  1. Many tks for sharing this painting. A very talented and gifted artist. A very great blessing and service to all by this gesture!.

  2. This is a painting by the great artist Sri Maniam(Maniam Selvan’s father) from Kalki deepavali issue.

  3. Hare Krishna. As a young boy, about 65 years ago or so, I saw a similar painting in our ancestral home (and I don’t know whether it is still there, as one by one, all brothers have moved out of our ancestral home in Madurai first and later from Tiruchirapalli). Since I am a devotee of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, I thought that the God just behind our Acharya was Lord Kothanda Rama. I loved the picture for the serenity and peace that it gives to the viewers. Now, I understand that this is a painting. Don’t tell me that the picture (Devi) behind the Acharya is a feminine form, which I didn’t know at that time, as the devotion to Lord Rama had blinded me to make a distinction. What a beautiful painting. Wish to compliment the artist and the person, who so graciously shared the picture for the benefit of all.

May the Lord Rama, Devi Balatirupurasunari, the Acharya (reincarnation of Lord Siva) shower Their blessings on the artist and the person responsible for sharing it with others, with a long, healthy and peaceful life.

    Hare Krishna.

  4. Can not believe it is a painting. Looks very much like a photograph! How lovely. The sentence “Ambal follows Him into your house” gives so much comfort. Thanks
