With very heavy heart I share the news, which I just received that our beloved jagadguru HH Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal attained siddhi this morning.
I really don’t know what to write – it is a huge loss to our humanity. He has been the pradhaana sishya of Mahaperiyava and till He had His last breathe, He stood and will still stand as the one and only greatest example for unflinching guru-bakthi.
Although we should not feel sad, it is hard to control emotions. We will always miss His child-like smile and the avyaaja karunai to all of us.

I was told that this was the last event He attended (last night).

Feeling very sad. Tears poured out of my eyes when today morning I heard the news of HH Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal attaining Siddhi. I wish to speak my mind now, may be the minds of thousands of his ardent devotees living in this earth. Am not calling myself an ardent devotee of HH Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. At the same time, needless to mention being a Senior Pontiff, every Hindu across the globe, should give him the due respects. As all of us know though being a Saint and also holding the VERY VERY HIGHLY ESTEEMED Peetathibadhi position at Sankara Mutt, Swamigal was a bit interested in Social Welfare activities. It may not be out of place to state here that this particular quality of his has been mis-used, exploited, exaggerated, mis-construed AND totally mis-handled to a very large extent. All Hindus across the globe should feel ashamed of this and also realise that a big blunder has been committed. I personally feel guilty of being handicapped and helpless and could do nothing about the issue.At this point of time of his Siddhi, while paying my Namasakarams I also pay my apologies for being a silent spectator of issues which had happened in the past.
I PRAY HH Sri Mahaperiyavaa to bless this SOUL to get united with the PARAMATHMA.

Would be great if Kanchi mutt could guide the devotees on dos and don’t in the next few days;whether we should do nityapuja as usual or not,whether we all should have snan after Brindavana pravesam..
We should follow 100% of Periyava’s teachings.That is the real tribute

Only day before yesterday Pudhu Periyava came in my dream and said few words in line with “dont suspect whether i exist or not (vaguely remember the exact sentences) and also he specifically called out my name after saying those earlier sentences. Also, he asked me to extend the fasting on saturday and it is “Vishesham” to do the fasting on saturday.
Both me and my wife are from different religion. I am a silent listener in this blog and i dont follow many customs other than lighting the daily lamp in the pooja room.
I dont know what to say, My wife do fasting on Friday and but not me. I am not able to interpretate the things periyava has said just before his siddhi.
Kindly help.

Am a vaishnavite. But I admired Him for his guts to modernize, humanize our thinking. Unfortunately he could not move forward with his ideas thanks to the traditionalists.
A great loss for the community. He was a Champion of the cause of the poor and with his initiative spread the message of Hinduism, Bhakti, Seva, compassion for the have-nots and spirituality through the Jan Kalyan Movement. A much-maligned Acharya, He carried on his Mission,undaunted and unmindful of the criticisms and brickbats and even the ‘imprisonment’.The best Homage that we can pay is to spread the Message of Service to Humanity that He preached and adhere to the tenets of our Sanathana Dharma!
