ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சன்னதியின் சாந்நித்யம்

மேன்மையான தவவலிமைக்கு உதாரண புருஷராக விளங்கிய சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களை நாம் தரிசிக்கும் பாக்யம் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளெனும் சங்கர திருஅவதாரத்தின் மூலமாக அடைந்துள்ளோம்.

எங்கும் நிறைந்தருளும் தெய்வமான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாள் தன்னைக் கொண்டாடி மகிழும் சன்னதியின் சாந்நித்யத்தை உலகோர் அறியும் வகையில் ஒரு பக்தைக்கு அருளியதன் மூலம் எடுத்துக் காட்டும் கருணையை பொழிந்துள்ளார்.

திருமதி. பத்மினி சந்திரசேகர் என்ற பக்தைக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் பக்தியும் ஈர்ப்பும் சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே உண்டு. ஆலமரம்போல பிரதோஷ சிவநாயன்மாரெனும் பிரதோஷம் மாமா எழும்பூரில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைக் கொண்டாடி அந்த ஈஸ்வர பக்தையின் விசேஷத்தை அனைவரும் பெற்று ஆனந்திக்க ஏதுவாய் பல வைபவங்களால் பல பக்தர்களான விழுதுகளை ஆட்கொண்டிருந்தார். அக்கம்பக்கம் என்று அனைவருக்கும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பக்தியை ஊட்டி அதன் மூலம் அவர்களது வாழ்வில் ஒளி ஏற்றிய திருப்பணியினை அந்த நாயன்மார் தன் பிறவியின் கடனாக செய்துவந்த சமயமது.

அந்த ரயில்வே காலனியில் திருமதி. பத்மினி தன் பெரியம்மா வீட்டில் வசித்தபோது இந்த பக்தி வித்திடப்பட்டது.

இப்போது பத்மினி திருமணமாகியவள். சென்ற ஆண்டில் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் காஞ்சி இல்லத்தில் குடிகொண்டருலும் ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் ஜயந்தி வைபவத்தில் பத்மினி கலந்துக் கொண்டாள். எல்லாம் முடிந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சன்னதியில் புறப்பட உத்தரவு கேட்டு நிற்பதுபோல் வணங்கியபோது பத்மினிக்கு ஒரு ஸ்புரிப்பு ஏற்பட்டது. ஏதோ அவளையறியாமல் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளுக்கு (திருக்கோயிலில் குடிகொண்டருளும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா விக்ரகம்) தங்கத்தால் கிரீடம் செய்விக்க வேண்டுமென்ற ஆவல் ஸ்புரித்தது.

சாந்நித்ய விசேஷம் பெற்ற சன்னதியின் முன் பக்தைக்கு ஸ்புரித்த எண்ணம் சக்தி வாய்ந்தல்லவா?

பக்தை தனக்குத் தோன்றிய இந்த விருப்பத்தினை பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் பேரனும், ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் கோயிலின் பொறுப்புக்களை ஏற்று செய்யும் பாக்யம் பெற்றவருமான ஸ்ரீராம் என்பவரிடம் தெரிவித்தாள். ஸ்ரீராம் இதை கேட்டுக் கொண்டாலும், தங்கத்தால் கிரீடம் செய்வதென்பது ஒரு அசாத்தியமான விஷயமாக அவருக்கு மனதில் பட்டதால் இதைப்பற்றி அவ்வளவாக உள்வாங்கிக் கொள்ளவில்லை.

இது நடந்து நான்கைந்தாண்டுகள் சென்றன. பத்மினியும் அப்போதைக்கு சன்னதியில் கூறிவிட்டாளேயன்றி அதன்பின் லௌகீகமான மற்ற கவலைகளில் இதை மறந்தவளானாள்.

சில மாதங்கள் கடந்த நிலையில் பத்மினிக்கு ஒரு சொப்பனம் கனவில் ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா தோன்றினார்.

“கிரீடம் செஞ்சி போடறதா சொன்னயே மறந்துட்டயா? உன்னாலே முடியலேன்னா சொல்லு ஸ்ரீராம் மூலமா பண்ணிக்கறேன்” என்று செய்கிறேன் என்ற வாக்களித்து மறந்துவிட்ட தங்க கிரீடத்தை நினைவுபடுத்துவதுபோல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கூறிவிட்டு மறைந்தார்.

பக்தைக்கு ஒரு புறம் இப்படி மறந்துவிட்டோமே என்ற குற்ற உணர்வு இருந்தாலும், ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளே சொப்பனத்தில் தோன்றியதால் பெரு மகிழ்ச்சி.

ஆனாலும் திருப்பணியை பக்தை ஆரம்பித்தாகவில்லை. இன்னும் மூன்றுநாள் சென்றது. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளிடம் வாக்குக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு மறந்துவிடுவதை 64-ம் நாயன்மார் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ளவாரா என்ன? அடுத்த மூன்றாம்நாள் பக்தையின் கனவில் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா தோன்றினார்.

“உனக்கு பக்தியிருக்கு சிரத்தை இல்லை” என்று எந்த பக்திக்கும் கிரீடமாக சிரத்தைதான் விளங்க வேண்டுமென்பதை கொஞ்சம் அழுத்தமாக உணர்த்துபவராய் பக்தையின் கனவில் பிரதோஷம் மாமா சுட்டிக்காட்டி மறைந்தார்.

பக்தைக்கு ஒரு வேகம் பிறக்கலாயிற்று. முதலில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா, அதற்கடுத்த மூன்றாம் நாளே நாயன்மாரும் தோன்றி தான் நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டியதை உணர்த்துவதென்றால் அது எத்தனை பெரிய பாக்யம் என்று உற்சாகமாக அப்பணியைத் துவக்கினாள்.

முதலில் காஞ்சிக்கு ஸ்ரீராமிடம் தகவலைச் சொன்னாள். பக்தையின் சொப்பன விசேஷங்களை கேட்டு ஸ்ரீராமும் மெய்சிலிர்த்துப் போனார். உடனே இந்தத் திருப்பணியை தொடங்கும் வகையில் திரு.குமார் அவர்களை பத்மினிக்கு உதவிடுமாறு கூறினார்.

பத்மினியும் மனமுவந்து தங்க கிரீடத்திற்கான தங்கத்தின் எடைக்கு, தான் அணிந்திருந்த சில நகைகளைக் கழற்றி ஒரு பெரிய நகை வியாபாரியிடம் கொடுத்து கிரீடத்தைத் தயாரிக்கும் பணியை ஒருவாறு ஆரம்பித்தாயிற்று. கிரீடம் தயாராகிக் கொண்டிருக்கட்டும், அதுவரை கிரீடத்திற்கான ஏற்பாடுகள் முப்பது வருடமுன்பே தொடங்கிய கதையைக் கேளுங்கள். இப்படி கிரீடம் செய்ய பத்மினி கொடுத்த நகைகளின் கதையில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளும், பிரதோஷம் மாமாவும் இப்போதல்ல சுமார் இருபத்தைந்து வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பே சம்பந்தப்பட்டிருக்கும் அதிசயத்தை பத்மினி சொல்கிறாள்.

அப்போது பத்மினியின் பெரியம்மாவின் பெண் அகிலா என்பவரின் கல்யாணத்திற்கு, கோயமுத்தூரிலிருந்து பத்மினியின் அப்பாவும் அம்மாவும் வந்திருந்தனர். சென்னை எழும்பூரில் பெரியம்மா குடும்பம் வசித்துவந்தபோது அருகே பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் கிரஹத்தில் எப்போதும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் வைபவங்கள் நிறைந்து அப்பகுதியே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அருளால் நிறைந்து  கொண்டிருந்தது.

பத்மினியின் பெரியம்மாவின் குடும்பத்தைப் போலவே, பத்மினியின் குடும்பத்தினரும் பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் ஆசியினைப் பெறாமல் எந்த காரியமும் செய்து பழக்கமில்லாதவராக இருந்தனர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் பூர்ண ஆசியும் மாமாவினால் எல்லோருக்கும் கிட்டியிருந்தது.

அகிலாவின் திருமணத்திற்கு வந்தவர்கள் சுமார் 40 பவுன் நகைகளை சென்னைக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து மணப்பொண்ணுக்குப் போட்டுவிட்டு ஊருக்குபோகும் போது அதைக் கொண்டு செல்ல ஆயுத்தமாயினர்.

ஒரு வாலட் போன்ற பெட்டியில் நகைகளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டனர். எப்போதும் போல எதிரே பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் கிரஹம் சென்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் திரு உருவப் படத்தை வணங்கிவிட்டு பிரதோஷம் மாமாவிடம் ஆசி பெற்றுக் கிளம்பினார்கள். பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா பத்திரமாகப் போய் விட்டுவர ஆசி கூற ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் ரட்சையையும் அட்சதையையும் அளித்தார்.

தன்னிச்சையாக அந்தப் பிரசாதகங்களை பத்மினியின் தாயார் நகைகளை வைத்திருந்த வாலட்டில் போட்டுக் கொண்டது தெய்வச் செயலே. இருவரும் கோயமுத்தூருக்கு கிளம்பியாயிற்று. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் ரட்சையும், அட்சதையும் துணையாகச் சென்றன.

அவர்கள் பயணித்த ரயில்பெட்டியில் அவர்கள் எதிர் இருக்கையில் ஒரு இருபதுவயது பையன் சகஜமாக பேசியபடி பயணித்தான். மேல் பர்த்தில் ஒரு ரயில்வே ஆபிஸர்.

ஈரோடு ஜங்ஷன் நெருங்கும்போது பத்மினியின் பெற்றோர்கள் அயர்ந்து தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். எதிர் இருக்கைப் பையன் அவசர அவசரமாக இவர்கள் உடைமையிலிருந்து எதையோ எடுத்துக் கொண்டு இறங்குவதை மேல் பர்த்தில் விழித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவர் கவனித்தார்.

கீழே இருப்பவர்கள் எல்லோரும் ஒரே குடும்பம் என்று  நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தவருக்கு அந்தப் பையன் இவர்கள் உடைமையை சுவாதீனமாக கையாண்டது வித்யாசமாக தெரியவில்லை. ஆனால் ஈரோட்டில் ரயில் நின்றபோது கிழே தம்பதியர் விழித்துக்கொண்டு எதையோ தேடுவதைப் பார்த்தவர், அந்த பையன் எதையோ எடுத்ததை சொல்ல இவர்களுக்கு பகீரென்றது. சுமார் நாற்பது பவுன் நகைகளைத் திருடிக்கொண்டு அந்தப் பையன் ஓடியுள்ளான்.

மேல் பர்த் பயணி ஒரு ரயில்வே அதிகாரியாக இருந்ததால் உடனே ரயில்வே போலீஸில் புகார் கொடுக்க ஏற்பாடு செய்யமுடிந்தது. பத்மினியின் தாயார் மட்டும் கோயமுத்தூருக்குச் செல்ல, தந்தை ஈரோட்டிலேயே நகையை மீட்கத் தங்கும்படி போலீஸ் சொல்லிவிட்டது.

பதட்டத்துடன் பத்மினியின் தாயார் கோயமுத்தூர் சென்றவள் செய்வதறியாமல் தவித்தார். அந்த மாதுவிற்கு அத்தனை நகைகள் திரும்பிவரவேண்டுமே என்ற அதிர்ச்சியும் பயமும் மேலிட்டது. உடனே ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் கண்கண்ட தெய்வத்திடம்தான் முறையிட்டாக வேண்டுமென சென்னைக்கு போன் செய்து நடந்தவைகளை சொல்லிக் கதறினாள்.

தன் அக்காவிடம் கூறி, பக்கத்திலிருக்கும் பிரதோஷம் மாமாவிடம் முறையிடும்படி வேண்டிக் கொண்டார். இங்கே பத்மினிதான் மாமாவிடம் இதுபற்றி உடனே ஓடிப்போய்ச் சொல்லி அழுதாள்.

பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் திடமனதில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் அசையாத நம்பிக்கை.

“பயப்பட வேண்டாம்……. நீ இந்த மாமரத்தின் கீழே பெரியவா இருக்கா… போய்ப் பிரதட்சணம் பண்ணின்டே இரு நகை கிடைத்திடும்………நகைப் பெட்டியிலே உன் அம்மா ஸ்ரீபெரியவா ரட்சையையும், அட்சதையையும் வைச்சிருக்கா அதை மீறி யாரும் பெட்டியைத் திறக்க முடியாது” என்று உறுதியாகக் கூறி பெரிய தெம்பை ஊட்டினார்.

பத்மினியும் தகவலை அம்மாவிடம் ஆறுதலாகத் தெரிவித்துவிட்டு, பிரதோஷ மாமா இல்லத்தின் மாமரத்தை வலம் வரத் தொடங்கினாள். சிரத்தையாக இங்கே பத்மினி பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் வாக்கினை நிறைவேற்ற தினமும் வந்து மாமரத்தை வலம்வர அங்கே ஈரோட்டில் அந்த அதிசயம் நடைபெற்றது.

நகைப்பெட்டியை எடுத்துச் சென்ற 18 வயது பையன் அசல் திருடனல்ல. ஏதோ நகைகளைப் பார்த்ததில் சபலம் கொண்டு பின் விளைவுகளை யோசிக்காமல் எடுத்துச் சென்று விட்டான். ஒரு நர்ஸின் பையனான அவன் பெட்டியை வீட்டில் வைத்து அதை எப்படி திறப்பது என்று கூடத் தெரியாமல் முழித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.

இதைப்பார்த்த அம்மா சந்தேகப்பட்டவளாய் யாருடையது இந்தப் பெட்டி என்று கேட்க தன் நண்பனுடைய பெட்டி என்று இவன் மழுப்பலாக சொல்லியிருக்கிறான். பெட்டியைத் திறந்து நகைகளை எடுக்க முடியாமல் தவித்துக் கொண்டிருக்க அவன் தாயாரே சந்தேகப்பட்டு இதை போலீஸில் சொல்லிவிட்டாள். ஏதோ அறியாமல் செய்துவிட்டேன் என்று அந்த பையன் வருந்தியபடி போலீஸில் நகைகளை ஒப்படைத்துவிட்டான்.

அதுவரை ஈரோட்டிலேயே இருந்த பத்மினியின் தந்தையிடம் நகைகளின் அடையாளங்களை சொல்லச் சொல்லி போலீஸார் ஒப்படைத்தனர். பாவம்; அறியாமல் செய்த பையனை விட்டுவிடும்படியும் புகாரை வாபஸ் பெற்று நிம்மதியடைந்தார். பத்மினியின் தந்தை பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் திருவாக்கின்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா ரட்சையிருந்த பெட்டி திறக்கக் கூட முடியாமல் மீண்டுவிட்டது.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் பூர்ண அருளால் காப்பாற்றிப் பெறப்பட்ட அந்த நாற்பது பவுன் நகைகளின் ஒரு பகுதியை பத்மினிக்கும் மற்றதை பத்மினியின் சகோதரிக்குமாய்ப் பெற்றோர்கள் கொடுத்திருந்தனர்.

அப்படி ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அருளால் மீட்கப்பட்ட நகைகளின் ஒரு பகுதியை பத்மினி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளால் ஸ்புரிக்கச் செய்து சொப்பனத்தில் ஞாபகப்படுத்திய தங்க கிரீடத்திற்காகக் கொடுத்திருந்தாள்.

இப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கான கிரீடம் அதிசயதக்க வகையில் காஞ்சியில் இவ்வருட பிரதோஷ நாயன்மாரின் ஐப்பசி ரேவதி நட்சத்திர ஜயந்தியன்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்கலாமென ஸ்ரீராம் ஆவல் கொண்டார். மாமாவின் ஜயந்திக்கு முதல்நாள் குமார் என்ற அன்பர் நகை வியாபாரியிடம் கிரீட வேலையை துரிதப்படுத்தி வாங்கிவரக் கிளம்பினார். அப்படிக் கிளம்பியவரை ஸ்ரீராம் ஏனோ இப்போது வேண்டாமென்று நிறுத்திவிட்டார்.

ஸ்ரீராம் நினைத்தது போலவே கிரீடவேலை பூர்த்தியாகமல் இருந்ததோடல்லாமல், அதற்கான மீத பாக்கிப் பணம் பத்மினி கொடுக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது. பிரதோஷ மாமா ஜயந்தியன்று அப்பணத்தைக்கட்டி பத்மினியால் வாங்க இயலவில்லை. மீதம் கட்டவேண்டிய லட்சத்து சொச்ச ரூபாய்களுக்காக பேங்க் லாக்கரிலிருந்து மீதி தங்கக்காசு, சிறு நகைகளையும் எடுக்கலாமென்று எண்ணி லாக்கர் சாவியைத் தேட அது கிடைக்கவில்லை. எங்கெங்கு தேடியும் கிடைக்காமல் போக மீதி பணத்தைக் கட்ட வழி தெரியவில்லை.

பத்மினி திரும்பவும் இதற்கும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா படத்தின் முன் வேண்டி வணங்கினாள். அப்படி பக்தை வேண்டி மண்டியிட்டபோது, அதிசயமாக பத்மினியின் மாங்கல்யம் கோர்க்கப்பட்ட தங்க கொடி நகை சடாலென்று வெளியே வந்து விளக்கின்மேல் பட்டது. பத்மினிக்கு எதையோ ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உணர்த்துவதாகத் தோன்றியது. உடனே சற்றும் யோசிக்காமல் அந்த தங்கக் கொடியை கழற்றி திருமாங்கல்யத்தை மஞ்சள் கயிற்றில் தரித்து அதை தங்கமாக உருக்கி வியாபாரியிடம் மீதி தொகைக்காக எடுத்துச் சென்றாள்.

அதே சமயம் இனி தாமதிக்காமல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கு கிரீடத்தை சமர்ப்பிக்க ஸ்ரீராம் சொன்னதன் போரில் குமாரும் அந்த வியாபாரியிடம் வர, பத்மினி கொண்டுவந்த தாலிக்கொடி தங்கம் சரியாக மீதி பணத்துக்குப் பூர்த்தி செய்வதாக அமைந்த அதிசயம் நடந்துள்ளது. மேலும் 25 வருடத்திற்குமுன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் அருளால் மீண்ட நகைகளின் மிச்சமான தாலிக்கொடியும் இருந்ததால் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளே விரும்பி இதைப் பெற்று பக்தைக்கு பூர்ண அனுக்ரஹம் பொழிந்துருப்பது தெரிகிறது.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் சாந்நித்யம் பெற்ற இந்த ஆபூர்வ சன்னதியில் வீற்றிருக்கும் பெரியவாளுக்கு கிரீடம் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட தினம் பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் தர்ம பத்தினியின் ஜன்ம நட்சத்திரமாக அமைந்ததும் ஒரு விசேஷம். இப்பேற்பட்ட அதிசயங்களைக் காட்டி ஆட்கொள்ளும் பரமதயாளரான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவா சரணடையும் அனைத்து பக்தர்களுக்கும் சர்வ மங்களங்களையும் அருள்வார் என்பது சத்தியம்!

“Sanctity of Periyava’s Sannidhi”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

Periyava who is omnipresent has also shown the power and purity of His Sannidhi through a devotee. Shrimathi Padmini Chandrasekhar was a Periyava devotee from her early childhood. Pradosham Mama has conducted a lot of special events on Periyava and like a huge banyan tree embraced a lot of people to become Periyava’s devotees. He has performed the most sacred act of feeding people with Periyava Bhakti and illuminating their lives. Padmini was also one of that devotee, who was blessed this way. This happened when she was visiting her aunt at the Railway colony where Pradosham Mama lived.

Now Padmini is married. The previous year, she participated in the Periyava Jayanthi at Pradosham Mama’s house at Kanchipuram. After the function was over, as she was standing at the Periyava Sannidhi at Mama’s house, a thought suddenly struck her. She wanted to get a gold crown (Kireedam) for the Periyava residing at the temple. Is it not a powerful thought that comes in a pure Sannidhi?

She informed about her wish to Pradosham Mama’s grandson Shriram, who was also responsible for the Periyava temple. Even though Shriram heard her wish, since it was not an easy task, he did not follow-up or proceed in this matter.

Four or five years passed after this incident. Even though Padmini informed her wish, she forgot all about it among all the day to day activities. After few months, Padmini had a dream. Periyava came in her dreams and asked, “You said about getting a gold crown. Did you forget about that? Tell me if you will not be able to do it and I will ask Shriram to do it.” Periyava reminded her about it and then disappeared. Even though she was feeling guilty for not doing it, she was also happy to see Periyava in her dreams.

But three days passed and she did not start the work yet. Will Pradosham Mama not do anything if something happened like this? On the third day, Pradosham Mama came in Padmini’s dreams and said, “You have a lot of bhakti but no dedication.” Pradosham Mama indicated in a strong manner that dedication is the crown for any bhakti and then disappeared.

Padmini got into action quickly. She quickly understood the importance of the task as both Periyava and Pradosham Mama had come in her dreams back to back emphasizing the importance of it. She felt it an honor to get this completed.

She informed Kanchipuram Shriram about her dreams and requested for his help on this matter. Shriram was amazed on hearing about the back to back dreams and asked her to contact Shri Kumar to help her.

Padmini gave the gold jewelry she had equivalent to the weight required for making the crown to a reputed jewelry store and the work started. But actually the work did not start now. It had started almost thirty years back. The jewels that Padmini had given had connections with both Periyava and Pradosham Mama almost 25 years before.

Padmini’s parents had come to Chennai to Padmini’s aunt’s house from Coimbatore. It was for the marriage of Akila, who was the aunt’s daughter. The entire neighborhood of the aunt’s house was filled with Periyava’s divinity due to Pradosham Mama’s presence and grace. Even Padmini’s parents were bound by that grace and always requested permission for all their tasks.

When they were coming to Chennai for Akila’s marriage, they were planning to bring about 40 pound sovereign (40 pawan) gold for the marriage and then take them back. They kept everything in a vault box. Before starting they went to Pradosham Mama’s house to seek blessings of both Periyava and Mama. Pradosham Mama blessed them for a safe travel and gave them prasadam (Atchathai and Rakshai). By chance Padmini’s mother kept it along with the jewels and they started to Coimbatore. In the train compartment, there was a twenty year old boy who was travelling and the upper berth was occupied by a railway officer.

When the train reached Erode junction, Padmini’s parents were sleeping. The railway officer in the upper berth saw the twenty year old boy pulling out something from the family’s luggage hurriedly and got down from the train. Since the boy was talking to them previously, the officer assumed they were all one family and did not ask anything. But Padmini’s parents woke up in sometime and realized that their jewels are missing.

The railway officer in the upper berth helped them file a police complaint immediately. Padmini’s mother left for Coimbatore in the train, but her father had to stay back until the investigation was over. The mother on reaching Coimbatore did not know what to do. She decided to pray to Periyava and then called Chennai and told them everything that happened. She also asked her sister (Padmini’s aunt) to inform Pradosham Mama about this. Padmini who was still at her aunt’s place went to Pradosham Mama’s house crying and told everything that happened.

Pradosham Mama, for whom Periyava was everything, asked her to circumambulate Periyava sitting under the Mango tree. He also said that since the prasadam was kept along with the jewels, nobody will be able to even open the box.

Padmini informed her mother about this and then started to circumambulate the Mango tree. As Padmini went around the Mango tree daily a miracle unfolded at Erode. The person who took the jewels was not a thief. He was the son of a nurse and knowing about the jewels was tempted to steal it. He had the box in his house but was unable to open it.

His mother started suspecting and asked him about that box. He said that the box belonged to a friend and they were unable to open it. His mother who was still suspicious informed about the box to police. The boy informed the police that he took the box in a different state of mind and returned it as it is.

Padmini’s father gave the description of the box and the jewels and received it from police. He also took back the complaint and requested the boy to be left free. The boy was unable to open the box like how Pradosham Mama had told Padmini.

The jewels that were returned by the grace of Periyava was split by her parents and half was given to Padmini and the remaining half was given to her sister. It was a portion of these jewels that Padmini had given it to the jewelers for making Periyava’s crown.

As the crown was getting ready, Shriram had a wish to offer the crown on Pradosham Mama’s Jayanthi (Revathy occurring during the month of Iyappasi). So Kumar decided to go and check if the crown was ready one day before the Jayanthi. But for some reason, Shriram asked Kumar not to go.

Just like how Shriram had imagined, the crown was not ready. Also the remaining amount on the crown was due and not paid by Padmini. She was unable to pay the remaining balance and get the crown on Jayanthi day. For the remaining due amount of about one lakh rupees, she decided to get her other jewels from the locker. But the locker key was lost and they were unable to find it anywhere.

Padmini prayed to Periyava as she did not know what to do. As she was praying the gold chain which had her mangalyam fell down on the lamp. Padmini realized that it was a message from Periyava. She quickly changed her mangalyam to a thread (coated with turmeric) and then took the chain to pay for the crown.

When she reached the jewelry shop, Kumar also had come there on Shriram’s advice. It was a surprise for everyone when the chain was correctly valued to be the same amount that Padmini owed the Jewelers. Also this chain was also part of the jewelry that was lost at Erode 25 years ago. They realized that Periyava had beautifully accepted all those jewels and blessed the family.

The day the crown was offered to Periyava turned out to be the nakshatram of Pradosham Mama’s wife.  It is true that if we surrender at the feet of Periyava we will be blessed with health, wealth, peace and happiness.
