நைவேத்யமானது ஈஸ்வரனுக்கு; அந்த அன்னமும் ஈஸ்வரன்தான்; அது விழும் அக்னியும் அவனே; இந்த ஆஹூதி பண்ணுகிறானே, அதாவது சாப்பிடுகிறானே, இவனும் ஈஸ்வரன்தான்; இதனால் அடைகிற லக்ஷ்யமும் அவனேதான் — ‘ப்ரஹ்மார்பணம் ப்ரஹ்ம ஹவிர் ப்ரஹ்மாக்நௌ ப்ரஹ்மணா ஹுதம்’ ப்ரஹ்மைவ தேந கந்தவ்யம்‘ என்று சாப்பாட்டு விஷயத்தைப் பூரா பூரா திவ்ய ரஸத்தில் கரைத்துவிட வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்
The food is offered to Eswara; He is the food itself; He is the Agni who cooks; Easwara is the one who is doing offering (the one who eats) as well. The end purpose of this action is Easwara too’. This is what the Bhagavad Gita says,
“Brahmaarpanam brahma havir brahmagnau brahmanaahutam I
brahmaiva tena gantavyam”
(ब्रह्मार्पणं ब्रह्म हविर्ब्रह्माग्रौ ब्रह्मणा हुतम् ।
ब्रह्मैव तेन गन्तव्यं )
