ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மகிமை (15-08-2013)

ப்ரத்யக்ஷ தெய்வம்!

பரிபூர்ண யோகநிலையிலும், பரிசுத்த தவமேன்மையிலும் பிரம்மரிஷி சுகமுனிவரின் உயர்வோடு சாக்ஷாத் பரமேஸ்வர திருஅவதாரம் கொண்டு நம்மிடையே ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீமஹாபெரியவாளாய் மிக எளிமையோடு நம்மை ஆட்கொண்டு அனுக்ரஹிப்பதை நம் பூர்வஜன்ம பலனாக நாம் அனுபவித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.

திரு. சுந்தரராஜன் எனும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பக்தர் 1968-ஆம் வருஷம் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா ஆந்திர பிரதேசத்தில் யாத்திரை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது மனதில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க வேண்டுமென்று மனத் தவிப்பில் இருந்தார். 1969 ஜனவரி 24-ல் தினமும் இரவில் தாங்க முடியாத தலைவலி இவரை வாட்டியது. சுமார் 10 மணி முதல் 11 மணி வரை தினமும் இரவில் இப்படி வலி வந்து சுந்தரராஜன் தவிப்பது வழக்கமாகி விட்டது. ஒருவேளை மூளையில் புற்றுநோய் இருக்குமோ என்ற சந்தேகம் ஏற்படும் வகையில் இந்த தலைவலியின் வேகம் இருந்தது. ஒரு மாத காலம் அலுவலகத்தில் விடுப்பு எடுத்துக் கொண்டு இவர் டில்லியிலிருந்து ஐதராபாத்துக்கு பிப்ரவரி 15-ஆம் நாள் வந்து சேர்ந்தார்.

விஜயவாடாவிலிருந்து இருபது கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் இருந்த தெலாபொரலு என்ற கிராமத்தில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளைத் தரிசித்தார். மாலை சுமார் நாலு மணிக்கு ஸ்ரீபெரியவா விஸ்ராந்தியாக படுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்த போது இவர் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா முன்பாக நின்றார்.

“உனக்கு பிரஹசரணம் னா தெரியுமா?” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கேட்டார். சம்பந்தமில்லாத கேள்வியாக இது இவருக்குத் தோன்றவில்லை. ஏனென்றால் இவர் வடமாள் பிரிவைச் சார்ந்தவராயிருந்தாலும் இவரது மனைவி பிரஹசரணம் பிரிவைச் சார்ந்தவள். அதை சுட்டிக்காட்டி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இப்படிக் கேட்டதாக இவருக்குப் புரிந்தது. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் தான் இப்படி மணந்து கொண்டதாகத் தெரிவித்தார்.

பின் இவர் தன்னுடைய தலைவலி உபாதையைப் பற்றிக் கூறி அதற்காகவே பிரத்யேகமாக ஆபீஸில் விடுப்பு எடுத்து ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் வந்திருப்பதாகவும் அதற்காக பிரபு தயவு செய்து உபாயம் கூற வேண்டுமென்றும் வேண்டி வணங்கினார்.

“உனக்கு சமஸ்கிருதம் தெரியுமோ” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கேட்க இவர் வெட்கத்துடன் சமஸ்கிருதம் படிக்காததைக் கூறினார்.

“நீ தினமும் நாராயணீயத்திலே ஒரு தசகம் படிச்சுண்டு வா” என்று அனுக்ரஹித்து அனுப்பினார்.

இவர் உத்தரவு வாங்கிக் கொண்டு தான் காரில் ஏறி உட்கார்ந்ததும் ஒரு பெண்மணி ஓடிவந்தாள்.

“பெரியவா என்னை உங்க காரிலே விஜயவாடா வரை போகச் சொன்னார்.” என்று சொல்ல இவரும் ஏற்றிக் கொண்டு புறப்பட்டார்.

விஜயவாடா வந்ததும் அந்தப் பெண்மணி தான் தங்கியிருக்கும் வீட்டிற்கு வந்து இரவு உணவு உட்கொண்டுதான் போக வேண்டுமெனக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். ஆனால் இவருக்கோ ஒரே பயம். அங்கிருந்து ஐதராபாத்துக்கு விரைவாகச் சென்றாலும் இரவு பத்து மணியாகிவிடும். இரவு பத்து மணிக்கு தினமும் வரும் தலைவலி வந்துவிடுமே என்பதுதான் அந்த பயம்.

“ரொம்ப நேரமாகாது. சாப்பிட்டுவிட்டுப் போகலாம்” என்று அந்த மாது அக்ரஹாரத்துக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று ஒவ்வொருத்தர் வீட்டிலும் ஒவ்வொரு பலகாரமாக வாங்கிவந்து சுவையாகப் பரிமாறினாள்.

பதினைந்து நிமிடத்தில் சாப்பிட்டு இவர் புறப்பட்டு ஐதராபாத்துக்கு இரவு 10 மணிக்கு பயத்துடன் போய் சேர்ந்து தலைவலியை எதிர்பார்த்தார்.

ஆனால் தலைவலி எங்கு போனதோ? வருமோ வருமோ என்று பயந்து சென்ற மாதங்களில் தவித்த அந்த தலைவலி அன்று வரவேயில்லை. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவளெனும் வைதீஸ்வரரிடம் முறையிட்டதற்கே இப்படி ஒரு பலனா என்று சுந்தரராஜனுக்கு ஒரே வியப்பு.

சரி ஏதோ இன்று மட்டும் வராமல் விட்டு விட்டு நாளை வரலாமென்ற பயமும் சந்தேகமும் இல்லாமலில்லை. ஆனால் அன்றென்ன என்றென்றும் அதன்பின் தினமும் இரவு 10 முதல் ஒரு மணி நேரம் வரை உயிரைஎடுத்த தலைவலி எப்படி மாயமானதோ அது மருந்தீஸ்வரரான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளுக்கு மட்டுமே தெரிந்த மகிமை.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் திருவாக்கின்படி இவர் அவ்வருடம் மார்ச் 7-ஆம் தேதி ஸ்ரீ குருவாயூரப்பன் சன்னதியில் நாராயணீயம் பாராயணத்தை ஆரம்பித்தார். நூறு நாட்கள் பாராயணம் செய்ததற்குள் இவரால் நாலு திருமணங்கள் மங்களகரமாக நிச்சயித்து நடக்கப்பட்டதென்றும், இவர்கள் யாவரும் சஷ்டி அப்தபூர்த்தி செய்து வாழ்வது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அருளால்தான் என்கிறார் இந்த பக்தர்.

எமர்ஜன்ஸி காலத்தில் பார்லிமெண்டில் ஒரு கேள்விக்கான பதிலை இவரைச் சார்ந்த அரசாங்கத் துறைக்காக எழுத வேண்டியிருந்தது. அந்தப் பதிலை எழுதி நிதி அமைச்சக செயலாளரிடம் இவர் சமர்பிக்க, அந்த செகரட்ரி அறையிலே அதைப் பற்றி விவாதிக்க இவரை அழைத்தார்.

ஒரு ஐ.ஏ.எஸ். அதிகாரியான செகரட்ரி அந்தப் பதிலில் சில மாற்றங்களை செய்தாக வேண்டுமென வலியுறுத்தினார். கீழ் அதிகாரியான இவரோ அந்த மாற்றங்களில் தனக்கு ஒப்புதல் இல்லை என்றும், அதை மாற்றக்கூடாதென்றும் தன் கருத்தைக் கூறினார்.

“மன்னிக்க வேண்டும். அப்படி பதிலை மாற்றி அமைப்பது சரியான உண்மையை மறைப்பதாக ஆகும். அப்படியே மாற்றினால் அதற்கு முழுப் பொறுப்பையும் நீங்கள்தான்  ஏற்க வேண்டும்” என்று மிக அழுத்தமாக இவர் கூறியபோது, தன் கீழ் வேலை செய்யும் ஒருவர் தன் கட்டளையை கீழ்ப்படியாததில் அதிகாரிக்கு கோபம்.

மிகவும் பதட்டமடைந்த அதிகாரி உடனே போன் செய்து ரிசர்வ் பேங்க் டெபுடி கவர்னரை டில்லிக்கு விமானத்தில் அடுத்த நாளே வந்தாக வேண்டுமென்று இவர் முன்னாலேயே உத்தரவிட்டார். சூழ்நிலை மிகவும் பாதகமாக இருந்தது.

“சரி! நீங்க போகலாம்…..ரிசர்வ் பேங்க் டெபுடி கவர்னரை நாளைக்கு இது சம்பந்தமாக ரெகார்டுகளுடன் வரச் சொல்லியிருக்கேன். நீங்க எழுதி வைச்சிருக்கிற இந்த பதிலுக்கும் அவர் கொண்டு வரப்போகிற விபரங்களுக்கும் தாறுமாறா ஏதாவது இருந்தால் உங்க மீது உடனே கடுமையான நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டி வரும்”.

இப்படி மிரட்டலும், பயமுறுத்தலுமாக அதிகாரி இவரை அறையிலிருந்து போகச் சொன்ன போது இவருக்கு பயத்தில் வியர்த்துக் கொட்டியது. தன்மேல் எப்படியாவது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க தீர்மானித்து விட்டதால் தான் செகரட்ரி கோபமாக இத்தனை தடாலடி விவகாரம் செய்கிறார் என்பது சுந்தரராஜனுக்குப் புரிந்தது.

தான் எழுதி வைத்த பதில் நேர்மையாகவும், சத்தியமாகவும் இருந்தாலும் அதிகாரி தன் கோபத்தைக் காட்ட எந்த வகையிலும் முயற்சிக்கலாமென்பதும் இவருக்கு அச்சத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

அன்று இரவு அடுத்த நாள் தன் நிலைமை என்னவாகுமோ என்ற நடுக்கமும் கவலையுமாக தூக்கம் வராமல், ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளையே நினைத்து வேண்டிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

அதிகாலையில் ஒரு அதிசயம்.

இரவின் ரோடில் ‘கணேஷ் மந்திர்’ என்ற கோயிலின் அர்ச்சகர் இவர் வீட்டுக் கதவைத் தட்ட இவர் திறந்தார். அந்த அர்ச்சகர் கையில் பிரசாதத்துடன் நின்றார்.

“ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை நேத்து தரிசனம் செய்யப் போனேன். அவா இந்த பிரசாதத்தை உங்க கிட்ட இன்னிக்கு விடியற்காலையிலேயே கட்டாயம் சேர்த்துடணும்னு கொடுத்து அனுப்பினா” என்றார்.

இவருக்கு இன்ப அதிர்ச்சி! இங்கே ஒரு பக்தன் இரவு முழுவதும் வேதனைப்பட்டு வேண்டிக் கொண்டதை எங்கிருந்தோ எப்படியோ தெரிந்து அனுக்ரஹிக்கும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கருணையை எண்ணியபடி கண்ணீர் மல்க பிரசாதங்களைப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

இனி எது வந்தாலும் கவலை இல்லை என்ற தெம்பு ஏற்பட்டுவிட்டது! அன்று மதியம் பதினொரு மணியளவில் அதுபோல் நிலைமை தலைகீழானது. அப்போது நடந்த அதிகாரிகளின் கூட்டத்தில், அந்த ரிசர்வ் பேங்க் கவர்னர், சுந்தரராஜன் எழுதியிருந்த பதில் முற்றிலும் பொருத்தமானதென்றும் அவையாவும் சரியான தகவலை உடையதென்றும் அதில் சிறிதும் மாற்றம் செய்யக் கூடாதென்றும் கூற, மீட்டிங்கில் மற்ற மூத்த அதிகாரிகளும் இதையே வழி மொழிந்தனர்.

செகரட்ரிக்கு என்ன செய்வதென்று தெரியவில்லை. தர்மசங்கடமான நிலையில் சுந்தரராஜனிடம் நேற்று கடுமையாக தான் நடந்துக் கொண்டதற்கு வருந்துவதாகவும், அதற்கு பிராயச்சித்தமாக தன் அறையிலேயே இவரையும் மதிய உணவு அருந்துமாறு கேட்டுக் கொண்டு அழைத்தார்.

ஒரு அரசாங்கத் துறையில் இப்படி ஒரு கீழ் அதிகாரியை மேல் அதிகாரி உபசரித்துக் கூப்பிடுவது எப்போதும் நடப்பதல்ல. ஆனால் உலகாளும் மேலதிகாரியான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் அனுக்ரஹம் முன் இவையெல்லாம் எம்மாத்திரம் என்று சுந்தரராஜனுக்கு அப்போது தோன்றியிருக்கலாம்.

ஐ.நா. சபையின் ஒரு முக்கிய பதவிக்கான தேர்வு நடந்தபோது இவர் தன்னுடைய விபரங்கள் அடங்கிய மெடிகல் ரிப்போர்ட்டை தேர்வுக்காக டெல்லியில் கொடுக்கச் சென்றார். 1976-ஆம் வருடம் பிப்ரவரி 4-ஆம் தேதியன்று இவர் அப்படி ஐ.நா. சபையின் டில்லி அலுவலகத்தில் கொடுத்தபோது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் திருக்கரங்கள் அனுக்ரஹிப்பதாக காட்சி தெரிந்தது. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் மேல் கொண்டிருந்த மிகுந்த நம்பிக்கையோடு தான் நிச்சயம் தேர்வாகிவிடுவோம் என்று உறுதியாக நினைத்து அப்படி அயல்நாடு போவதற்கு முன் தன் பத்து வயது மகனுக்கு திருப்பதியில் உபநயனம் செய்து வைக்க ஒரு மாதம் விடுப்பு எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் மகாசிவராத்திரி அன்று தரிசித்து தான் அயல்நாடு செல்ல நேர்ந்தால், வயதான பெற்றோர்களை விட்டுவிட்டுச் செல்லும் நிலைமை ஏற்படுமென்றும், அதனால் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளே எது சரியானதோ அதை அனுக்ரஹிக்க வேண்டுமென்று வேண்டிக் கொண்டார்.

அடுத்தநாள் டெல்லியில் அலுவலகத்தில் விடுப்பு முடிந்து சேர்ந்தபோது ஐ.நா.சபையிலிருந்து இவரைத் தேர்வு செய்து தந்தி மூலம் உத்தரவு வந்தது. பின் ஜூன் மாதம் இவர் ஸ்பெய்னில் ஐ.நா. சபையில் அந்தப் பதவியை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டார். பதவி ஏற்றபின் இவர் தேர்வான விபரங்கள் அடங்கிய கோப்பு இவரிடம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

அந்தக் கோப்பில் ஒரு அதிசயம் காத்திருந்தது. அந்தப் பதவிக்கு சிபாரிசு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்த ஏழு நாடுகளின் நபர்களில் அந்த நாட்டின் ஃபைனான்ஸ் செகரட்ரி பிளாக்லிருந்து ஒரு நபரை தேர்வு செய்து அதை பிரதம மந்திரிக்கு அனுப்பியிருந்தது தெரியவந்தது. ஆனால் டிரினிடாட், டொபாகோவின் பிரதம மந்திரியான டாக்டர். எரிக் வில்லியம்ஸ், அதை ஏற்காமல் அந்தப் பெயரில் இவர் பெயரைத் தேர்வு செய்து உத்தரவில் கையெழுத்திட்டிருந்தார்.

இதில் அதிசயம் என்ன? அந்த அயல்நாட்டுப் பிரதம மந்திரி கையெழுத்திட்ட அந்த அயல்நாட்டு நேரம் சரியாக இந்திய நேரத்தின் மகாசிவராத்திரியன்று சுந்தரராஜன் உலகெல்லாம் உணர்ந்து ஓதற்கரியும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ பரமேஸ்வரரான பெரியவாளைத் தரிசித்து இதற்கான அனுக்ரஹம் வேண்டிய அதே நேரம்.

பக்தருக்கு மெய்சிலிர்த்தது.

1987-ஆம் வருடம் நவம்பர் மாதம் சுந்தரராஜனுக்கு ஒரு கடுமையான சவாலான பணிகொடுக்கப்பட்டது. யுகோஸ்லோவியாவில் ஒரு அகில நாடுகளின் வர்த்தக சபையின் பிரதிநிதிக்கான தேர்தலில் நம் நாட்டின் உறுப்பினருக்கு பிரசாரம் செய்ய இவரை இந்திய அரசாங்கம் நியமித்தது.

அப்போது இந்திய நாட்டில் வறட்சி காரணமாக இதற்கான செலவுகளை தாராளமாக செய்ய முடியாத நிலையில் இவருக்கு பக்கபலமாக ஆட்களையோ, தேர்தல் பிரசாரத்தில் செலவழிக்கப் பணமோ கிடைக்கவில்லை.

ஆனால் இந்திய உறுப்பினரும், பாகிஸ்தான் உறுப்பினரும் நேருக்கு நேர் போட்டியிடும் நிலைமை வந்தது. மற்ற 27 நாடுகள் கலந்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை. பாகிஸ்தான் வேட்பாளருக்கு தக்க பலமாக ஆறு உயர் அதிகாரிகளுடன் மற்ற நாடுகளின் அங்கத்தினரை மகிழ்விக்க கேளிக்கைகளுக்காக நிறைய பணமும் அந்த நாடு கொடுத்திருந்தது.

பெல்கிரேட் சென்று நம் நாட்டு தூதரை சுந்தரராஜன் சந்தித்தபோது அவர் “நீங்க எப்படி பிரசாரம் செஞ்சாலும், பாகிஸ்தான்காரன் மத்தவங்களுக்கு பணத்தைக் கொட்டி சந்தோஷப்படுத்தி நம்மை தோக்க வைக்கத்தான் போறான்.” என்பதாக நம்பிக்கையில்லாமல் கூறினார். சுந்தரராஜனுக்கும் அதுதான் யதார்த்தமான உண்மை எனத் தோன்றியது.

இருந்தாலும் நாடு தனக்கு இட்டிருந்த பணியை இந்த இக்கட்டில் எப்படி நிறைவேற்றுவதென்று மன உளைச்சலோடு தூக்கம் வராமல் இரவு சென்றது.

அதிகாலை ஒரு அதிசய கனவு! ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவா இவர் முன் தோன்றுகிறார். தன் இருகரங்களை விரித்து அபயகரமாகக் காட்டுகிறார். நடுநாயகமாக நடராஜ மூர்த்தியான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தரிசனம் நல்க வலது திருக்கரத்தில் வெங்கடாஜலபதியும் இடது திருக்கரத்தில் பத்மாவதி தாயாரும் தோன்றி அருளுகின்றனர்.

இந்த சொப்பனம் கண்டவுடன் மெய்சிலிர்க்க இவர் உடனே எழுந்து அப்போது எத்தனை மணி என்றும் பார்க்காமல் நம் நாட்டு தூதரை போன் மூலம் தொடர்பு கொண்டு தான் கண்ட கனவைக் கூறினார். ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளைக் கனவில் காண்பது அத்தனை சுலபமல்ல. அப்படி கனவில் மகான் வந்து ஆசீர்வதித்தால் எப்படியும் நம்நாடுதான் ஜெயிக்கப் போகிறதென்று இவர் உணர்ச்சிப் பொங்க பேசினார். அந்த அகாலத்திலும் தூதுவர் இவர் சொல்வதை அவமதிக்காமல் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.

அடுத்த நாளில் 27 நாடுகளின் வாக்காளர்களிடம் சுந்தரராஜன் அவர்கள் கேட்ட கேள்விகளுக்கு பதிலளித்துப் பேசினார். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் மாபெரும் கருணையினால் அந்த 27 நாடுகளிலிருந்து 20 நாடுகளின் வோட்டு இந்தியாவிற்கும் மற்ற 7 வோட்டு பாகிஸ்தானுக்கும் கிடைக்க இந்திய பிரதிநிதி அமோக வெற்றியடைந்தார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் அனுக்ரஹ மேன்மை இப்படியெல்லாம் அதிசயங்கள் காட்ட காத்திருக்க., அந்த மகானை சரணமடைந்து வாழ்வில் எல்லா பிரச்சனைகளிலிருந்தும் விடுபட்டு, ஆரோக்யமாக ஆனந்தமான சர்வமங்களத்துடன், சௌபாக்யத்துடன் நாம் வாழ்வோமாக.

“Pratyaksha Deivam”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

During the year 1968, when Sri Periyava was camping at Andhra Pradesh, one of the devotee Shri Sundararajan had a burning desire for Sri Periyava’s darshan. From January 24, 1969, he started to suffer from a serious head-ache. The head-ache used to appear daily between 10-11 pm. The pain was so unbearable that he had decided that it must be brain cancer. So he took leave from work for a month and travelled to Hyderabad on February 15.

He had Sri Periyava’s darshan at Telaprolu, a village situated at about twenty kilometers from Vijayawada. It was 4 pm and Sri Periyava was relaxing at that time. Shri Sundararajan went and stood before Sri Periyava.

“Do you about Brahacharanam?” Sri Periyava asked him. This question did not sound odd for him, because even though he was a Vadama, his wife belonged to Brahacharanam sect. He understood the reason for Sri Periyava’s question and told Him about his marriage.

After that he told Sri Periyava about his head-ache, his plan for a month leave from work and requested for some remedy.

“Do you know Sanskrit?” Sri Periyava asked. With shame, he replied that he did now the language.

Sri Periyava said “Read a dasakam from Narayaneeyam daily.”

As he got the permission to leave, as soon as he got into his car, a woman came towards the car.

She said, “Sri Periyava asked me to go to Vijayawada with you in the car.” Sundararajan allowed the woman to travel in the car.

As soon as they reached Vijayawada, she requested him to come home for dinner. But he hesitated for a moment. This was due to the fact that, if he delays his travel, he might not reach Hyderabad before 10 pm and his head-ache would have started.

But the woman said that it will not take a lot of time. All the houses in the Agraharam gave a tiffin and the woman served them to Sundararajan. He finished dinner within 15 minutes and proceeded on his journey to Hyderabad. He reached there just before 10 pm and was expecting his head-ache to start anytime soon.

But the head-ache did not come that day. Where did it go? Sundararajan was surprised by the blessings from Sri Periyava, who is none other Vaitheeswaran Himself. But he still had a doubt if the head-ache might come back the next day. But after that day, the painful head-ache never came back. It was as if only Sri Periyava knew the secret behind it.

But as per Sri Periyava’s instruction, on March 7^th, at Guruvayur temple, he started parayanam of Narayaneeyam. Within the first 100 days of the parayanam, he had facilitated four marriages and by the grace of Sri Periyava, all the couples have celebrated Shashtiabthapoorthy.

During the emergency, he was asked to write a letter to the parliament concerning a question raised regarding his department. He submitted the response to the secretary of the Finance Minister. He was called for a meeting to discuss the contents of the letter. In the meeting, the secretary who was an IAS officer, insisted on changing some of the contents. But even though the secretary was a senior official, he refused to change the content and said that the letter contained all the correct information.

Sundararajan said to the secretary, “If you want to change the content, it will not portray the true information. Even then, if you would like to go ahead, then you will have to take responsibility for all the contents.” The secretary was angry with his response.  He immediately called the deputy governor of Reserve Bank and asked him to fly to Delhi the next day and also asked him to bring some documents related to this letter. The situation was going out of control.

Then the secretary said to Sundararajan, “You can go now. I have asked the Reserve Bank deputy governor to bring some documents related to this. If I find any of the information you have said in the letter to be incorrect, then there will be serious action taken against you.”

Sundararajan panicked and started to sweat profusely. He understood that the officer was not satisfied with him and is doing these things just to take some actions against him. Even though he know that the information in the letter was correct, he also knew that the officer can take any kind of actions to show his anger. The same night, Sundararajan was unable to sleep, not knowing what will happen the following day. He continuously kept praying to Sri Periyava.

The next day early morning, a miracle happened. The priest at the Irwin road “Ganesh Mandir” knocked on Sundararajan’s door. “I had gone for Sri Periyava’s darshan yesterday and He had asked me to give this prasadam to you by early morning.” It was a shocking surprise for Sundararajan. With tears in his eyes, he accepted the prasadam, thinking how Sri Periyava being far away could still answer his prayers.

He now felt that everything will be alright. At 11 am that day, everything had changed. In the meeting between the officers and the reserve bank governor, the governor favored Sundararajan and clearly stated that all the information in the letter were correct and the contents should not be modified. All the other senior officials present in the meeting also proposed the same.

The secretary did not know what needs to be done. He felt sorry for being angry with Sundararajan the previous day and also invited him for lunch at his room. Usually a senior government office never invite their subordinates in this manner. But Sundararajan thought that when someone has the manager of the entire world like Sri Periyava, then this should not be something special.

For an important examination for a job at the United Nations, he had gone to Delhi to submit the medical reports. When he was submitting the documents at the UN’s Delhi office on February 4^th, 1976, he felt as if Sri Periyava was blessing it. He was very confident that he will be selected and since he will have to travel abroad for the job, he took a leave for a month to go to Tirupathi for the Upanayanam of his ten year old son.

He went for Sri Periyava’s darshan on Maha Shivarathiri and told Him that if he had to travel to foreign country, he will have to leave his aged parents. He also prayed to Sri Periyava to bless whatever His Holiness felt as the right thing.

The following day when he joined his office back after the leave, he received a telegram that he had been selected for the UN job. During June, he started his new job for UN in Spain. After he had joined the job, he received the documents used for his selection.

There was a surprise waiting for him in those documents. Out of the short listed candidates from seven different countries, he came to know that one of the candidate was forwarded by the Finance Secretary Blackley to the Prime Minster. But the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Dr. Eric Williams, did not accept that and had instead picked Sundararajan’s name and had signed the order.

So what is the miracle in this? The time the foreign Prime Minister signed the order was the same Maha Shivarathiri night when Sundararajan had gone for Periyava’s darshan regarding the UN job. Sundararajan was astounded.

During November 1987, Sundararajan was given a challenging task. He was appointed by the Indian government to campaign for an Indian national standing in an election for a commerce chamber in Yugoslavia. Since there was a major famine in India during that time, he did not get the necessary personal or monetary support from the government.

There was a direct competition between the candidates of India and Pakistan.  The remaining twenty seven countries did not participate. The Pakistan candidate has six higher officials from the Pakistan government supporting him. He also received enough money to entertain the officials of the other countries.

Sundararajan went and met with the Indian ambassador at Belgrade. The ambassador was not very positive and said that the Pakistan candidate has spent a lot of money and it is very difficult to defeat him. Sundararajan also felt it was true. Still since he was assigned the task by the government, he spent sleepless nights thinking how to resolve this problem.

That morning he had a strange dream. Sri Periyava appeared in the dream, blessing him with both hands raised. As Sri Periyava appeared as Lord Nataraja in the center, Lord Balaji appeared in His right hand and Padmavathy thayar appeared in the left hand.

Sundararajan woke up immediately after the dream and without checking the time called the Indian ambassador and informed him about Sri Periyava appearing in his dream and said that it is not easy to see Sri Periyava in one’s dream and with His blessings, the Indian candidate will be all set to win. Even though the call was placed late at night, the ambassador heard what Sundararajan had to say without disregarding him.

The following day, Sundararajan answered all the questions that the members of the twenty seven countries had. With the blessings of Sri Periyava, the Indian candidate won with a majority of 20 votes with the Pakistan candidate only getting the remaining 7 votes.

With all the different kind blessings that Sri Periyava has bestowed upon His devotees, it is true that if we surrender at the feet of Periyava we will be blessed with health, wealth, peace and happiness.
