வேடலில் ஓர் ஆன்மிக அருங்காட்சியகம்
காஞ்சியை நோக்கிச் செல்லும் வழியில் பெங்களூர் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலையில் இடப்புறம் திரும்பினால் பிரம்மாண்டமன ஆன்மிக அருங்காட்சியகத்தை வேடல் என்ற இடத்தில் காணலாம். காஞ்சி சங்கர மடம் இதனை நிர்மாணித்து, நிர்வகித்துவருகிறது.
பிரதான சாலையில் இருந்து பார்த்தாலே மிகப் பெரிய சிவன் சிலாரூபமும், அதற்கு இணையாகப் பெரிய நந்திகேஸ்வரர் சிலாரூபமும் அருங்காட்சியகத்தின் முகப்பு அடையாளச் சின்னங்களாகக் காட்சி அளிக்கின்றன. இதிலிருந்து ஒரு கி.மீ தூரம் உள்ளே சென்றால், அற்புதமாய் விரிந்து பரந்து காணப்படுகிறது ஆன்மிக அருங்காட்சியகம். இதன் உள்ளே மிகப் பெரிய அரங்கில் ராமாயணம், மகாபாரதம், ஸ்ரீமத் பாகவதம் மற்றும் ஆதிசங்கரர் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு உட்பட இதிகாச புராணங்களில் உள்ள நிகழ்வுகள், வரிசையாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள மாடம்தோறும் விவரிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் காட்சி, அறிவியல்பூர்வமானது. இவை மின்சாரத் தானியங்கி பொம்மலாட்டமாக அசைவுகளுடன் இயங்குவது தத்ரூபமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மேலும் இந்த அருங்காட்சியகத்தில், ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகர சரஸ்வதி சுவாமிகள் தம் வாழ்நாளில் பயன்படுத்திய பொருட்கள், பார்வையாளர்கள் தொடாமல் காணும் வகையில் கண்ணாடி அறைகளில் காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்தியக் கலாசாரத்தைப் பறைசாற்றும் இந்த அருங்காட்சியகத்திற்கு குடும்பமாக மட்டுமல்லாமல் பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகளில் இருந்து மாணவ, மாணவிகளும் சுற்றுலாவாக வருகிறார்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. அனுமதி இலவசம். விடுமுறையின்றி இயங்கும் இந்த அருங்காட்சியகம் காலை 9 மணி முதல் மாலை 5 மணி வரை திறந்திருக்கும்.

I went there.I was told that it will be open from 9 am till evening.When I went there at 2 pm ,it was closed.Then I called some one through my friends in Mutt.Went there at 3.15 pm.Saw the Museum of story of Ramayana,etc.Periyava museum was not opened and shown to me as just two of us were there.Men and my driver.Though I requested them to show the museum,they didn’t open telling that the museum is closed at 4 pm.When I asked them,it was just 4.15 pm.For a person coming from Chennai to see the museum,can’t they give just 15 minutes to see the photos.I camme all the way just to see the photos.They never agreed.Disappointing care for visitors.
