ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மகிமை (28-1-2011)

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் சிறப்பம்சங்களுடன் விசேஷமாக திகழ்ந்த அதே சமயம் ஒரு எளிய பக்தருக்கும் தன்னை எளிமையாக்கி அவர்களை உய்விக்க ஸ்ரீ மகான் மேற்கொண்ட அருள்வழிகள் எண்ணிலடங்கா!

அப்படிபட்ட வழிகாட்டுதல்கள் ஏராளாமாயினும் திரு. ரா.கணபதி அவர்கள் தன் அனுபவமாகக் கூறியிருக்கும் சம்பவமொன்றில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உலகோருக்கெல்லாம் ஒரு மந்திர உபதேசம் செய்தருளியிருப்பதை எல்லோர் நன்மைக்காகவும் இங்கே அறிவிப்பது கடமையாகும்.(நன்றி. கல்கி வார இதழ்).

திரு. ரா.கணபதி அவர்களுக்கு பலநாட்களாக ஒரு சந்தேகம் எழுந்து அதற்கான விடை கிடைக்கவில்லை. கடவுளின் வடிவங்கள் பல இருப்பினும் அவையாவும் மூலமான ஒரே பிரம்மத்தின் வெவ்வேறு ரூபங்களேயாகும். இப்படி பல வடிவங்களான கடவுளுக்கு மூல மந்திரங்கள் தனித்தனியே உள்ளன. அவைகளை ஜபித்து அந்தந்த கடவுளை பூஜிக்க வழியுள்ளது. ஆனால் எல்லா தெய்வங்களுக்கும் மூலமான அந்த ஒரே கடவுளுக்கென மூலமந்திரம் ஏதுமில்லையே என்பதே அவருடைய சந்தேகம்.

பிரணவம் எனப்படும் ‘ஓம்’ என்பதை மூலகடவுளுக்கே உரித்தான மந்திரமாக அனுசரிப்பது உகந்ததென கருத்து இருப்பினும் அதற்கு மாறான கருத்தும் உள்ளது. முதலில் ‘ஓம்’ என்று கூறி அதோடு குறிப்பிட்டதொரு தேவதைக்கான மந்திரத்தைச் சொல்லாமே தவிர தனியாக ‘ஓம்’ என்ற பிரணவ ஜபத்தைச் செய்யலாகாது என்றும் சிலர் கூற ரா. கணபதி அவர்கள் கேட்டுள்ளார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளே ப்ரணவம் எனும் ஓம்காரம் நமக்குள் தன்னியல்பாகவே இதயத்தை ஒட்டிய அநாஹத சக்கரத்திலிருந்து எழும் ஒலி; எனவே சிலருக்கு தன்னியல்பாகவே அவர்களுக்குள் ‘ஓம்’ என்பது ஒலித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும். அவர்கள் மட்டுமே துறவியாய் இல்லாவிடினும் ப்ரணவஜபம் செய்யலாம் என்று அருளியுள்ளார்.

இப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளே திருவாக்காய் சொன்னதிலிருந்து மூலமான தெய்வத்திற்கான மந்திரம் ஏதோ ஒன்று உண்டென்றும், அது ஓம் என்பதல்ல என்றும் இவருக்குத் தெரிந்தது. ஆனாலும் அப்படி பட்ட ஒரு மந்திரம் உண்டா என்பதான கேள்விக்கு விடை தெரியவில்லை.

எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் வழியையும், விடையையும் அறிய ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் சன்னதியை அன்றி வேறு எங்கு செல்வது? ஆகவே இந்த எண்ணத்துடன் திரு. ரா. கணபதி சுமார் முப்பத்தேழு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளை தேனம்பாக்கத்தில் தரிசிக்கக் கிளம்பினார்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளெனும் தெய்வம் அறியாதது ஒன்றுண்டா? இவர் இப்படி ஒரு கேள்வியை மனதில் ஏந்தி தரிசிக்க வருகிறார் என்பதை அறிந்தவர்போல ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அங்கே ஒரு திருநாடகத்தை நடத்தினார்.

தேனம்பாக்கத்தில் பிரதோஷ காலமான மாலை ஐந்து மணிக்கு பரமேஸ்வரப் பெரியவாளின் தரிசனம். ஒரு கிணற்றின் மறுபுரத்தில் இருந்த குடிலை ஒட்டிய பகுதியிலிருந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தரிசனம் நல்கினார். கிணற்றின் இந்தப்பக்கம் பக்தர்கள் தரிசித்து நிற்கின்றனர்.

இப்படி நாற்பது பக்தர்களுக்கு மேல் பல்வேறு சமூகத்தினராக பல்வேறு வயதினராக இருந்தனர். ஓரிரு வெளிநாட்டவரும் தரிசித்து நின்றனர்.

அப்போது ஒரு ஐயங்கார் மாது ஒரு அதிசயத்தைச் சொன்னார்.

“நேற்றிரவு பெரியவா சொப்பனத்தில் வந்து ஏதோ ஒரு மந்திரம் உபதேசித்தீர்கள்; ஆனால் என் துரதிர்ஷ்டம் தூங்கி எழுந்ததும் இன்று காலை அந்த மந்திரம் எனக்கு மறந்து போச்சு. பெரியவா அவசியம் அந்த மந்திரத்தை மறுபடி உபதேசிக்க வேணும். பெரியவா எப்போ நான் மடியாக வந்து தனியா அதை உங்ககிட்டேயிருந்து உபதேசம் பெறலாம்னு சொன்னா, நான் அப்படியே வந்து உபதேசம் வாங்கிக்கிறேன்” என்றார் அந்த மாது.

அந்த மாது இப்படிக் கேட்டதிலிருந்து அந்த பக்தையின் ஆழமான பக்தி வெளிப்பட்டது. தன் கனவில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா வந்து மந்திரம் உபதேசம் செய்தது ஒன்றும் கற்பனையல்ல. அது நிஜம்தான். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொப்பனத்தில் தோன்றுவது உண்மையில் நடப்பதே என்று அந்த பக்தையின் அசையாத நம்பிக்கையில் தான் இன்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் அந்த மந்திரத்தை உபதேசிக்கக் கேட்டுவந்து நிற்கிறார் என அனைவரும் உணர்ந்தனர்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளெனும் தெய்வமும் அதை அமோதிப்பதுபோல உடனே அந்த பக்தைக்கு மந்திர உபதேசம் செய்ய விழைந்தபோது கூடியிருந்தோர் அந்த பேருண்மையை அறிந்து தெளிந்தனர்.

சாஸ்திர காவலரான ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளா இப்படி பேசிகிறார் என்ற பேராச்சரியம் ஏற்படுமாறு அம்மகான் மடியும் வேண்டாம் அந்தரங்கமும் வேண்டாம் பகிரங்கமாக எல்லோருக்குமாகச் (ஆம் மந்திரத்தை) சொல்றேன் என்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவா ஆரம்பித்து கணீரென்று தெய்வத்தின் குரலில்

“அம்பகவ” : “அம் பகவ” : “அம் பகவ” : என்று மூன்றுமுறை மந்திரத்தை உபதேசித்தார்.

திரு. ரா. கணபதி அவர்களுக்கு பிரம்மிப்பும், பேரானந்தமுமாகப் போய்விட்டது. நாம் எதைக் கேட்கலாமென்று இன்று வந்தோமோ அதைக் கேளாமலே இப்படி ஒரு சம்பவத்தை ஸ்ரீபெரியவா தானே உண்டாக்கி அதற்கான பதிலை தந்தருளியதை நினைத்து ரா. கணபதி அவர்களுக்கு சிலிர்ப்பு உண்டானது.

அங்கிருந்த அனைத்து பக்தர்களுக்கும் அன்று அந்த மந்திரஉபதேசம் சாட்சாத் ஈஸ்வரரின் திருவாக்கினாலேயே கிட்டிய பெரும்பாக்கியம் அருளப்பட்டது.

ஆச்சர்ய உணர்வைத் தொடரும் வகையில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா “இதை ஜபிக்க எந்த நியமமும்(விதிமுறையும்) இல்லை. எவரும், எந்த நேரமும் ஜபிக்கலாம்” என்று உபதேசித்தருளினார்.

இந்த அருள் மந்திரத்தை எப்படி உச்சரிப்பதென்று திரு. ரா. கணபதி விவரிக்கிறார்.

மந்திரத்தின் உச்சரிப்பு: “UMBHAGAWAHA” (UMBRELA என்பதிலுள்ள ‘UM’ என்று ஒலிக்க வேண்டும்).

‘பகவ’ என்பதன் முடிவான ‘வ’: என்பதை ‘வஹ’ என்று கூற வேண்டும். ஒலியியலின்படி ‘வ’ என்பதற்கும் ‘வஹ’ என்பதற்குமிடையே சிறுமாறுபாடு உண்டு. ஆனால் அதைக் கருத்தில் கொள்ளவேண்டியதில்லை. அன்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளும் ‘வஹ’ என்றே ஸ்பஷ்டமாக மொழிந்ததாக இவர் கூறுகிறார்.

ஆகக்கூடி எந்த மந்திர சாஸ்திர நூலிலும் காணப்படாத ‘அம் பகவ’: என்று மகாமந்திரம் திரு. ரா. கணபதி அவர்களின் சந்தேகத்திற்கு தீர்வாக ஸ்ரீபெரியவா அருளியதோடல்லாமல் அப்படி ஒரு ஆபூர்வ மந்திரத்தை அங்கு தரிசித்து நின்ற அத்தனை பக்தர்களுக்கும் தானே உபதேசித்ததுபோலவும் திருநாடகம் புரிந்துள்ளார். இப்படி ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளின் திருவாய்மொழியில் நமக்கெல்லாம் ஒர் அமுதச்சுனையாக மகாமந்திரம் கிடைத்துள்ளதாக ரா. கணபதி உணர்ந்தார்.

‘பகவ’ என்பதற்கு ‘பகவானே’ என்று பொருள்.

‘அம்’ என்பது ஒரு மங்கல அக்ஷரம்.

நெடுங்காலமாக ரா. கணபதி அவர்கள் மனதில் இருந்த கேள்வியான அனைத்து தெய்வங்களுமான மூலக் கடவுளுக்குரிய மந்திரம் ‘அம் பகவ’ என்றும் இதை எந்த தெய்வத்தை இஷ்ட மூர்த்தியாக கொண்டவர்களுக்கும் ஜபிக்கலாம் என்றும் இவருக்கு தெரியலாயிற்று.

‘பகவ’ என்பது ஆண்பாலில் இருந்தாலும், பெண் தெய்வங்களை நினைத்தும் இதை ஜபிக்கலாம் என்பதும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடமிருந்து விளக்கமாகப் பெற்றதாக ரா.கணபதி அவர்கள் குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாள் தனது நீண்ட நெடிய நூற்றாண்டு வாழ்வில் அன்று ஒரே ஒரு நாள் மட்டுமே இப்படி ஒரு மந்திரத்தை அதுவும் பகிரங்கமாக மொழிந்துள்ளார் என இவர் வியக்கிறார்.

எல்லோருக்குமான இத் தங்கப் புதையலை 36 ஆண்டுகள் தனக்குள்ளேயே வைத்திருந்ததாகவும், சென்ற ஆண்டில்தான் தனக்குத் தெரிந்த சிலருக்கும் மற்ற பலருக்கும் இதனைக் கூறிவருவதாக சொல்கிறார். அவர்களுள் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளையே தங்கள் இஷ்டதேவதையாகக் கொண்ட சிலரும் இந்த மந்திரத்தின் பயனாக தங்களுக்கு பல விசேஷமான பலன்கள் கிடைத்ததாகக் கூறியதை உவகையுடன் தெரிவிக்கிறார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் திருவாக்கினால், திரு. ரா. கணபதி அவர்கள் மூலமாக நமக்கெல்லாம் கிடைத்திட்ட மந்திர உபதேசமாக இதை நாமும் ஜபித்து சகல நன்மைகளும் அடைவோமாக!

நல்ல காலம் பிறந்தது (நன்றி: தரிசன அனுபவங்கள்)

சென்னையைச் சார்ந்த தில்லைநாதன் என்ற பக்தர் தன் தரிசனத்தின் போது ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் தனக்கேற்பட்ட அனுபவத்தை வியக்கிறார்.

1959 இல் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா சென்னையை அடுத்த வானகரம் எனும் இடத்தில் வியாஸ பூஜை செய்து சாதுர்மாஸ்ய விரதத்தை அனுஷ்டித்து வந்தார். ஒரு நாள் மாலை வேளை ஸ்ரீபெரியவா சன்னதிக்கு முன் கொஞ்சம் தள்ளி நின்றபடி ஒரு பெண் ஏதோ தோத்திரம் சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவா அப்போது தில்லைநாதனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “ அந்தப் பெண் யாத்திரா பிரபந்தம் சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாளா கேள்” என்றார். அங்கே இவர் சென்று கேட்டபோது அந்தப்பெண் “ஆமாம்” என்றாள். இவருக்கோ ஆச்சர்யம்!.

தோத்திரத்தை அந்தப் பெண் சொல்லிமுடித்ததும் அவளை சுவாமி சன்னதிக்குச் சென்று சௌந்தர்யலஹரி சொல்லச் சொல்லு என்றார். அவளும் அப்படியே செய்தாள்.

மாலை ஆறு மணி பூஜை ஆரம்பிக்கும்முன் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா அந்தப் பெண்ணிடம் “யாரோடு இங்கே வந்தே” என்றார். தான் பக்கத்து வீட்டுகாரார்களோடு வந்ததாகவும், அவர்கள் நேரமாகி விட்டதால் சென்றுவிட்டதாகவும் பதிலுரைத்தாள்.

அதைக் கேட்டுவிட்டு பூஜைக்கு சென்ற மகான் பூஜை முடிந்து தீபாராதனை ஆனவுடன் திரும்பவும் அந்தப் பெண்ணை அழைத்து “ நாற்பத்தைந்து நாளைக்கு துளசி மடத்துக்கு நெய்விளக்கு ஏற்றி பிரதட்சிணம் செய்து கொண்டு வா” என்று உத்தரவிட்டு அந்தப் பெண்ணை அங்கே தரிசிக்கவந்த கன்னிவாடி ஜமினை இவளைப் பத்திரமாக அவள் இடத்திற்கு கொண்டுபோய் சேர்க்குமாறும் உத்தரவிட்டு அருளினார்.

அதன்பின் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா சொன்ன நாற்பத்தைந்து நாட்கள் கடந்தன. தில்லைநாதன் அப்போது தரிசிக்கப் போனபோதும் அந்தப் பெண்ணை அவள் கணவனுடன் பார்க்க நேர்ந்தது.

இவரைப் பார்த்தவுடன் அந்தப் பெண் தன் கணவனிடம் “இந்த மாமாதான்….இந்த மாமாதான் அன்னிக்கு பெரியவா என்னை சௌந்தர்யலஹரி படிக்கச் சொன்னதா சொன்னவர்” என்று அறிமுகப்படுத்தி அன்று நடந்ததை தன் கணவனிடம் கூறச் சொன்னாள்.

“நாங்க ரொம்ப நாளா பிரிந்துதான் இருந்தோம். எனக்கும் ஒரு நல்லகாலம் வராதான்னு ஏங்கிக் கொண்டுதான் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசித்து செல்வேன். அவரோட அனுக்கிரஹத்தாலே நாங்க இப்போ ஒண்ணா சேர்ந்துட்டோம்” என்று உருகியபடி கூறினாள்.

இப்படி ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளெனும் கருணைக்கடல் இன்னும் எத்தனை எத்தனையோ பக்தர்களுக்கு இன்னல்களை போக்கியருளியுள்ளது. இப்பேற்பட்ட காருண்யதெய்வத்தைப் பற்றிக் கொண்டவர்கள் வாழ்வில் சகல ஐஸ்வர்யங்களுடன் சர்வ மங்களங்களும் வந்து சேரும் என்பது சத்தியம்.

ஓரு துளி தெய்வாமிருதம்

தொண்டுக்காக எப்போதும் வெளியே செல்பவர்களுக்கு ஒரு ‘டிரிக்’ சொல்கிறேன். அன்போடு பதவிசாக வெளி மனுஷர்களிடம் நடப்பது போலவே தன் வீட்டு பேரிடமும் அன்பாக அனுசரணையாக இருக்க வேண்டுமென்பதே அந்த ‘டிரிக்’.

“நாம்தான் வீட்டையேக் கட்டுக்கொண்டு அழுகிறோம்; இவனாவது லோகத்துக்கு நல்லது பண்ணி நமக்கும் சேர்த்து புண்ணியம் சம்பாதித்துத் தரட்டுமே” என்று நினைத்து வீட்டு வேலைகளைக் கூடியமட்டும் இவனிடம் காட்டாமல் தாங்களே பண்ணும் மனப்பக்குவம் இதனால் வீட்டிலுள்ளவர்களுக்கு உண்டாகும் என்பதால்தான்.

Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyavaal Mahimai (28-01-2011)

“UMBHAGAVAHA”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

For a long time, Shri Ra. Ganapathy had a doubt and was unable to find any answer to his question. Even though there were multiple form of God, they were all different form of one Brahman. Each of these forms of God has its own manthra. By chanting these mantras, we pray to that particular form of God. But is there a mantra for Brahmam, the base for all these forms of God?

There is a general opinion that the Pranava mantra “Om” to be observed as the mantra for Brahmam or the base God. But it is also very uncommon to just chant “Om” and this will usually be followed with a manthra for a particular form of God.

Shri Periyava had once mentioned that, the anahata chakra present near our heart create the Pranava manthra “Om” vibrations. So for very few, the “Om” will be already ringing inside them. They can chant Om alone even if they are not a sanyasi.

Based on this, Shri Ra. Ganapathy knew that there existed a special mantra other than Om, but he did not know what that manthra was.

Who else do we think about other than Periyava, when we have such unanswered questions? 37 years ago Shri Ra. Ganapathy went to Thenambakkam with this question in his mind.

Is there anything in this world that happens without the knowledge of Periyava? Periyava staged an act at Thenambakkam knowing very well the intention of Shri Ra. Ganapathy’s visit.

It was Pradosham day and Sarveshwaran Periyava was sitting on one side of the well. There were around 40 devotees, belonging to different age groups. There were also couple of foreigners. Everyone were on the other side of the well.

At that moment, an Iyengar lady started narrating a surprising event.

She said, “Periyava came in my dream and did a manthra upadesam. But after waking up, I am unable to remember the manthra. Periyava should kindly do the manthra upadesam to me again. Please let me know when I should come. I will come with “madi” for the manthra upadesam”.

This showed the deep bhakthi the lady had for Periyava. She really believed that, it was Periyava’s will that He comes in His’ devotees dreams for various reasons. All the other devotees also realized this when Periyava started the manthra upadesam right away.

Everybody were surprised that Periyava, the protector of the Shastras, proceeded with the manthra upadesam without “madi” and when all the other devotees were present (not only to the lady).

“UMBHAGAVA: UMBHAGAVA: UMBHAGAVA: “- Periyava told it thrice.

Shri Ra. Ganapathy was surprised to hear the answer to his questions without even asking Periyava about it.

All bakthas who had assembled were overjoyed because all of us got ‘UMBHAGAVA:’ manthra upadesam from Periyava without asking. Periyava said there are no conditions for chanting this mantra. It can be chanted by anybody anytime.

Shri Ra. Ganapathy explains the pronunciation of this mantra:

UMBHAGAVAHA (UM sound like in word UMBRELLA).

‘VA:’ – the end of the word BHAGAVA: has to be pronounced as ‘VAHA’

Thought phonetically there is some difference between ‘VA’ and ‘VAHA’ we can ignore this difference.

On that day Periyava also pronounced ‘VAHA’ clearly.

So ‘UMBHAGAVA:’ a maha mantra which is not found in any shastra book was given to all of the devotees as a prasadam – like nectar- by Periyava.  ‘BHAGAVA:’ means Lord or Bhagavan. ‘UM’ is a holy aksharam or word.

Shri Ra. Ganapthy got the answer to a question which was puzzling him for a long time. ‘UMBHAGAVA:’ is the mantra pertaining to the one and only God – Brahman. We can chant this mantra to pray to our Ishta devatha also. Periyava also clarified that though this mantra is in masculine gender, but it can also be used to pray to Goddesses.

It is a great wonder that this is the one and the only occasion when Periyava has openly taught this mantra to His devotees. Though Shri Ra. Ganapathy was blessed with this mantra 36 years ago only for the last one year, he has started talking about it to others. Many devotees of Maha Periyava have told him that they have gained many blessings by chanting this manthra.

Let us all chant this maha manthra from Periyava, which we have come to know through Shri Ra. Ganapathy, and get His blessings.

Shri Thillainathan from Chennai shares his experience during his darshan of Periyava.

In 1959, Periyava was camping in Vanagaram near Chennai. He was performing Vyasa Pooja and observing the Chaturmasya Vratham. One day evening, a lady was standing near Periyava’s Sannidhi and chanting something.

Periyava called Thillainathan and asked if the lady is chanting “Yathra Prapantham”. Thillainathan was surprised when he went and asked the lady and she responded yes. Periyava asked her to chant Soundarya Lahiri after she was done.

It was around 6 pm, and before Periyava started His Pooja, he called the lady and asked with whom she had come. She answered that she had come with her neighbors, and since it was late, they had already left.

Periyava left for the Pooja and once it was over, he called the lady and asked her to light “Nei Deepam” for the thulasi and do pradakshina for 45 days. He also asked Kannivadi Zamin, who also had come for Periyava’s darshan to drop the lady at her house.

45 days had passed, and when Thillainathan went for Periyava’s darshan, he met the lady and her husband. The lady introduced Thillainathan as the devotee who had asked her to read Soundarya Lahiri on the instructions of Periyava.

The lady continued, “We were separated for a long time. I had darshan of Periyava in the hopes that this problem will be solved. We are now together due to Periyava’s grace”.

Sri Periyava, the merciful ocean he is has removed the difficulties of many many devotees. It is a promise that those who get hold of this graceful divine will achieve prosperity and auspiciousness in their lives.
