ஸ்ரீரமணரும் நானே!

மேன்மையில் சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் தவ வலிமையோடு திகழ்ந்தும் பரமேஸ்வரரின் பெருங்கருணையே உருவெடுத்து திருஅவதாரமாய் இப்புவியில் தோன்றியுள்ளதால் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மகாபெரியவாளின் எளிமை அதைவிட மேன்மை பெற்றதாய் உலகெங்கும் அனுக்ரஹ மழையாய்ப் பொழிந்துள்ளது.

மாதுஸ்ரீ சீதம்மா என்ற ஆந்திர தேசத்து தெனாலி என்ற ஊரைச் சேர்ந்த பக்தை ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளிடம் அபரிதமான பக்தி கொண்டவர். மிக ஆசாரமானவள். ஸ்ரீ மடத்திற்கு அதிகமாக திரவிய கைங்கர்யங்களை செய்தவர். எப்போதும் ஸ்ரீ மகாபெரியவா சன்னதியில் ஒரு ஓரமாக நின்று தரிசனம் செய்வார்.

இவர் தன் கணவருடன் வாழ்ந்தபோது இருவரும் அடிக்கடி திருவண்ணாமலையிலுள்ள ரமணாச்ரமம் சென்று ஸ்ரீரமணரைத் தரிசித்து வருவது வழக்கம். இருவரும் ஸ்ரீ ரமணரின் பக்தர்கள்.

1938இல் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா நெல்லூருக்கு விஜயம் செய்தபோது சீதம்மாவின் கணவர் பாபு, ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைப் பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டு தரிசிக்க வந்தார். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தம்பதியினருக்கு அனுக்ரஹம் செய்தார். பின் இருவரும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் பக்தி கொண்டவர்களாயினர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இவர்களின் இல்லத்திற்கு விஜயம் செய்து, தம்பதிகளை அவர்தம் திருப்பாதுகைக்கு ஆராதனை செய்ய அனுக்ரஹித்துள்ளார்.

ஒருமுறை பாபு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க காஞ்சி வந்த போது பாபுவிற்கு கடுமையான ஜூரம். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அவரிடம் ஆதிசங்கரரின் திருஉருவப்படம் ஒன்றினைக் கொடுத்து பின்புறமாகவே நடந்து செல்லும்படியாக புதுமையானக் கட்டளையைப் பிறப்பித்தார். இவரும் அந்த கடும் ஜூரத்தோடு ஆதிசங்கரை ஏந்தி பின்புறமாகவே ஒரு தூரம் நடந்தார். மிக அதிசயமாக மருந்து எதுவும் சாப்பிடாமலேயே ஜூரம் பறந்துவிட்டதாம்.

மாதுஸ்ரீ சீதம்மா கனவில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தோன்றுவதுண்டு. அப்படி ஒருமுறை தோன்றிய ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தானும் ஸ்ரீரமணரும் ஒன்றே என்று பக்தையிடம் கூறியுள்ளார்.

இதை மெய்ப்பிப்பதுபோல் ஒரு அதிசய அனுபவத்தை மாதுஸ்ரீ சீதம்மா பெறலானார். ஒருநாள் பக்தையின் கனவில் பக்தை ஒரு கோயிலின் உள்ளே இருப்பது போலவும், கர்ப்பகிருஹத்தில் ஸ்ரீ ரமணர் நின்றுக்கொண்டிருப்பது போலவும், அப்போது ஸ்ரீ ரமணர் முகம் முழுவதும் பெரிய அம்மை கண்டிருப்பது போலவும் தோன்றியது.

கண்விழித்ததும் பக்தைக்கு பயம் ஏற்பட்டது. இதற்கு என்ன அர்த்தம் என யோசிக்கத் தொடங்கினார். அப்போது ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா செம்பன்குடி என்ற கிராமத்தில் முகாமிட்டிருந்தார்.

இப்படிப்பட்ட கனவின் காரணமென்ன என்பதை ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் முறையிட்டு அறியலாமென சீதம்மா அங்கு விரைந்தாள். பக்தை போனபோது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க யாரையும் அனுமதிக்கவில்லை. ஸ்ரீமஹாபெரியவாளுக்கு ஜூரம் இருப்பதாகவும், அத்துடன் பெரியம்மை கண்டிருப்பதாகவும் தகவல் தெரிந்தபோது பக்தைக்கு ஒரு பெரிய தெய்வ ரகசியம் அறிந்த ஆச்சர்யம் ஏற்பட்டது.

முன் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா தன கனவில் வந்து தானும் ஸ்ரீரமணரும் ஓன்றே என்று சொன்னது உண்மையாக்கிக் காட்டவே மறுபடியும் இப்படி ஒரு கனவு வந்திருப்பதாக பக்தைக்குப் புரிந்தது.

இவர் கணவர் பாபு பாடல்களை இயற்றுவதில் திறமை மிக்கவர். ஸ்ரீரமணரைப் போற்றி பாடல்களை இயற்றி அவைகளை அச்சிட விரும்பினர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் இதைப்பற்றிக் கேட்டபோது நேரம் வரும்போது முயற்சியில்லாமலேயே அவைகள் அச்சாகும் என்று கூறி அனுப்பினார்.

பின் ஸ்ரீரமணர் மறைந்தபோது பாபு மிகவும் வேதனையடைந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்கச் சென்றார். அப்போது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தந்த ஆறுதல் மொழியில் பல தத்துவங்கள் அடங்கியிருந்தன.

“கவலைப்படாதே நீ ஸ்ரீரமணரைப் பாடிக் கொண்டே இரு. பின்னால் தொடர்ந்து வருபவைகள் உண்மையில் நடப்பவைகள் அல்ல. அதுபோல மறைபவை எவையும் மறந்து விடுவதுமில்லை” என்று ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் திருவாக்கு இவரை சமாதானம் செய்தது.

ஒருமுறை பாபு கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றபோது அங்கிருந்த ஒரு சிலையைப் பார்த்து அது நந்திகேஸ்வரர் என நினைத்தவராய் 100 சிதறு தேங்காய் உடைப்பதாக நேர்ந்துக் கொண்டாராம். பிறகு ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளைத் தரிசித்தபோது இதை முறையிட ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த சிலை நந்திகேஸ்வரர் இல்லை என்றும் ஸ்ரீ கணேஸ்வரன் என்றும் சொன்னார்கள்.

மேலும் நந்திகேஸ்வரருக்கு தனி சன்னதி மைலாப்பூர் கபாலீஸ்வரர் கோயில்தான் உண்டு என்றும், அந்த சன்னதியை வருடம் ஒருமுறை பங்குனிமாதம் பௌர்ணமி அன்று தான் திறப்பார்களென்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னார்.

“ஆகவே நந்திகேஸ்வரருக்கு நேர்ந்துக் கொண்டதை நிறைவேற்றுவது கொஞ்சம் கடினம்தான். ஒன்று செய். 100 தேங்காய்களையும் வாங்கிவந்து என் முன் உடைச்சுடு என்று ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா இவரிடம் கூறியதை வேடிக்கையாக பாபு எடுத்துக் கொள்ளவில்லை. பரப்பிரம்ம சொரூபராக ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா அனுக்ரஹிப்பதை இப்படியெல்லாம் தானே வெளிப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளும் ஆர்வம் நிகழ்ந்துவிடுவதை உணர்ந்தவராக பாபு அந்த நடமாடும் தெய்வத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்.

தெலுங்கு தெரிந்த சந்யாசியா?

தாடேபள்ளி ராகவநாராயண சாஸ்திரி என்பவரின் அனுபவம் இது. அவர் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா தெனாலி விஜயம் செய்தபோது போய் தரிசித்தார். சாஸ்திரிகளின் தகப்பனார் தெலுங்கில் ராமாயணம் இயற்றியதைப் பற்றி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் கேட்டபோது இவருக்கு அது எப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறது என்று அதிசயமாக இருந்தது.

தந்தை இயற்றிய ராமாயணத்திலிருந்து சில பாடல்களை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இவரிடம் பாடச் சொல்லிக் கேட்டார். சாஸ்திரிகளும் சில பதியங்களைப் பாடினார். அதை மூன்று முறை திரும்பப் பாடச் சொல்லி கேட்டார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

பின் “நான் சமஸ்கிருதம் போன்ற பலமொழிகளில் சுமார் 80 ராமாயண புஸ்தகங்களை பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் ஒவ்வொரு விதமான காவ்ய விசேஷம், இனிமை ஆகியவை உள்ளன” என்று சிலாகித்துவிட்டு, “உங்கள் தகப்பனார் இயற்றிய ராமாயணத்தின் ஒரு பிரதியை எனக்குக் கொண்டுவந்து கொடுங்கள்” என்றார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளுக்குத் தெலுங்கு எங்கே தெரியப்போகிறது என்று எண்ணிய சாஸ்திரிகள் “அதை வைத்துக் கொண்டு என்ன செய்யப்போகிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டுவிட்டார்.

எல்லாமுமறிந்த மேன்மையான தெய்வம் அதற்கும் பவ்யமாக “எனக்கு தெலுங்கு படிக்கத் தெரியுமா தெரியாதான்னு யோசனை செய்ய வேண்டாம், இங்கே ராமாயணத்தை வைச்சுட்டுபோ. நான் தினமும் ஏதாவது இரண்டு புஷ்பங்களையாவது போட்டுட்டு போறேன்” என்றார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

இது நடந்து பல வருடங்கள் ஓடின.

பின் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை செகந்திராபாத் நகரில் பல வருடங்கள் கழிந்து சாஸ்திரிகள் தரிசிக்க போனபோது ஒரு அதிசயம் நிகழ்ந்தது.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா சாஸ்திரிகளின் தந்தை அந்த ராமாயணத்திலிருந்து விரும்பி அடிக்கடி பாடும் ஒரு சுலோகத்தை அவர் தந்தை பாடிய அதே ராகத்தில் அவர் தந்தையின் குரலிலேயே பாடிக் காண்பித்தபோது சாஸ்திரிகளுக்கு மெய்சிலிர்ப்பு உண்டாயிற்று.

“என் தந்தையை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பார்த்ததில்லை. அவர் இறந்துபோய் பல ஆண்டுகளாகின்றன. அவர் இஷ்டப்பட்டு பக்தியுடன் பாடி வந்த இந்தப் பாட்டு மட்டும் எப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளால் அப்படியே அந்த ராகத்தில் பாட முடிந்தது” என்று அதிர்ச்சியும் ஆச்சர்யமுமாக ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளை நோக்கினார்.

தெலுங்கு என்ற பாஷை தெரியுமோ என்று சந்தேகப்பட்ட சாஸ்திரிகளுக்கு இப்போது ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா சர்வக்ஞனாக உணரமுடிந்ததில் அந்த ஸ்ரீராமசந்திரமூர்த்தியே எதிரில் தரிசனம் தந்து கொண்டிருப்பதாகவும் தோன்றியிருக்கலாம்.

சங்கடம் நீக்க சடுதியில் வந்திடும் சங்கரர்

சித்தமல்லி சீனிவாசன் என்பவர் தனக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருளியதை விவரிக்கிறார்.

1972 வருடம் ஜீன் மாதம் அவர் பெண்ணிற்கு விவாகம் நடந்தது. ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா கல்யாணத்தை நாலு நாட்கள் சாஸ்திர முறைப்படி ஓளபாஸனம் செய்யும்படி உத்தரவிட்டதால் அதன்படியே செய்து முடித்தார். மடத்திலிருந்து பிரசாதங்கள் வழக்கம்போல் வந்து விவாகம் நன்றாக நடந்தது.

கல்யாணத்திற்கு முதல்நாள் நிச்சயதார்த்தம். மாப்பிள்ளை ஜானவாசம் முடிந்து அழைத்துவரப்பட்டு நிச்சயதார்த்தத்திற்கு ஏற்பாடுகள் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தன. எல்லோரும் காத்திருக்க சாஸ்திரிகள் கல்யாணப் பத்திரிக்கை, புடவை மற்றும் சீர் வகையறாக்களை கொண்டுவரச் சொன்னார்.

சீனிவாசன் அவைகளை எடுக்க பீரோவை நோக்கி ஓடினார். பீரோவில் அவைகளை வைத்து பூட்டிவிட்டு சாவியை வைத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். இப்போது அதை திறக்க சாவியைத் தேட சாவி காணவில்லை. கையில் ஜாக்கிரதையாக வைத்திருந்த சாவியைக் காணவில்லை. அதற்கு மற்றொரு சாவியும் கிடையாது என்று மற்றவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள்.

அந்த சமயத்தில் என்ன செய்வதென்று புரியவில்லை. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளை மனதில் தியானம் செய்துக் கொண்டார்.  எல்லாம் தயார்  நிலையிலிருக்க அவசரமாக தேவையான மங்களப் பொருள்களை எடுக்காமல் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்? ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளே சட்டென ஒரு வழிகாட்ட மாட்டீர்களா என்று மனமுருக வேண்டுவதேயின்றி மற்றேதும் தெரியவில்லை.

அப்போதுதான் ஒரு அதிசயம் நடந்தது. யாரோ முன்பின் தெரியாத ஒரு ஐந்து வயது பையன் ஓடி வந்தான்.

“என்ன மாமா தேடறீங்க?“ என்று கேட்டான்.

“பீரோ சாவி” என்றார்.

“இந்தாங்கோ” என்று பால் வடியும் முகத்தில் ஒரு தெய்வீகப் புன்னைகையோடு அவன் கொடுத்துவிட்டு ஓடிவிட்டான். அந்த அவசரத்தில் சாவி கிடைத்த மகிழ்ச்சியில் நிச்சயதார்த்த சாமான்களை எடுத்து வைபவத்தை முடிப்பதில்தான் இவர் முனைப்பு இருந்தது.

பீரோவைத் திறந்து பொருள்களை எடுத்தவுடன் அந்த பையன் எங்கே என்று இவர் தேட அவனை சுற்றிலும் எங்குமே காண முடியவில்லை. நெடுக தேடியும் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை. யாரைக் கேட்டாலும் தெரியவில்லை.

சங்கடம் போக்க சடுதியில் வந்த பாலகன் சாட்சாத் சங்கரரான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளே என்று சீனிவாசனக்கு நிச்சயமாக உறுதிப்பட்டது.

இப்படி இடர்களைப் போக்கி என்றென்றும் எல்லோருக்கும் சகல சந்தோஷங்களையும், சர்வ மங்களங்களையும் அள்ளித்தரக் காத்திருக்கும் கண்கண்ட தெய்வமான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளை பற்றிக் கொண்டு நலமடைவோமாக!

Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyavaal Mahimai (15-11-2012)

“I am Shree Ramana”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

Madhushree Seethamma was an ardent devotee of Periyava. She hails from the town of Tenali in Andhra Pradesh. She followed all the aacharams religiously. She used to donate a lot of liquid items like oil to Srimatam. Whenever she went to Srimatam, she used to stand in a corner and have darshan of Periyava.

She also used to visit Ramanashramam at Thiruvannamalai regularly. She and her husband were devotees of Shri Ramana Maharishi.

In 1938, when Periyava was visiting Nellore, both Seethamma and her husband Babu went for Periyava’s darshan. After that darshan, they became devotees of Periyava. Periyava has also blessed them by visiting their house and allowing them to do Padha Pooja.

Once when Babu had come to Kanchi for Periyava’s darshan, he was suffering from high fever. Periyava gave him a picture of Adi Shankara and strangely asked him to walk backwards. Babu followed Periyava’s order and walked backwards holding the picture of Adi Shankara. Miraculously Babu’s fever subsided without any medicines.

Periyava has appeared in Seethamma’s dream multiple times. Through those dreams, He had let her know that Shri Ramanar and Periyava are one. Madhushree Seethamma had experienced an incident that proved this. In one of the dreams, Seethamma found herself in a temple. She sees Shree Ramanar standing in the Karpagruham (Sanctum) of the temple. It looked as if Shri Ramanar’s face was covered with chicken pox. She was afraid when she woke up. She did not know what that dream was supposed to be. During that time, Periyava was camping at a village called Chembangudi.

Seethamma went to have darshan of Periyava to find the meaning of her dream. When she reached the camp, she found that Periyava was not giving darshan to anyone. On enquiring, she found out that Periyava had fever and Chicken pox and so darshan was not possible. The devotee understood the divine secret on that day. She understood that the current dream had occurred to make her understand her previous dream where she came to know that Periyava and Ramanar were one.

Babu had special talent in writing poems. He wanted to write a poem on Shri Ramanar and publish it. When he asked Periyava about this, He blessed and said everything will happen on the correct time and automatically the book will be published.

When Shree Ramanar attained Siddhi, Babu was very sad. He went to have Periyava’s darshan. All the consoling words that Periyava had said during that time had very deep meanings.

“Do not worry, keep singing about Shree Ramanar. All the things that follow you are not true and all the things that disappeared do not go away completely.” These words from Periyava consoled Babu.

Once when Babu had visited a temple, he saw a statue there and decided to offer to break hundred coconuts (Sidharu thengai) thinking that it was Nandheekeswarar (Nandhi). When he informed this, Periyava said that the statue was Ganesha and not Nandhi. Periyava also said that Nandhi has a separate sanctum only at Mylapore Kapaleeswarar temple and it is opened only once a year during the Purnima occurring during Panguni month.

“It is difficult to complete your prayer for offering 100 coconuts to Nandhi, so maybe you can offer that to me.” Babu took it seriously and also felt happy that Periyava had blessed him by showing His parabrahma swaroopam.

A Sanyasi who knew Telugu

This is an experience narrated by Tadepalli Ragavanarayana Shastry. He had gone for Periyava’s darshan at Tenali. He was surprised when Periyava enquired about his father’s writing Ramayana in telugu. He was wondering how Periyava knew about it.

Periyava asked him to sing some stanzas from that Ramayana. When Shastry sang few stanzas, Periyava asked him to sing the stanzas thrice and enjoyed hearing it. Periyava said, “I have read the Ramayana in almost 80 different languages including Sanskrit and each one has its own specialty and is sweet. Can you get me a copy of the Ramayana written by your father?”

Shastry assumed that Periyava did not know Telugu and asked, “What will you do with those copies?”

Periyava with utmost humility replied, “Do not think if I know Telugu or not. I will at least put few flowers for the book.”

After many years, once Periyava was camping at Secundrabad and Shastry had come for darshan. Periyava sang a stanza from the Ramayana that was one of the favorite of Shastry’s father and in the same raga that his father used to sing. It was as if Shastry’s father was singing it. Shastry was surprised to hear it. He was wondering how Periyava could sing his father’s favorite stanza in the same raga.

Shastry who had assumed Periyava did not know Telugu few years back, now knew that He was Sarvangyan and saw him as Lord Rama.

Shankara who resolves our problem

This in an incident experienced by Sithamalli Srinivasan. His daughter was married in the year 1972. As per Periyava’s advice he had conducted the marriage for four days according to the Shastras. The marriage went well and prasadam had come from Srimatam.

It was a day before the marriage and the engagement was scheduled for that day. The groom had come back from Janavasam and arrangements were being made for engagement. As everybody were waiting, the marriage Shastrigal had asked to get the sarees, invitation and other things for the engagement.

Srinivasan went to get all those things from the bero (closed shelf). He had locked all the things and also had the key to it. He searched for the keys everywhere, but was unable to find it. He had kept the keys safe to himself, but they were missing now. The other people informed him that there was no second pair of keys available.

He did not know what to do other than praying to Periyava. As everything was ready, he was thinking why there is a problem coming up. He closed his eyes and prayed to Periyava. The miracle happened at that time. A five year old boy came and asked what he was searching. He replied saying that he is searching for the keys.

The boy gave the keys and ran away.  Srinivasan become busy in getting the required things for the engagement and forgot all about that boy. After he took out all the stuff, he started looking for the boy. The boy was not to be found anywhere. He also enquired few people if they have seen the boy, but got only negative response.

Srinivasan was convinced that it was Periyava who had come in the form of boy to help him.

Just like how Periyava blessed the devotee with His kindness, let us all pray to Him to grant us health, happiness and peace.

Grace will continues to grow.
