  2. Splendid indeed is the determination of Reddy family and the team to recreate Hoysala temple architecture anew in his village. How people all over could contribute for this mammoth project? Kindly advise.

    • I do not know much about this project, but have requested friends living in and around Kolar and Moolabagilu to find out some more about it. I will pass on any new information I get to you or to the administrator of this site. Meanwhile here are the links to the temple trust’s site and one contact link. The site seems to be still in its nascent stage. There is also a link to an even more detailed article on the Temple, its architecture and other aspects etc. by the architect himself. It is worth reading. One interesting information is that there is a place near Kolar/Malur called Shivarayapatna which is a traditional centre for stone sculpture work.

Another interesting observation is the manner in which man, material and money help is coming in.

  4. Dear Sri Sai Srinivasan,
I read an article today about a new Hoysala style temple being built near Mulabaagilu, Kolar. I thought all of you who are so dedicated to the renewal and re-consecration of our temples, and struggling to find men and means for this, must read this. But I was wondering whether it was suitable to post it here, or to you, for it is not “connected” to Kanchi Matam in any way. But as I was hesitating, this post of yours came into my box. “Sri MahaPeriyaval Padhuka Darshanam.”

So I am offering this article and its message at the feet of Periaval. May we find inspiration from it.
