யாமிருக்க பயம் ஏன்!

ஸ்ரீ சக்ரத்தின் சூட்சுமம்

சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் தவ வலிமைக்கு ஈடானதொரு ஞானமுனிவராய் நாமெல்லாம் தரிசித்து மகிழ்வடையும் பாக்யம் அருளும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா சாக்ஷாத் அந்த பரமேஸ்வர அவதாரமே என்பதில் அனுபவித்த பக்தர்களுக்கு ஸ்திரமான நம்பிக்கையுண்டு.

அப்படிப்பட்ட பக்தருக்குள் ஒருவரான அப்பய்ய குப்புசாமி என்பவர். தான் அனுபவித்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா மகிமையை சொல்கிறார். 1974 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ஒரு நாள் இவர் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை காஞ்சியில் தரிசித்தபோது,

“பகவத் பாதாசார்யாள் இயற்றிய சௌந்தர்யலஹரியை அதற்கான பல சமஸ்கிருத உரைகளுடன் இந்தி, தமிழ், ஆங்கிலப் பொருள் விளக்கம், மற்றும் அதன் பிரயோகம் இவைகளுடன் யந்திரம் முதலான தகவல்களுடன் பிரசுரிக்க வேண்டும். இப்போதுதான் நீ ரிடையர் ஆயிட்டயே, இதைப் பண்ணேன். மாம்பலத்திலே இதுக்கு முன்னாலே கணேஷ் அண்ட் கோ போட்ட இதுமாதிரியான புஸ்தகம் இப்போ கிடைக்கலையாம்” என்றார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

எப்போதோ எதைப் பற்றியோ வந்த புத்தகம் இப்போது கிடைக்கவில்லயே என்ற ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அக்கறை ஒரு மடாதிபதிக்கான அருட்பணியில் மகானுடைய சிரத்தை அதில் தெரிந்தது.

“எனக்கு இதைச் செய்ய சமஸ்கிருத ஞானம் இல்லையே” என்று இவர் தயங்கினார்.

“உனக்கிருக்கிற ஞானம் போதும், திருச்சிராப்பள்ளியிலே நிறைய பண்டிதர்கள் இருக்கா அவாளைக் கேட்டுக்கோ” என்று பெரிய பொறுப்பிற்கு அருட்கட்டளையிட்டு அனுப்பி விட்டார்.

இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் திரு குப்புசாமி முயன்று பல நூல் நிலையங்களுக்குக் கடிதம் எழுதி சௌந்தர்யலஹரியின் உரைகளின் பிரதியைப் பெற்றும், பல சமஸ்கிருத வித்வான்களின் உதவியோடும் ஒரு வழியாக சுலோகங்கள் அதன் கீழ் இந்தி, தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம் ஆகிய மொழி பெயர்ப்பு என ஒருவிதமாக முடித்தார்.

பின் புத்தகத்தில் போட வேண்டிய படங்களைப் பற்றி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் உத்தரவு கேட்க காஞ்சி சென்றார்.

“காமாட்சி, மீனாட்சி, அகிலாண்டேஸ்வரி, லலிதா திரிபுரசுந்தரி, ஆதிசங்கரர், ஸ்ரீசக்ர படமும் மந்திர சாஸ்திரங்களிலே சொல்லியிருக்கிற மாதிரி இருக்கணும். ஸ்ரீ சக்ரம் இவைகளைப் போடலாம். லலிதாம்பிகை படமும், ஸ்ரீ சக்ர படமும் மந்திர சாஸ்திரங்களிலே சொல்லியிருக்கிற மாதிரி இருக்கணும். ஸ்ரீ சக்ரம் ஸ்ரீ வித்யை புஸ்தகங்களிலே சொல்லியிருக்கிற வர்ணங்களோட வரையணும்” என்று கூறி அவைகளை யார், யாரிடம் விபரமாக தெரிந்து கொள்ளலாமென்று அவர்களின் பெயர், முகவரி முதற்கொண்டு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா விளக்கிய விதம் இவருக்கு மலைப்பாக இருந்தது.

புத்தகத்தின் நடுவே போடப்படும் படங்களுக்காக இத்தனை முக்கியத்துவத்தைக் கொடுத்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா விவரித்து அதை யார் யாரிடம் கேட்டுத் தெரியவேண்டுமென்று பெயர் விலாசத்துடன் கூறியவிதம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இதுபோன்ற விஷயங்களில் நாமும் காட்ட வேண்டிய சிரத்தையை புகட்டுவதாக இவர் உணர்ந்தார்.

“என்னை பெரியவா சோதிக்கக்கூடாது. உண்மையிலேயே இத்தனைப் பெரிய காரியத்தை நான் எப்படி பெரியவா அபிப்ராயப்படி முடிப்பேனோ தெரியலே” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் தன் பயத்தைத் தெரிவித்தார்.

அதற்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா ”பயப்படாமல் போ. இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் நாளைக்குள்ளே புஸ்தகங்களைப் பார்த்து ஸ்ரீசக்ரம், லலிதாம்பிகைக்கான அம்சங்கள், வர்ணங்கள் எல்லாத்தையும் ஒருத்தரை எழுதச் சொல்றேன். அம்பாள் உனக்கு அனுக்ரஹம் செய்வாள். எந்த சந்தேகம் வந்தாலும் இங்கே வா” என்று தெம்பூட்டி அனுப்பினார்.

திருச்சிக்கு திரும்பிய குப்புசாமி, அங்கே ஸ்ரீ வித்யா பற்றிய விஷயங்களை அறிந்த ஸ்ரீ ராதாகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகளிடம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் ஆக்ஞையை விவரித்து உதவிடுமாறு கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். சாஸ்திரிகள் அவருக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒர் ஒவியரிடம் வரையக் கொடுக்கலாம் என்று ஆலோசனை சொன்னார்.

நடுவே ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா தன் வாக்கின்படி சென்னையிலிருந்த ஸ்ரீவித்யா மந்திரசாஸ்திர நிபுணரிடமிருந்து லலிதா திரிபுரசுந்தரி, ஸ்ரீசக்ரம் ஆகியவைகளின் படங்கள், அவற்றை எப்படி வரைய வேண்டும், படங்களில் எனென்ன வர்ணங்கள் எந்தெந்த பாகங்களில் வரவேண்டும் போன்ற விபரங்களை இவருக்கு கிடைக்கும்படி அனுப்பி வைத்தார்.

இந்த விபரங்களுடன் குப்புசாமி, ராதாகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகளுடன் அந்த வயதான ஓவியரை சந்தித்தார்.

“நான் வரையறதை ஒரு வருஷகாலமா விட்டுட்டேன். இருந்தாலும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னாங்கறதாலே என்னாலே முடிஞ்ச வரைக்கும் படங்களை வரைஞ்சுத் தர்றேன். ஒரு மாதமாகும். பத்து நாளுக்குள்ளே ஒரு மாடல் ஸ்க்கெட்ச் போட்டுத் தருகிறேன். அவைகளை பெரியவாளிடம் காட்டி அவர் சரின்னு பெரியவா சொன்ன பிறகு செய்து முடிப்பேன்” என்றார்.

பத்து நாட்கள் கழிந்தன. ஓவியர் திரிபுரசுந்தரி படம் வரைந்து கண்ணை மட்டும் திறக்காமல் பெரிய அட்டையில் வரைந்திருந்தார். ஸ்ரீசக்ரத்தையும் சாஸ்திரப்படி வரைந்துக் கொடுத்திருந்தார். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சரி என்று சொன்னதும் திரிபுரசுந்தரி அம்மனின் கண்களை வரைந்து திறப்பதாகச் சொன்னார்.

மறுதினம் இந்த இரண்டு படங்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு இவர் காஞ்சி சென்றார். அப்போது அங்கு வேதபரிபாலன சபையின் கூட்டம் நடந்துக் கொண்டிருந்தது. அதில் வேத பண்டிதர்கள் தர்க்கம் செய்து சில சந்தேகங்களுக்கு விவாதித்து விடை காண்பார்கள். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் ஞானமூர்த்தி ஏதும் அறியாதவர்போல் அந்த தர்க்கங்களைக் கேட்பதும் ஒன்றுமறியாமல் சந்தேகம் சந்தேகமாக கேட்டு விட்டு பின் சபைக்கு பல அர்த்தங்களையும், அரிய தர்மங்களையும் உபதேசித்து அனுக்ரஹம் புரிவார்.

பக்தர் ஸ்ரீசக்ரத்தின் படத்தைக் கொண்டுபோன நேரம் இந்த சதஸ் எனும் வித்வான்களின் விவாதம் நடக்கும் சமயமாக அமைத்துக் கொண்டது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் திரு நாடகமே.

மாதா திரிபுரசுந்தரியின் படம் நன்றாக வந்துள்ளதாகவும் கண்ணைத் திறக்கலாமென்றும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உத்தரவருளினார். பின் ஸ்ரீசக்ர படத்தைக் கவனிக்கத் தொடங்கினார்.

சிறுதுநேரம் பார்த்துவிட்டு “அம்பாள் படம் நன்னா இருக்கு. ஸ்ரீசக்ரத்தில் மூன்று வளையங்களுக்கும், கோணங்களுக்கும் நடுவே உள்ள பாகத்தை ஏன் வெள்ளையாக விட்டுட்டார்” என்றுக் கேட்டார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

உடனே அந்த நுணுக்கமான விஷயத்திற்கு விடைகேட்டு பதில் தரும் விளையாட்டை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தொடங்கியது தெரிந்தது. சபைக்கு திருவையாறு பாலகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகள், இஞ்சிக் கொல்லை ஜகதீச சாஸ்திர்கள் மற்றும் ஸ்ரீ வித்யா உபாசகர் ராமகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகளையும் அழைத்து வர அனுப்பினார். ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் ஸ்ரீ வித்யை சம்பந்தபட்ட சில நூல்களையும் கொண்டுவரச் சொன்னார்.

வித்வான்களிடம் ஸ்ரீசக்ர படத்தை காண்பித்து “ஸ்ரீ சக்ரத்தில் த்ரிவாலயத்திற்கும் 43 கோணங்களுக்கும் நடுவிலுள்ள இடைவெளிக்கு ஏதாவது வர்ணம் சொல்லியிருக்கா?” என்றார்.

ஒருவர் பொதுவாக அந்த பாகத்திற்கு எந்த வர்ணமும் குறிப்பிடவில்லை என்றும் ருத்ரயாமளத்தில் பார்க்கலாமென்றார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா. உடனே அந்த புத்தகத்தைக் கொண்டுவரச் சொல்லி 20 நிமிடங்கள் பார்த்தார்கள்.

அந்த புத்தகத்தில் அதைப் பற்றி ஒன்றும் தெரியவில்லை என்றனர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “அந்த பாகம் ஆகாயத்தைக் குறிக்கலாம். அதனாலே அதுக்கு வர்ணமில்லை போலிருக்கு” என்றார்.

பிறகு சிறிது யோசித்துவிட்டு “வெள்ளை காகிதத்தில் வரையும்போது அந்த பாகத்திற்கு வர்ணம் ஏதும் கொடுக்காமல் விட வேண்டியதா போறது. அதனாலே அந்த பாகம் தெரியும். பாக்கி எல்லா கோணங்கள், த்ரிவலயம், த்ரிரேகைன்னு எல்லாத்துக்கும் வர்ணம் இருக்கு. ஸ்ரீசக்ரம் முழுவதும் அம்பாள்தான். அங்கங்கே ஒரு தேவதை கூட இருக்கா. ஆனா இந்த இடைவெளியிலே ஒரு தேவதையுமில்லே. அம்பாளுடைய வர்ணம், ஸ்ரீசக்ரத்திலே ஹிரண்யவர்ணம் என்றுதானே சொல்லியிருக்கு. அதனாலே இந்த இடைவெளியிலே தங்கவர்ணம் கொடுக்கலாமோல்யோ” என்று வித்வான்களைப் பார்த்து ஒன்றும் தெரியாதவர்போல் மகாஞானேஸ்வரரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கேட்டார்.

“ரொம்ப சரியா பெரியவா தீர்ப்பு சொல்லிட்டா” என்று வித்வான்கள் ஆமோதித்தனர். இப்படி ஒரு நுணுக்கமான விஷயங்களில் சந்தேகத்தை உண்டு பண்ணி, அந்த சிறிய விஷயத்தைப் பற்றி அதுவரை யாரும் கவனமாக தெரிந்துக் கொள்ளவில்லையென்பதை அனைவரையும் உணரும்படி செய்து அதில் உள்ள சூட்சுமத்தை பலருக்கு அறிவிக்கும் இப்படிப்பட்ட நாடகங்கள் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளை சாட்சாத் ஈஸ்வர திரு அவதாரமாகக் காட்டுவது பல வித்வான்களின் அனுபவமாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

அந்த ஞானமலையின் மகிமைக்கு ஈடேது!

நம்பினோரைக் கைவிடாத தெய்வம்

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் பக்தரான திரு. கணேசன் என்பவரின் அரிய அனுபவமாக சமீபத்தில் நடந்த ஒரு சம்பவம் அமைந்துள்ளது. அப்பத்தூரில் வசித்துவரும் கணேசன் அவர்களும் அவருடைய மனைவி சியாமளாவும் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் இல்லத்தில் அமைந்திட்ட ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் திருக்கோயிலின் பூர்ண அனுக்ரஹத்தை உணர்ந்தவர்களாக பக்தி கொண்டிருந்தனர். இப்பேற்பட்ட ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் பேரருளை தன்னை சார்ந்த உறவினர்களும் அனுபவிக்க வேண்டுமென்ற ஆவல் கொண்டு மகிமையை அவர்களிடம் எடுத்துரைப்பதுண்டு.

திரு. கணேசனின் மைத்துனி ஸ்ரீமதி பாமதியும், கணவர் திரு.ராமசந்திரனும் ஹைதராபாத்தில் வசித்து வருகின்றனர். சுமார் 1.5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் திருமதி பாமதிக்கு மார்பகப் புற்றுநோய் கண்டு அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்து சற்றே குணமாகியிருந்தது. மெதுவாக நடமாடிக் கொண்டிருந்தவர் திடீரென்று மூளையிலும் புற்று நோய் பரவியதாகக் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டு, சிகிச்சை அளித்துக் கொண்டிருக்க, வலிப்பு ஏற்பட்டு பேச்சும் தடைப்பட்டதில் படுத்த படுக்கையாய் ஆகிவிட்டார்.

இப்படி ஒரு மோசமான நிலையில் அவர்கள் பெண்ணின் கல்யாணம் நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்டது. பெண்ணின் கல்யாணமும் அக்டோபர் 28 ஆம் தேதி ஹைதராபாத்தில் நடைப்பெறுவதாக இருந்த நிலையில் குடும்பத்தாருக்கு சொல்லொன்னா கவலை. சொந்தத் தாயாரே இப்படி சற்றும் அசையாமல் படுத்த படுக்கையாகிவிட்டதில் குறித்த கல்யாணம் நல்லபடியாக நடந்தேற வேண்டுமே என்று பயமும் மேலிட்டது. எந்த அசந்தர்ப்பமும் நேராமல் சுபகாரியம் நடந்தாக வேண்டுமே என்று பெரும் கவலையில் ஆழ்ந்தனர்.

நிச்சயதார்த்தத்திற்கு வந்திருந்து திரு. கணேசன் அவர்கள் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் கவலையை விட்டுவிடும்படி கூறினார். அடுத்த அனுஷ புண்ணிய தினத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கு 108 இளநீர் அபிஷேகம் செய்யும்படி கூறி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா எப்படியும் காப்பாற்றுவாரென்று ஆறுதல் கூறினார்.

அதன்படியே அவர்கள் சார்பில் பங்காரு அம்மன் தோட்டத்தில் அருள்பாலிக்கும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளுக்கு அந்த செப்டம்பர் 3 ஆம் தேதி இளநீர் அபிஷேகம் செய்விக்கப்பட்டு மனப்பூர்வமாக வேண்டிக் கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

அடுத்த வாரமே ஒரு அதிசயம் நடந்தது. திருமதி பாமதிக்கு மூளையில் அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்பட்டது. இவர் குணம் அடைவது மிக கடினம் என்று கருதிய மருத்துவர்களாலேயே இந்த அபாயகரமான அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்யப்பட்டது.

அதன்பின் உணவு உண்ணமுடியாமல், பேசமுடியாமல் செயலற்று உடலசைவின்றி இருந்த பாமதி, பத்து நாட்களில் படிப்படியாக முன்னேறியது அதிசயமாகியது.

அந்த அதிசயம் செய்த டாக்டரின் பெயரும், ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் திருநாமமாகவே அமைந்து விட்டதால் எல்லோரும் ஆச்சர்யப்படும் விதமாக பாமதி மடமடவென மிக மோசமான நிலையிலிருந்து முன்னேற்றமடைந்து  கல்யாணத்தின்போது யாரும் எதிர்ப்பார்க்காத அதிசயமாக பல நாட்களாக மோசமான நிலையில் இருந்தவர் எழுந்து நடமாடியதோடல்லாமல், உற்சாகமாக பேசி, பாடி பந்தியிலேயே உட்கார்ந்து உணவு உண்ணும் சாதாரண நிலைக்கு ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவா அருள் ஒன்றினால் மட்டுமே தேறிவர முடிந்திருந்தது. எல்லோரும் அச்சமும் கவலையுமாக எப்படி நடக்குமோ என எண்ணிய கல்யாணம் ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாள் அருளினால் சுபமாக நடந்தது மட்டுமல்லாமல் பாமதியும் குணமடைந்து விட்டாள்.

இப்படி அபாரக் கருணாமூர்த்தியாய் நம்பினவர்களை எல்லா நிலையிலிருந்தும் காப்பாற்றும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளிடம் நம் கவலைகள் யாவையும் ஒப்படைத்து நல்கதி அடைவோமென்று திரு. கணேசன் பூர்ணமாக தன் அனுபவத்தால் உறுதியாகச் சொல்கிறார்.

இப்பேற்பட்ட பரம காருண்யத் தெய்வத்தை சரணடைந்து சகல சௌபாக்யங்களையும், சர்வ மங்களங்களையும் அடைவோமாக.

“Secret of Shri Chakram”

One of such Periyava’s devotee Shri Apayya Kuppuswami narrates this incident. This happened when he had Periyava’s darshan at Kanchipuram during 1974.

Periyava said, “Can you publish Adi Shankara’s Soundarya Lahiri in its original Sanskrit text with translations and explanation in other languages like Hindi, Tamil and English? Also can you include the procedure to be followed and yantras to be used for each of them. Since you are retired now, why don’t you do this? A similar book published by Mambalam Ganesh & Co is out of print now and is not available.”

The conversation showed Periyava’s interest as the head of Srimatam in protecting even a book that was published long time back.

“I do not have Sanskrit knowledge to do this.” Kuppuswami politely replied.

“Whatever knowledge you have is enough. There are lot of experts in Trichy and you can consult them.” Periyava replied and handed over the responsibility to Kuppuswami.

For two years, Shri Kuppuswami wrote letters to different libraries to get copies of Soundarya Lahiri in different languages and with the help of local Sanskrit Vidwans, arranged them in order along with the translations and completed the preparation of the contents.

After completing this, he went to Kanchipuram to get permission from Periyava on the various images that needs to be published in the book.

Periyava asked the pictures of Kamakshi, Meenakshi, Akhilandeswari, Lalitha Thiripurasundari, Adi Shankara and Shri Chakram to be added and also mentioned the pictures of Lalithambigai and Shri Chakram should be same as described in the Shastras. Periyava also mentioned that the Shri Chakram should be painted according to Shrividya book. Shri Kuppuswami was surprised when Periyava also mentioned the names and addresses of different people who can explain and help with the pictures.

Looking at the dedication and interest Periyava showed for the pictures that were going to be printed inside the book, Kuppuswami realized the importance of the dedication that we need to show on all the various tasks, however small it might be.

Kuppuswami said, “Periyava should not test me. I am not sure, how I will be able to manage this task and complete it.” He conveyed his thoughts to Periyava.

Periyava assured Kuppuswami and said, “Do not worry. In some days, I will ask someone to get the pictures of Lalitha, Shri Chakram. Ambal will bless you. If you have any doubts, come here.”

After returning to Trichy, Kuppuswami met Shri Radhakrishna Shastry and explained Periyava’s order and requested for help. Shastry suggested to reach out to an artist for the drawings. As promised, Periyava had sent the details of the pictures and the color combination through a Shrividya expert from Chennai. With this information, Kuppuswami and Radhakrishna Shastry went to meet the old artist.

The artist informed that it has been almost a year since he has stopped drawing. But since this was Periyava’s order, the artist informed them that he will take up this work. He also conveyed that it might take a month’s time to complete it. The model sketch could be ready in 10 days and once Periyava approves, he will proceed with the work.

After ten days, the artist had completed the picture of Thiripurasundari with Her eyes closed along with the picture of Shri Chakram as described. The artist said that he will draw the eyes of Thiripurasundari, once Periyava approves.

The next day, Kuppuswami went to Kanchipuram with the pictures. Veda Paripalana Sabha had organized a discussion among the scholars on that day at Kanchipuram. Multiple scholars will be debating on various topics. Periyava will be sitting there and asking doubts/clarification, as if He did not know them and finally will clarify all the questions and bless everyone present.

It was all Periyava’s divine play to get this discussion going on when Kuppuswami took the Shri Chakram picture. Periyava said that Thiripurasundari’s picture had come out well and blessed for the eyes to be opened. Then He started to look at the picture of Shri Chakram.

Periyava asked, “Why is the portion in between the three circles and the triangles white and not colored?” In sometime Kuppuswami realized that Periyava is starting His divine play to let others know the answer for this question.

Periyava called Thiruvaiyaru Balakrishna Shastry, Inji Kollai Jagadeesa Shastry and Shrividya Upasakar Ramakrishna Shastry, who had come there for the debate. Periyava also asked to bring some Shrividya books from the Srimatam library.

Periyava showed the picture of Shri Chakram and asked if there was a color for the space between the three circles and the 43 triangles. One of them suggested that there were no colors specified for that space, but it could be checked in Rudrayamalam. Periyava asked for that book and everyone looked at it for almost 20 minutes. After that they informed Periyava that they could not find any information in that. Periyava said, “That portion might represent the sky and so it might not have any color.”

Periyava thought for some time and continued, “When we draw in a white paper, we end up not coloring that space, so that the space is seen. All the other portions have some color. Ambal is everywhere in Shri Chakram. At other portions of the Shri Chakram, there are some Devathai, but none in this one. But in Shri Chakram, Ambal is described as “Hiranyavarnam”, so maybe we can color that space in gold.”

All the vidwans present there agreed to Periyava. For all the small things about which nobody would have thought anything, Periyava will start it with a question to kindle interest and then explain the same to everyone. A lot of scholars have experienced this personally with Periyava.

He takes care of those who trust Him

This is an incident that happened to Periyava’s devotee named Shri Ganesan. Shri Ganesan and his wife Shrimathi Shyamala lived in Appathur were regular visitors to Shri Pradosham Mama’s gruham. They wanted their relatives also to experience the same bliss and used to narrate their experience to them.

Shri Ganesan’s sister-in-law Shrimathi Bamathy and her husband Shri Ramachandran were living in Hyderabad. One and half years earlier, Shrimathi Bamathy had undergone surgery for breast cancer and was recovering. She had started walking and moving, but suddenly one day was diagnosed with brain cancer. When the treatment was in progress, she suffered from fits and lost her speech and was bed-ridden completely.

During these tough times, her daughter’s marriage had been fixed. The marriage was fixed for October 28^th at Hyderabad. With the marriage fixed and the bride’s mom being bed ridden, the entire family did not know what needs to be done. They were worried that the marriage should not be stopped due to any unfortunate events.

Shri Ganesan who had gone to attend the engagement, told them to pray to Periyava. He asked them to perform 108 coconut water abhishegam to Periyava. As discussed, on September 3^rd, the abishegam was performed at Bangaru Amman gardens. The following week, a miracle happened. A brain surgery was performed for Bamathy. The doctors who had earlier suggested that it is dangerous to perform the surgery later performed it. In ten days there were visible changes. Bamathy who was unable to talk or eat started to show lot of improvements.

It was a surprise when the doctor’s name who performed the surgery was same as Periyava’s Poorvashrama name. Also Bamathy recovered very quickly and was able to walk and eat during the marriage. With Periyava’s grace, not only did the marriage go through as planned, Bamathy also was completely cured.

Shri Ganesan narrates this incident and firmly believes that if you believe and pray to Periyava, He will save you from any kind of problem.

It is true that if we surrender at the feet of Periyava we will be blessed with health, wealth, peace and happiness.
