சும்மாயிருப்பதாலும் லோகோபகாரம்

சும்மாயிருந்து கொண்டிருக்கிற ஞானியால் லோகத்துக்கு உபகாரமில்லை என்று சொல்வதுகூடத் தப்புத்தான். அப்படிச் சில பேர் இருப்பதால்தான மற்றவர்களுக்கும் அந்த ஞானிகளுடைய சாந்தியையும் ஆனந்தத்தையும் பார்த்துத் தாங்களும் க்ஷணகாலமாவது மனஸடங்கி இருக்கிற உயர்ந்த அநுபவம் கிடைக்கிறது. நேரே ஒரு ஞானியைப் பார்க்கும் போதுதான் அவனுடைய ஸந்நிதி விசேஷத்தால் நமக்கும் இப்படியொரு விச்ராந்தி கிடைக்கிறது என்றில்லை. சுகப்ரஹ்மம், ஜடபரதர், ஸதாசிவ ப்ரஹ்மேந்த்ராள் போன்ற “சும்மாயிருந்தவர்களை”ப் பற்றிப் படிக்கும்போதும் கேட்கும்போதும்கூடத் தன்னால் நம்முடைய சஞ்சல மனஸையும் ஒரு பெரிய சாந்தி வந்து கொஞ்சம் கவ்விக் கொள்கிறது. சாப்பாடு போடுவது, மருந்து போடுவது, பணம் காசு கொடுப்பது முதலிய எல்லாவற்றையும்விட இந்த சாந்த உபகாரம்தான் பெரிய உபகாரம்.

அது மாத்திரமில்லாமல் இப்படிப்பட்ட ஞானிகளின் மூலமாகவே ஈச்வரன் தன்னுடைய அநுக்ரஹத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, லோக விஷயமாகவே ஜனங்களுக்கு உள்ள ச்ரம்ங்களைக்கூடத் தீர்த்தும் பரமோபகாரம் நடக்கச் செய்கிறான். ஆனாலும் அவன் (ஞானி) என்னவோ, தான் உபகரிப்பதாக நினைக்காமல் ‘சும்மா நிலை’யிலேயேதான் ஊறிப்போய்க் கிடப்பான்.

Service to the society even if remaining idle

To say that an idle enlightened person is of no use to the society, is also wrong.  Only because such people are there, others observing their peace and bliss, control their minds at least for a second and obtain the higher experience.  It is not that only if we meet such an enlightened soul, in person that due to the aura of his presence we also get to experience the serenity. Even when we read or hear about people who remained ‘idle’ like Sukabrahmam, Jadabharathar, Sadasiva Brahmendral, etc., a huge amount of peace descends and occupies automatically our wavering mind.  This peace help is much bigger than the help of offering food, medicines, money, etc.

Not only that, Eswara, only through these enlightened people, reveals his mercy and solves the issues of material nature for the people and ensures rendering of mutual help.  However, the Gnani, would not be thinking that he is rendering the help, but remain entrenched in the ‘idle state’.
