked, “What is your name?”

The visitor replied, “Vaidyanathan”

“Your grandfather’s name?” Sri Periyava who know everything in the three worlds asked.

“His name is also Vaidyanathan.”

“Do you know the name of your grandfather’s grandfather?” Sri Periyava asked with a smile.

“I have heard from my grandfather that his name was also Vaidyanathan”, came back the reply.

“Since all of your names are Vaidyanathan, I suppose Vaitheeswaran Koil will be your Kula Deivam.” Sri Periyava said as if He had guessed it based on their response.

Immediately the devotee’s old mother replied, “Now I remember. Once my mother in law had told me that Vaitheeswaran Koil is our Kula Deivam. Now Sri Periyava has also confirmed the same.”

Is there anything in these three worlds that Sri Periyava does not know? But Sri Periyava still asked some questions to show that His answer was based on those questions.

It is this humbleness that is one of the chief traits of Sri Periyava. It is true that if we surrender at the feet of Sri Periyava, we will be blessed with health, wealth, peace and happiness.
