  3. I too need a copy

  4. Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara! Shri Gurubhyo Namaha!

  5. I am not able to download the Calendar. The Tab comes but does not open.

  6. Mahans are omnipresent and omniscient. When we think of Mahans, intensely, they come to us even though we do not understand.Only staunch devotees can perceive their presence. This has been demonstrated both by Mahaperiyava and Shirdi Sai Baba on various occasions reported . It is only our deep devotion and perception will prove the Mahan lives in all his pictures also.. If we treat it as a piece of paper, that will remain only as paper without significance.

  7. Are the complete verses of the slokas given in punyakoti manjari file available?

    • Yes it is available with me. I need to scan it and will send it to you, if you are interested..

      • Thank you. You may share the same with this blog-owner, so he can share it with all of us here.

      • Today being Guru Pournami, can Punya Shloka Manjari be scanned and posted in this blog by Mahesh? It will also be useful for people who live outside India.

      • i have sent the scanned copy of the Punyashloka manjari to Mr Mahesh and Mr Sai Srinivasan. Hope they will publish in this site soon enough.

  8. HARA HARA SANKARA! JAYA JAYA SANKARA!!

I totally endorse the view. Even from my childhood I avoided buying LAKSHMI VEDI (a brand of crackers) for the fear on bursting the pieces of pictures of Lakshmi would be scattered on the streets, which would be trampled upon by all the passerby.

  9. Very Disappointing that I the calendar does not have Anusham dates marked ,please

    Thanks

  10. The calendar covering the Hindu Sauramana year is good. The big size is also good, with the other details.
But the pictures of Acharyas should be used with care. What do we do with the calendar after the month or the year? Do we preserve them? How? How long? Is it proper to throw the pictures of the Acharyas to the dust bin or along with waste paper?
This is a problem we face with calendars with pictures of our Deities also.
I think we should show greater respect in using the pictures of our Deities and Acharyas. We should avoid commercialism. We could use a combination of panchangam and desk-top where the pictures could be used as at least book marks after the month is over.

    • Thank you Sri. Nanjappa. This thought came to me very recently due to a story I read about Shirdi Sai Baba. It was regular practice for people to bring Holy books and pictures of Gods to get it consecrated by Sai Baba. On one such occasion, He told a devotee sitting next to him (Sri. Jyothindra Tharkhad) that he was feeling much pain as if someone where stamping on him and to go and rescue him. Sri. Tharkhad did not understand this first but he went in the direction where Baba was pointing him to. What he found there was a picture of Sai Baba fallen on the ground and was being walked on by people passing by that place. This story got me thinking about indiscriminately printing pictures of Gods on calendars, store covers, etc. I have decided not buy/ print calendars and covers with God’s pictures on them unless I am able to put it in my puja room.
Thank you for you comment. I was feeling that I was over thinking this issue. But I have clarity now.

      • While no one can authenticate this story but let us assume it to be true.
What we can gather from your Shirdi Sai Baba story is that Shirdi Sai Baba is present in his pictures only not in the other pictures which people might be stamping day in and out.
When we believe that once a mahan or a human being elevates to such a high position to be called Living God, one cannot restrict his presence to a particular object alone, be it picture etc.
The picture by itself does not have any power but that picture gives us a feeling of remembering that person in reverence and that is the reason why we keep pictures of Gods and Mahans.
Personally I feel that incident should be related to that particular person only for teaching him something by that Mahan and should not be generalised.
Also we do have practices of depositing “Sri Rama Jayam” below temples to be constructed as the devotees when writing would have created some vibrations on these writings.
As regards pictures, we need to spread our information about our Kanchi Mutt and also make people remember out Gurus whenever they see these pictures. Stopping publication of these calendars are no solution while allowing it to be deposited in some river or ocean could be a solution.

    • I keep photo albums into which i cut and paste these pictures at the end of the year.

  11. HARA HARA SHANKARA JAYA JAYA SHANKARA
