சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் சிறப்பம்சங்கள் அத்தனையும் ஒருங்கே அமைந்த தன்மையோடு அம்மேன்மையை வெளிக்காட்டாத எளிமையோடு நம்மிடையே அருள்பாலிக்கும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா சாட்சாத் சர்வேஸ்வரரின் திரு அவதாரமே!

முக்காலமும் அறிந்த சர்வக்ஞ நிலையையும் அம்மகான் தானே வெளிப்படுத்தாமல் அடக்கம் காத்திருந்தும் அந்த மேன்மை தானே வெளிப்படும் விதமாக பல சம்பவங்களில் தெய்வரகசியத்தை பரைசாற்றியுள்ளது.

அன்பர் ஸ்ரீமடம் ஸ்ரீபாலு அப்பேற்பட்ட அனுபங்களை ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் அருகாமையில் அனுபவித்த பாக்யசாலிகளில் முதன்மையானவரென கருதும்படி பல சம்பவங்களை விளக்குகிறார். தென்தமிழ் நாட்டிலிருந்து ஒரு குடும்பம் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க வந்து நிற்கிறது. பெற்றோர் சகிதம் வந்திருந்த அந்த பெண்ணிற்குத் திருமணம் கை கூடவில்லை. அதன் காரணம் அந்தப் பெண்ணைப் பார்த்த மாத்திரத்தில் எல்லோருக்கும் புலப்பட்டுவிடுவதாக இருந்தது.

குறையாக சொல்லலாகாதெனினும் அந்தப் பெண்ணின் முகம் லட்சணங்கள் பார்ப்பதற்கு சகித்துக் கொள்ளும் நிலையில்லை. பெரியவாய், துருத்திக் கொண்டு வெளியே தெரியும் பல்வரிசை என முகத்தின் அவயங்கள் ஒட்டு மொத்தமாக அந்தப் பெண்ணை அவலட்சணம் என்பதாக கொஞ்சம் ஒதுக்கித்தான் வைக்கச் சொல்லும்.

வெளியே தெரியம் இந்தக் குறையை தவிர அந்தப்பெண் உள்ளத்தில் உயர்ந்தவள். உள் அழகை பார்க்கத் தெரியாத அதைப்பற்றி அக்கறை காட்டாத உலகிற்கு அவளுடைய வெளித்தொற்றம் ஒன்றே முக்கியமாகப் பட்டதில் ‘இந்தப் பெண் வேண்டாம்’ என்று நிர்த்தாட்சண்யமின்றி நிராகரிக்கத்தான் தெரிந்திருந்தது.

தான் பெற்ற பொன்குஞ்சுவின் நிலைமைக்காக கலங்கிய பெற்றோர்கள் போகாத கோயிலும் வேண்டாத தெய்வமுமில்லை. ஒரே ஒரு தெய்வத்தை தவிர! அது தான் சாட்சாத் பரமேஸ்வராரான ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாள்!

‘அந்தத் தெய்வத்திற்குக் கருணை காட்டுவதைத் தவிர வேறு ஒன்றுமே தெரியாது’ என்று அந்த முக்காலமும் உணர்ந்த தெய்வத்தை முழுமையாக உணர்ந்திட்ட பிரம்ம  ஸ்ரீபிரதோஷம் மாமா சிலாகிப்பது போல இந்தக் குடும்பத்தாருக்கும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளை அறிந்திட்ட யாரோ அவர்களை காஞ்சிபுரத்திற்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சன்னதிக்குப் போய்வருமாறு வழிகாட்டினர்.

இப்படித்தான் அந்தக் குடும்பம் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் முன் தரிசித்து நின்றது.

“உன் பேரு என்ன?” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அப்பெண்ணைக் கேட்டதில் அனுக்கிரஹ பிரவாகம் மடை திறக்கலாயிற்று.

“கன்னியாகுமரி” என்றாள்.

“உன் பாட்டி பேரு என்னென்னு தெரியுமா?” பெண் சொல்லத் தெரியாமல் முழித்தார்.

“உன் பாட்டி பேரும் இதே தான்” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தானே பதிலுரைத்து முன்பின் தரிசிக்க வந்திராத  குடும்பத்தின் ஏழுதலைமுறையும் தனக்குத் தெரிந்ததே என்பதை ஆர்ப்பாட்டமில்லாமல் யதேச்சையாக சொல்வதுபோல அருளினார்.

குடும்பத்தினருக்கு வியப்பு என்பதோடு நின்றுவிட்டது. எதிரே நிற்பது எல்லாமும் அறிந்த தெய்வம் என்பது மறைக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

“சரி கன்னியாகுமரி கன்னியாகுமரின்னு சொல்றோமே…. அந்த அம்பாளுக்கு என்ன விசேஷம்னு சொல்லு” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா குழந்தையைப்போல் சிரித்தபடி பெண்ணைக் கேட்கிறார்.

“மூக்குத்தி” எல்லோரும் அறிந்த ஒன்றாகையால் பெண் சட்டென்று விடைகூற முடிந்தது.

“ஆமாம் அந்த பேரை வைச்சுண்டிருக்கயே…. நீ ஏன் மூக்கு குத்திக்காம இருக்கே… நான் சொன்னா கேட்பயா? நீ உடனே மூக்கு குத்திப்பாயா?” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அருள் கட்டளை மிகத் தாழ்மையான விண்ணப்பமாக வெளிப்படுகிறது.

“உடனே இப்பவேயே குத்திக்கறேன்” என்று ‘யாரோ சொல்லிப் பார்க்க வந்த சாமியார்; முன்னே பின்னே அறியாத சாமியார்; சரி ஏதோ சொல்கிறார் கேட்டுக் கொண்டு அப்புறம் யோசித்து செய்யலாம், ஊருக்குப் போய் முடிந்தால் பார்க்கலாம்; அப்படி என்ன இவர் சொல்வதை உடனே கேட்டுவிட வேண்டுமாக்கும்’ என்றெல்லாம் சற்றும் தோன்றாத பவ்யத்தோடு அந்த பெண் உடனே மூக்குத்திக் கொள்ள தயாராகிவிட்டாள்.

அந்த பணிவு என்ற மிக உன்னதமான உள் அழகை அவள் வெளிக்காட்டும் சந்தர்ப்பத்தை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் பரிட்சை செய்வித்தருளியிருந்தது.

உடனே பெற்றோர்களுடன் மடத்திற்கு வெளியே போனாள். தேடி அலைந்து ஒரு தட்டானைப் பார்த்து மூக்குக் குத்தியாயிற்று. அந்தப்பெண் இளம் பெண் அல்ல. ஒரு முதிர் கன்னி. மூக்கும் அதன் காராணமாக முத்தியிருந்ததால் மூக்கை குத்தும்போது தாங்க முடியாத வலி. குருதி பெருக்கோடு குத்திய இடம் வீங்கிப்போய்விட்டது. அந்த வீங்கிய மூக்கில் மஞ்சள்பொடி அடைத்தபடி அந்தப் பெண் திரும்பவும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் முன் நின்றாள்.

“நான் சொன்னதும் போய் குத்திண்டு வந்துட்டயே” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த பெண்ணின் அடக்கத்திற்கு நற்சான்று தரும் சாக்கில் நடந்தவைகளை அங்கே இப்போது தரிசிக்க வந்தவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்வதற்கென்றே வெளிப்படுத்துவது போல் பாராட்டினார்.

அத்தெய்வம் உண்மையிலேயே இப்படித்தான் ஒரு நாடகம் ஆடியிருந்தது. அப்போது தரிசிக்க நின்றிருந்த ஒரு பக்தருக்கு ‘இப்படி ஒரு அடக்கமான பெண் உனக்காக இங்கே காத்திருக்கிறாள்’ என்று காட்டிக் கொடுப்பதாக இது அமைந்தது.

அந்த பக்தர் மணம்புரிந்து கொள்ள பெண்தேடும் படலத்தில் இருந்தவர். பல பெண்களைப் பார்த்தும் அவருடைய தேவை விருப்பத்திற்கு ஏற்ப ஒரு பெண்ணும் அமையவில்லை. தன் வயதான, உடல்நலமில்லாத தாயாரைக் கவனித்துக் கொள்ளும் பாங்கான மனதுடன் கூடியப் பெண்தான் இந்த பக்தருக்குத் தேவையாயிருந்தது. அழகெல்லாம் இவருக்கு இரண்டாம் பட்சமே!

பெண் தேடி அலைந்ததில் எந்தப் பெண்ணிற்கும் அத்தனை பரோபகார சிந்தனையில்லை என்பது தெரிந்தது. சற்று முன் அவர் சென்னையில் பார்த்துவிட்டு வந்த மூன்று பெண்களில் இரு பெண்கள் இவருடைய தாயாரைக் கவனித்துக் கொள்ள இவர் வைக்கும் கோரிக்கையை ஏற்பதாக இல்லை. மூன்றாம் பெண் இவரையே நிராகரிப்பதாகக் கூறிவிட்டாள்.

தேடி அலைந்து தன் தேவைக்கு அடக்கமான பெண் கிடைகாத குறையை தெய்வத்திடம் வந்து முறையிட வந்து நின்ற அந்த பக்தரிடம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “ இந்த பொண்ணை கல்யாணம் பண்ணிகிறயா?” என்கிறார்.

யாருக்கும் கிடைக்காத தெய்வ வழிகாட்டுதல்.

“தாராளமா பண்ணிக்கறேன்” தயங்காமல் அந்த பையன் கூறினாலும், தர்மம், நீதி மாறாத மகானால் அதை உடனே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள இயலவில்லை. தான் அருள் கட்டளையிடுவதால் வேறுவழியின்றி பக்தர் தர்மசங்கட நிலையில் ஒப்புதல் தெரிவித்திருக்கலாம் என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்குத் தோன்றியிருக்கலாம்.

“நல்ல யோசனைப் பண்ணி சொல்லு….. இந்த பொண்ணு அத்தனை அழகில்லையே …..பரவாயில்லையா?” ஒன்றுக்கு இரண்டு முறை தன் நேர்மைக்கு விளக்கமாக சுற்றிலும் நின்றிருக்கும் மற்ற எந்த பக்தர்களின் மனதிலும் ‘ இப்படி பெரியவா ஏதோ ஒரு பெண்ணை ஏமாந்தவன் தலையில் கட்டுகிறாரே ‘ என்று துளியும்  ஒரு எண்ணம் ஏற்பட்டிருக்குமேயாகில் அதற்கும் பதிலாக இருக்கட்டும் என கேட்கிறார்.

“பெரியவா தெய்வம்! இது போல அடக்கமான பொண்ணைத்தான் நான் தேடிண்டிருந்தேன் …. கிடைக்காத குறையை முறையிடலாம்னுதான் பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க வந்தேன்…. சன்னதியில் இப்படி ஒரு பொண்ணு கிடைச்சது என் பாக்யம்” என்று அவர் மனப்பூர்வமாக அத்தெய்வம் இட்ட கட்டளை தனக்குக் கிடைத்த அருட்பிரசாத வரம் என்று உணர்ந்து உருகித் தெரிவித்தார்.

சுற்றி நின்ற அனைத்து பக்தர்களும் இப்படி ஒரே சமயத்தில் இருவேறு பக்தர்களின் கோரிக்கையை நொடிப் பொழுதில் பரிபூர்ணமாக நிறைவேற்றியருளும் சாட்சாத் கருணாமூர்த்தியின் அனுக்கிரஹத்தை எண்ணி நெகிழ்ந்தனர்.

கன்னியாகுமரியின் மூக்குத்தி வழியே அவளுடைய வாழ்க்கைத் துணையைக் காட்டிட்ட மகான் எல்லார் வாழ்விலும் நல்வழி காட்டுவாரென்று அந்த பக்தர்கள் உணர்ந்தனர்.

நடமாடும் கிருஷ்ணன்

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் பக்தரான தில்லைநாதனின் அனுபவம் இது. ஸ்ரீபெரியவா கர்நாடகத்தில் மீரஜ் என்னும் இடத்திலிருந்து சதாராவிற்கு யாத்திரை புறப்பட்டார். அப்போது அஹிர்வாடி என்ற ஊரிலிருந்து  தில்லைநாதனும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளுடன் செல்லும் பாக்யம் பெற்றார்.

நடுவில் கராடு என்ற ஊரில் கிருஷ்ணாமாயீ மந்திர் உள்ளது. அங்கே கராடு என்ற நதி கிருஷ்ணாவுடன் மற்றொரு நதியுடன் சேரும் திரிவேணி சங்கமம் அமைந்துள்ளது. அந்த சங்கமத்தின் கரையில் அமைந்த கிருஷ்ணாமாயீ மந்திரில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா வந்து அமர்ந்தார்கள்.

சங்கமத்தில் விடியற்காலை ஸ்நானம் செய்துவிட்டு அனுஷ்டானம் செய்தபின் தரிசனம் தந்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் முன் பக்தர்கள் வில்வம், துளசி மற்றும் புஷ்பம், பழங்களை சமர்ப்பித்தனர்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் முன் வில்வம், துளசி, வாழைப்பூ, மாம்பழம், வாழைப்பழம், இளநீர் இவைகளை எடுத்து வைத்தபோது,

“பகவான் கீதையில்”

‘பத்ரம் புஷ்பம் பலம் தோயம் யோ மே பக்த்யா ப்ரயச்சதி

ததஹம் பக்த்யுபஹ்ருதம் அச்நாமி ப்ரயதாத்மந :’

என்கிறார். அச்நாமி என்றால் சாப்பிடுகிறேன் என்று பொருள். பூஜை செய்யும் பத்ரத்தை யாராவது சாப்பிடுவார்களா? ஆனால் வில்வம், துளசி இரண்டையும் சாப்பிடலாம். பூஜையும் செய்யலாம். புஷ்பங்களில் கதலீபுஷ்பம், வாழைப்பூ ஒன்று தான் சாப்பிடவும் பயன்படும். தோயம் என்றால் நீர் – ஜலம் இளநீர்தான் மிகவும் சுத்தமானது, மிகவும் மதுரமானது. இவற்றையெல்லாம் பக்தர்கள் சிரத்தையுடன் சமர்ப்பித்துள்ளார்கள். இதையெல்லாம் பார்க்கிறபோது கீதையின் சுலோகம் நினைவுக்கு வந்தது. இவைகளைத் தான் பகவான் குறிப்பிட்டு சொல்லியிருப்பார் என தோன்றது என்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவா விளக்கியபோது அந்த கிருஷ்ணாமாயீ கோயிலில் வந்தமர்ந்து தங்களுக்கு தரிசனம் அருள்வது சாட்சாத் கிருஷ்ண பரமாத்மாவே என்று அங்கிருந்த பக்தர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படையாகத் தெரிந்தது.

இப்பேற்பட்ட மகிமை வாய்ந்த தெய்வத்திடம் நாம் கொள்ளும் சரணாகதம். நமக்கெல்லாம் சர்வ மங்களங்களையும், சௌபாக்யங்களையும் அள்ளித் தரவல்லதென்பது உறுதியாகும்.

ஓரு துளி தெய்வாம்ருதம்

“கணக்காயிருக்கணும்” என்ற வார்த்தைகளை எல்லோரும் உபயோகிக்கிறார்கள். பண விஷயத்தில் நாம் எல்லோரும் கணக்காகவே இருக்கிறோம். ஒரு வஸ்துவிற்கு அதன் விலையை விட ஒரு பைசா கொடுக்காமல் கணக்காய் இருக்கிறோம். ஆனால் அவற்றில் எத்தனை வஸ்து நமக்கு போதும் எனக் காணக்காக இருக்கமாட்டேன் என்கிறோம். நாம் உயிர் வாழ இந்த வஸ்து அவசியம்தானா என்று பார்த்துக் கணக்காக செலவு செய்வதே உண்மையில் கணக்காயிருப்பதாகும்.

Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyavaal Mahimai (14-06-2011)

“Mahan Aruliya Mangalyam”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

Even though Periyava does not show His divine powers, there has been incidents where the devotees have experienced it.

Shri Balu is one of those gifted devotee, who has witnessed multiple incidents were Periyava had shown His real self. A family, including a daughter and her parents, had come for Periyava’s darshan from southern part of Tamilnadu. Attempts to fix the woman’s marriage were unsuccessful. The parents realized that any potential groom or their family, did not proceed ahead, after seeing her.

Even though physical appearance should not be given importance, since she had a big mouth and her teeth were sticking out, any family who were seeking her alliance had not agreed to proceed further. But the woman had the best heart and was good natured. But people overlooked those qualities and stuck to outer appearances.

The parents were troubled due to this and had been praying to all gods except Periyava. Just like how, Shri Pradosham Mama talks about the greatness of Periyava all the time, these parents heard about Periyava through one of their friends and decided to have His darshan to seek a solution to this problem. So they were at standing there before Periyava for His blessings.

“What is your name?” Periyava asked with extreme kindness.

“Kanyakumari”, she replied.

“Do you know your grandmother’s name?” Periyava asked. She stood there without knowing it.

“Your grandmother’s name is also Kanyakumari”, Periyava replied. Periyava made it look so simple, even though He knew the names of seven generations of the woman. Even though the family was surprised, the fact that Periyava knew the woman’s grandmother’s name was hidden.

“Can you tell me what is special about Kanyakumari Amman”?  Periyava asked her.

“Her nose ring”, she replied. This was something almost everyone knew.

“Then why don’t you wear a nose ring, when you have the Amman’s name? Will you listen to what I say? Will you start wearing a nose ring going forward?” Periyava asked in a very kind manner.

“I will start wearing from now”, she replied. Even though this was the first time, she was having darshan of Periyava, she did not just ignore and did not hesitate to follow His advice. It showed humbleness, which is actually the inner beauty of a person. Periyava very beautifully showed her inner beauty through this incident.

She immediately went outside Srimatam, found a goldsmith nearby and wore a nose ring. Since she was not very young, it hurt her very much and blood started to flow from her nose. She plugged it with turmeric and came back to Srimatam to see Periyava again.

“I just told you and you have done it so quickly”, Periyava appreciated the woman and also let other devotees nearby know of what was happening there.

This was all a drama that was being executed by Periyava. This was to show the woman’s good nature to a devotee, who was also present there at the Srimatam.

The devotee was actually looking for a girl to get married. He was not happy with the other potential brides that he had met earlier. He wanted someone who will be understanding, taking care of his old and sick mother. Beauty was not a concern for him.

He was unable to find an understanding girl. The three women that he had met in Chennai earlier that day were also similar. Two of them refused to take care of his mother and the third woman rejected him.

Frustrated with all the things that were going on, he had come to Srimatam to seek the blessings of Periyava. To him, Periyava asked, “Will you marry this woman?”

It was the divine way few are destined to experience.

“Yes I will”, he replied. Even though he had agreed for the marriage, Periyava was not totally convinced. Periyava wanted to make sure the devotee is not saying yes just because He had asked him to marry that woman.

“Please think once before you say, she is not very beautiful, is that ok?” Periyava asked the devotee. Periyava wanted to make sure that the devotee had agreed by himself. The other devotees present there should not think that Periyava is forcing him to marry that girl.

“I was looking for a humble woman like her, and had come here to Srimatam to seek blessings for finding such a girl. It is my blessing that, I had found the woman here in this Sannidhi itself”, replied the devotee thereby making it very clear that this was the blessing he was seeking.

The other devotees who were present there, were moved by this incident, were Periyava fulfilled the wishes of two different people at the same time. All the devotees there realized that, Periyava will bless them just like how he showed a way to Kanyakumari through a nose ring.

Living Krishna

This is an incident experience by a Periyava devotee called Thillainathan. Periyava had started His yatra from Miraj in Karnataka to Satara. Thillainathan was blessed to join that yatra from Ahirwadi.

On the way, there is Krishnamayi temple in a place called Karad. Here Krishna, Karad and another river meet and form a Thriveni sangam. The Krishnamayi temple is located near this sangam, and this is where Periyava reached and stayed.

In the early morning, after His snanam at the sangam, Periyava gave darshan to the devotees there. Everyone had come with vilvam, thulasi, flowers and fruits. When vilvam, thulasi, vazhaipoo (Banana flower), mango, banana and Coconut water were kept before Periyava, He told about few lines in Bhagavad Gita that goes:

“patram puspam phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati

tad aham bhakty-upahrtam asnami prayatatmanah

Asnami means to eat, does anyone eat the patram that is being worshipped? But vilvam and thulasi can be eaten. Among the flowers only Kathalee pushmam (vazhaipoo or Banana flower) can be eaten. Toyam means water (or liquid state) – and only Coconut water is the most purest and sweet. The devotees here have all bright these. When we see these, we are reminded of those lines. It looks like God also thought in a similar way and has said the line.” When Periyava completed saying this, all the devotees felt as if Lord Krishna had come there and is talking to them.

It is very important for us to surrender ourselves to Periyava and seek His blessings.

A drop of God’s Nectar:

Many people today use the word “to spend in a controlled way”. This mostly applies to all the money related transactions. We do not pay a paisa more than what the thing is worth. But actually we need to see if we really need that thing in our life. We need to buy only those things that are really necessary for our life.

Grace will continues to grow.
