That photo in question is taken during one of the Mahamakams that Sri.Periyava has attended.
I have serious doubts regarding this picture. Periyava in this rare asana during his routine Japam..I think he normally wont sit like this while meeting people…please check the validity of this picture…

That is Mahaperiyava ‘s photo but not taken during diksha. When He took diksha, He was 13. In that photo, His age is at least 40+.
No Sir, I am not talking about this picture. I was mentioning another picture that is in circulation in the net. It is appearing on Feb 20, 2017 in Sri Srinivasan’s post. https://mahaperiyavaa.blog/2017/02/20/maha-periyava-deiva-vaaku-veda-rakshanam-audio-with-text-in-tamizh/. There is no mention about that photo in the post so I think. What I wanted to know about the genuineness of that photo. Thanks
That picture is very genuine. However it isn’t the photo of His sanyasa diksha as it is misinterpreted in the social media.
