                                          ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மகிமை (7-3-2010)

எங்கும் நிறைந்து எதிலும் வியாபித்தருளிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பரம்பொருளாம் சாட்சாத் பரமேஸ்வரரே தன் அபாரக் கருணையினால் தன்னை ஒரு சன்யாசிக் கோலத்தில் சுருக்கிக் கொண்டு நம்மிடையே சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் மேன்மையோடு அவர்களை நாமெல்லாம் தரிசித்தி அனுக்கிரஹம் பெறும் பாக்யத்தை நல்கியுள்ளார்.

தில்லைநாதன் என்ற பக்தர் தான் அனுபவித்த சம்பவங்களைக் கூறுகிறார். அது கர்நூல் வியாஸ பூஜை முடிந்து காஞ்சிபுரம் வந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருளிக் கொண்டிருந்த சமயம். தில்லைநாதன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாத் தரிசனத்திற்குச் சென்றிருந்தார். அப்போது வட தேசத்திலிருந்து ஜமீந்தார் குடும்பம் ஒன்று தரிசனத்திற்கு வந்திருந்தனர். அவர்கள் இருபத்தைந்து பேர்களுக்கு மேல் இருந்தனர்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா, தனக்குப் பின்னால் நின்றுக் கொண்டிருந்த தில்லைநாதனைக் கூப்பிட்டு தமக்கும் பால பெரியவாளுக்கும் நடுவே வந்து உட்காரச் சொன்னார்கள். அந்த இடைவெளியில் ஒடுங்கி இவர் அமர்ந்தார்.

மகாபெரியவா இவரைப் பார்த்து “திதிகளில் கடைசி திதி என்ன?” என்றார்.

“அமாவாசை, பவுர்ணமாவாசை” என்றார் இவர்.

“முதலில் சொன்னதை மட்டும் சொல்” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

“அமாவாசை”

“அதிலே கடைசி எழுத்தை விட்டுட்டு சொல்லு” என்றார் பெரியவா

“அமாவா” என்றார்.

“இதை அவர்கிட்டே போய் சொல்” என்று அந்த வடநாட்டு ஜமீந்தார் குடும்பத்தை சுட்டிக் காட்டினார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

இவர் ஒன்றும் புரியாமல் நின்றார்.

“அவர்களிடம் கேள்” திரும்பவும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னார்.

இவரும் போய் அவர்களிடம் “அமாவா” என்றுக் கூறினார். உடனே அந்த குடும்பத்தினருள் ஐம்பது வயது மதிக்கதக்க ஒரு பெண்மணி முன்னே வந்து,

“நான்தான், நான்தான் அந்த அமாவா. என் பெயர் இங்கு யாருக்குத் தெரியும்…. யார் சொன்னார்கள்” என்று வியப்பும் மகிழ்ச்சியுமாக இந்தியில் கேட்டார்.

அதற்குள் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளே “சரி! அவள் இதற்கு முன் என்னைப் பார்த்திருக்கிறாளான்னு இந்தியில் கேள்” என்றார்.

இதைக் கேட்க அந்த மாது “பார்த்ததேயில்லை” என்றாள்.

“நான் இவளைப் பார்த்திருக்கேன்னு சொல்லு” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னார்.

“ஆமாம் என்கிறாளே எப்போன்னு கேளு” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா விடாமல் கேட்டார்.

இதைக் கேடட்தற்கு அந்த பெண்மணி “நான் அப்போ சின்னக் குழந்தைன்னு தாத்தா சொல்லியிருக்கார். இரண்டு வயசுதான். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை எங்க அரண்மனைக்கு வரவழைச்சு எங்க தாத்தா பாதபூஜை செய்ததா சொல்லியிருக்கார். அப்போது பார்த்திருக்கலாம். நான் ரொம்ப சின்னக் குழந்தையினாலே எனக்கு ஞாபகமில்லை” என்றாள்.

பின்னர் விசாரித்தபோது காசி யாத்திரை சென்றபோது சுமார் ஐம்பது வருடத்திற்கு முன் அந்த ஜமீந்தாருடைய சமஸ்தானத்திற்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா விஜயம் செய்துள்ளதுத் தெரிந்தது.

இதை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்கு இத்தனை ஞாபகசக்தியா என்ற அளவில் வியந்து விட்டுவிட முடியாது. தான் காணும் பலகோடி பக்தர்களில் எங்கோ எப்போதோ இரண்டு வயதளவில் பார்த்த சிறுமியை ஐம்பதாண்டு காலத்திற்கு அப்புறம் இருபத்தைந்து நபர்களாகத் தரிசிக்க வந்திருந்த குடும்ப நபர்களின் நடுவே சுட்டிக் காட்டுவதென்பதை அத்தனை சாதாரண விஷயமாக தில்லநாதனால் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள இயலவில்லை என்கிறார். இது போன்ற பல சந்தர்ப்பங்களில் தனக்கு அபூர்வ ஞாபக சக்தி இருப்பதுபோல நாடகமாடும் சாட்சாத் தில்லை நடராஜரின் மகிமையின் வெளிப்பாடுகளே இவையாவும் என்று அனுபவித்து இந்த பக்தர் கூறுகிறார்.

தில்லைநாதன் தான் கண்ட  இன்னொரு அனுபவத்தை சொல்கிறார்.  ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா 15-6-1980 அன்று இஸ்லாம்பூர் என்ற ஊருக்கு அஸ்தமனம் ஆகும் சமயம் விஜயம் செய்தருளினார். இந்த பக்தரும் உடன் சென்றார்.

அப்போது ஒரு வாலிபன் கண்ணில் ஆனந்த நீராய் பொங்க ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க வந்து நின்றான். அவனைப் பார்க்கும்போது மிகவும் களைப்பாய் தெரிந்தான். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் தரிசனம் கிட்டியதே என்று ஏக்கம் நீங்கியதுபோல் முகபாவம் உணர்த்தியது. அந்த பிரம்மச்சாரி வாலிபன் உருக்கமாகச் சொன்னத் தகவல்.

“ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷ மாமாதான் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை ‘பிடிச்சுக்கோ எப்பவும் காப்பாத்துவான்னு சொல்லித் தரிசனம் பண்ண அனுப்பினார். ‘மீரஜ்’ லே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இருக்கா போய் தரிசனம் செஞ்சுட்டுவா’ ன்னு சொன்னார். எனக்கு மெட்ராஸ் தவிர இந்த ஊரெல்லாம் புதுசு. எந்த இடமும் தெரியாது. குறப்பிட்ட ரயிலிலே ஏறி மீரஜ் ன்னு கேட்டு இறங்கிட்டேன். ஊருக்குள்ளே வந்துப் பார்த்தேன். அந்த ஊரிலே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இருக்கிற சுவடேத் தெரியலே. தமிழ் பேசறவா யாராவது தென்பட்டா கேட்கலாம்னு பார்த்தா ஒருத்தரும் கிடைக்கல்லே. கன்னட பாஷையும் சுத்தமாத் தெரியாது.

எனக்கு தெரிஞ்ச இங்கிலீஷ்லே கேட்டப்போ ஒரு வழியா ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த ஊரைவிட்டு கிளம்பிட்டதா மட்டுமே தெரிஞ்சது. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அங்கிருந்து எந்த ஊருக்குப் போனார் என்பதுத் தெரியவில்லை. அப்படித் தெரிஞ்சுண்டு அங்கே எப்படிப் போவது என்பதிலும் தயக்கம். ஒரு விபரமும் தெரியாத இடத்தில் எப்படித் தேட முடியும் என்று நம்பிக்கையில்லாமே மறுபடியும் ரயில்வே ஸ்டேஷனுக்கே வந்து சேர்ந்தேன்.

திரும்பவும் நான் ஸ்டேஷனுக்கே வந்தது விடியற்காலையில். அப்போதிலிருந்து மாலை மூன்று மணிவரை ஸ்டேஷனிலேயே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தேன். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை இத்தனை தூரம் வந்தும் தரிசிக்க இயலாத அபாக்யசாலி ஆனேனே….”ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கைவிடமாட்டா எப்படியும் காப்பாத்துவா’ ன்னு ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா சொல்வாரே! அது பொய்யாகியும் போகுமோ என்றெல்லாம் அத்தனை நேரமும் மனம் எண்ணியதில் துக்கம் தொண்டையை அடைத்தது. கண்ணீர் வடிக்கும் நிலையுமானது.

மாலை மூன்று மணியளவில் சென்னைக்குத் திரும்பும் ரயிலுக்காக டிக்கட் வாங்கிவிடலாமென்ற முடிவோடு வேதனையோடு க்யூவில் வந்து நின்றேன். துக்கத்தில் சோர்ந்துப்போய் நின்றவனுக்கு செவியில் தேனாக யாரோ தமிழ்பேசுவது வந்து விழுந்தது. கொஞ்சம் தெம்பு உண்டானது. க்யூவை விட்டு நகர்ந்து அவர்களிடம்போய் தமிழில் விசாரித்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் போய் கொண்டிருக்கும் இடத்தை இங்குள்ளவர்களிடம் கேட்டுச் சொல்லச் சொல்லலாம் என்று நம்பிக்கைப் பிறந்தது.

இதைப்போய் விசாரித்தபோது ஒரு இன்ப அதிர்ச்சி எனக்குக் காத்திருந்தது.

“அடடா! பெரியவாளைத் தரிசனம் பண்ணிட்டுதானே நாங்களும்  வர்றோம். எங்களோட வந்தவர் ஒருத்தர் மெட்ராஸ் போறார். அவரை வண்டியிலே ஏத்த வந்தோம். திரும்ப நாங்க ரெண்டுபேரும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இடத்துக்குதான் போறோம்…. நீங்களும் எங்களோடு காரிலேயே வரலாம்…. பதினைந்து கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்திலிருந்து வந்தோம். இப்போ ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இருபத்தைந்து கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்துக்கு போய் இருப்பார்…… வாங்க போகலாம்னு அவர்கள் சொன்னபோதுதான் ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் வாக்கின் உண்மை புரிந்தது! ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா எப்படியெல்லாம் அனுக்ரஹம் செய்கிறார்னு நினைச்சா மெய் சிலிர்க்கிறது.”

இப்படி அந்த வாலிபன் சொன்னபோது கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த பக்தர்களுக்கும் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் பெருங்கருணை வெளிப்பட்டது.

இப்படித்தான் அதீத் என்ற ஊரில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருளிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது ஒருநாள் சாயங்காலம் எல்லோரையும் சந்தியாவந்தனம் செய்ய பெரியவா அனுப்பிவிட்டு தில்லைநாதனை மட்டும் தன்னுடன் நிறுத்திக் கொண்டார்.

அப்போது ஒரு பக்தர் தரிசிக்க வந்து நின்றார்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தில்லைநாதனைப் பார்த்து “ஏழு புண்ணிய நதிகளை சொல்” என்றார். இவரும் “கங்கேச, யமுனே, சைவ கோதாவரி, சரஸ்வதி, நர்மதே, சிந்து, காவேரி” என்று வரிசையாகச் சொன்னார்.

“கடைசிக்கும் முன்னதா உள்ளதை மட்டும் சொல்” என்றார் பெரியவா.

“சிந்து” என்றார் இவர்.

“அதை அவரிடம் சொல்லி கேள்” என்றுத் தரிசிக்க நின்ற பக்தரைக் காட்டினார் பெரியவா.

இதை சொன்னதும் அந்த பக்தர் முகமெல்லாம் மலர்ச்சி.

“ஆமாம் நான் ஒரு சிந்திதான்…சிந்து தேஸவாசி. சிந்து பிரதேசம்தான் என் பூர்வீகம்” என்று பக்தர் ஆனந்தமும் ஆச்சர்யமுமாகச் சொன்னார். அந்த பக்தரிடம் அவர்களின் குலாச்சாரம், கலாச்சாரம் இவைகளைக் கேட்டறிந்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அனுக்ரஹித்து அனுப்பினார். முக்காலும் உணர்ந்த மாமுனிவரை இதற்கெல்லாம் வியப்பதா என்று தோன்றுகிறது. இப்பேற்பட்ட மகிமை வாய்ந்த தெய்வத்தை சிக்கெனப் பிடித்து சகல நன்மைகளோடு ஆனந்தமான வாழ்வை சர்வ மங்களங்களோடு அடைவோமாக.

ஓரு துளி தெய்வாமிருதம்

பணிவு இல்லாமல் படிப்பில் மட்டும் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றால், எவரும் முழு மனிதனாக ஆக முடியாது. நமக்கு எல்லாம் தெரியும். நாம் புத்திசாலி என்ற அகம்பாவம்தான் வெறும் படிப்பினால் உண்டாகும். இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு பகவான் துணைபுரியமாட்டார். டாக்டர், நோயாளிக்கு மருந்து கொடுப்பதோடு இதை சாப்பிடலாம், இது கூடாது என்று பத்தியமும் சொல்வார். இந்த பத்தியம் இல்லாமல் மருந்து மட்டும் பலன் தராது. படிப்புதான் மருந்து என்றால் அதோடு சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளவேண்டிய பத்தியம் பணிவு என்பதே!
 

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் ‘மீளா அடிமை’ யான அற்புத நாயன்மார்                                                                 (தொடர்ச்சி)

பிரம்மஸ்ரீ  பிரதோஷ மாமாவின் வாக்கின் வலிமை ஒன்றே செயல்பட்டதன் காரணமாக ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹபெரியவாளின் ஜயந்தி உற்சவங்கள் மாதம்தோறும் அனுஷ புண்ணிய தினத்தில் கொண்டாடி மகிழும் பாக்யம் நாயேனுக்கு அருளப்பட்டிருந்தது.

“நீ அதோடு நிக்காமே ஒவ்வொரு ஜயந்தி புறப்பாடு முடிஞ்சு சுவாமி வந்தப்புறம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைப் பத்தி வந்திருக்கிற பக்தாளுக்கு சொல்லணும்” என்றும் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமா அருள்கட்டளையிட்டிருந்ததால், நாயேன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் மகிமை அற்புதங்களை அறிய முற்பட்டு அவைகளின் உண்மைத்தன்மைகளை தெளிவாக்கிக் கொண்டு அனுஷம் தோறும் மகானைப் பற்றி பக்தர்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கும் பாக்யம் கிட்டியது. இதனாலேயே ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மகாபெரியவாளெனும் தெய்வத்தின் மேன்மைகளை அறிந்துக் கொண்டு அனுபவிக்கும் வாய்ப்புகள் பெருகலாயிற்று.

பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமா எனும் குருவால் காட்டப்பட்ட புனித வழியில் நாயேனின் வாழ்க்கைச் சக்கரம் திருப்பப்பட்டு இல்லம் மங்கள வைபவங்களால் பக்தி மனம் கமழலானது.

ஒரு சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமாவிடமிருந்து கவலையும் வருத்தமும் தோய்ந்த ஒரு விண்ணப்பம் எழுந்தது. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளுக்கு சளியும், கபமுமாக இருப்பதாகவும், உடலை துச்சமென பாவிக்கும் மகான் இதனால் அவஸ்த்தைப் படுவது நன்றாகத் தெரிவதால் மனது வேதனைப் படுவதாகவும், அதற்கு நான் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட ஹோமம் செய்து பிரார்த்தித்ததாகவும் பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமா சோக இழையோடு எடுத்துரைத்தார்.

“நீயும் உங்க ஊரிலே ‘சப்த திரவிய அமிர்த்த மிருத்யஞ்ச ஹோமம்’ னு சொல்ற இந்த ஹோமத்தை செஞ்சு பிரசாதத்தை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுக்குக் கொண்டு சமர்பிச்சா நல்லது” என்றார் பிரம்மஸ்ரீமாமா.

இப்படி ஒரு பாக்யம் கிடைத்த மகிழ்ச்சியோடு அந்த ஹோமத்திற்கான ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்து, நிறைவேற்றி பிரசாதமான தீர்த்தத்தை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு பஸ்ஸில் நாயேன் காஞ்சி புறப்படலானேன். புனித தீர்த்தத்தை கூஜா போன்ற திருகு மூடியுள்ள ஒரு குடத்தில் வைத்து வஸ்திரங்களில் சுற்றி எடுத்து செல்ல லகுவாக ஒரு பக்கெட்டில் மடிமேல் வைத்துக் கொண்டு பயணம் செய்தபோது நாயேனுக்கு திடீரென்று ஒரு சந்தேகமும், பயமும் ஏற்படலானது. புனித தீர்த்த்த்தை எடுத்துச் சொல்லும் குடம் புதிதானதல்லவே. இந்த குடம் வேறு எது எதற்கு பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளதோ தெரியவில்லையே……. இதைப்பற்றி யோசிக்காமல் தீர்த்தத்தைக் கொண்டு செல்கிறோமே…..தெய்வத்திற்கு சமர்பிக்கிறோமே……. அபசாரமாகிவிடக்கூடாதே என்றெல்லாம் சஞ்சலப்பட்டபடி காஞ்சி அடையும்வரை இனம்புரியாமல் மனம் தவித்தது.

ஸ்ரீ மடத்திற்கு நாயேன் சென்றபோது பொழுது புலர்ந்திருந்தது. மிக மிக அபூர்வமாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் கைங்கர்யம் செய்பவர்களோ, பக்தர்களோ ஒருவர்கூட இல்லாத சூழலில் நாயேனுக்கு மட்டுமே பிரத்யேக தரிசனம் அருள்பவர்போல் ஆட்கொண்டார்.

நாயேனைக்கு பார்த்து ‘என்ன’? என்பதுபோல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சைகை செய்ய ஹோமம் செய்து தீர்த்தம் சமர்ப்பிக்க வந்ததாக நாயேன் படபடப்போடு தீர்த்தத்தை மகான்முன் வைத்தேன். அதற்கென்றே காத்திருந்தவர்போல் சடாலென்று குடம் அடங்கிய பக்கெட்டை ஒரு மெலிந்த கரத்தில் பெரியவா தூக்க அந்த புனித சரீரம் ஒரு பக்கமாக சாய்வதைப் பார்த்து நாயேனுக்கு திக்கென்றது.

ஒரு கரத்தில் தண்டத்தை தூக்கி மறுகரத்தில் பக்கெட்டுமாக மகான் விறுவிறுவென்று உள்ளே நடந்துச் செல்லும்போது , ஸ்ரீகண்டமாமா எனும் கைங்கர்யம் செய்பவர் பதைபதைத்து ‘ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா  இப்படி செய்யலாமோ…. நாங்களெல்லாம் எதுக்கு இருக்கோம்…..தூக்கிண்டு வர சொன்னா செய்யமாட்டோமா’ என்று எதிரே ஓடி வந்து அந்த பக்கெட்டை பெரியவாளிடமிருந்து வாங்க முற்பட்டார். காருண்ய மாமுனிவரோ ‘வாங்காதே’ என்பதுபோல அவரை தண்டம் ஏந்திய கரத்தால் தடுப்பதுபோல் காட்டித் தானே தூக்கியபடி உள்ளே சென்றார். இவர் பின்னால் ஓடினார்.

இதையெல்லாம் பார்த்து பிரம்மித்துப்போய் நின்றுக் கொண்டிருந்த நாயேனிடம் பிரம்மஸ்ரீமாமா வந்தார். “இங்கே என்ன பண்ணிண்டு இருக்கே….. உள்ளே உன்னைக் கூப்பிடறா போய் பார்” என்றார். உள்ளே  சென்றேன். அங்கே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தான் ஸ்நானம் பண்ணுமிடத்தில் தன் திருக்கரத்திலிருந்த குவளையில் குடத்தின் தீர்த்தத்தை ஒரு கைங்கர்யம் செய்பவரை ஊற்றச் சொல்லி வாங்கி, உத்தரணி அளவில் உட்கொண்டு அதில் ஸ்நானம்  செய்துக் கொள்ளும் அற்புதக் காட்சி தரிசனமாயிற்று.

அப்படி ஸ்நானம் செய்ய முற்பட்ட மகான் நாயேன் நிற்கும் திசையில் திரும்பி ஒரு அருட்பார்வை வீசியதில் ‘நான் பூர்ணமாக ஏற்றுக் கொண்டேன்’ என்ற சேதி எனக்கு புரியலானது. இப்படி ஈர்த்து நாயேனை ஆட்கொண்டு ஈசன் அருளுவது பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமா எனும் அரும்பெரும்குருவின் மகத்துவத்தால்தான் என்பதும் இச்சம்பவத்தால் மறுபடியும் ஊர்ஜிதமாயிற்று.

Should we be surprised for this?

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

This is an incident narrated by a devotee Thillainathan. Periyava has come back to Kanchipuram from Kurnool after completing the Vyasa Pooja. Thillainathan had gone for Periyava’s darshan. There was a Zamindar family of more than 25 people who had come for Periyava’s darshan from North India.

Periyava called Thillainathan, who has standing behind, and asked him to sit between Him and Bala Periyava. Thillainathan squeezed in the space between and sat.

“Which is the last thithi?” Periyava asked.

“Amavasai, Pourna Amavasai” Thillainathan replied.

“Tell me the first one in that”, Periyava said.

“Amavasai” Thillainathan replied again.

“Can you remove the last letter and tell that again”, Periyava continued.

“Amava”, said Thillainathan.

“Go and tell this to them.” Periyava said to Thillainathan, pointing at the Zamindar family.

Thillainathan was confused. Periyava once again asked him to tell it to them. So he went to them and said “Amava”. A fifty year old lady in the group came forward and with a surprised look said, she was Amava and asked in Hindi, who know her name there.

Periyava continued, “Ask her in Hindi, if she has seen me before”.

She replied that she had not seen Him before.

“Tell her I have seen her”. Periyava replied.

“She is saying yes, ask her when it was”, Periyava continued asking.

The lady replied, “My grandfather has told me that I was a small baby, maybe 2 years old. My grandfather had invited Periyava to our palace and did Padha Pooja. I would have seen Him that time, but I do not remember it well”.

Later it was known that, about fifty years ago, when Periyava went for Kasi yatra, He had went to the Zamindar’s palace.

We should not just be awe struck by Periyava’s memory and leave it there. Among the crores of devotees who come for His darshan, identifying a 2 year old baby after 50 years in a group of 25 people is not something ordinary. Thillainathan says he could not take this as an ordinary event. With many other similar events where Periyava has displayed His extra-ordinary memory, Thillainathan is convinced that Periyava is no other than the avatar of Thillai Sri Natarajar.

Thillainathan narrates one more experience. Thillainathan had accompanied Periyava on 15-6-1980 to Islampur. It was evening when they had reached there.

A young boy came to have Periyava’s darshan. With his tear filled eyes, he looked very tired. He felt as if all his wishes were fulfilled, when he had darshan of Periyava and narrated this:

“Shri Pradosham Mama had asked me to surrender myself to Periyava. He asked me to go to Miraj to have Periyava’s darshan. I did not know any place other than Madras. Somehow, I got a train and reached Miraj. I was not able to find the place where Periyava was staying. Nobody there knew to speak Tamil and I did not know to speak Kannada. With the little English I knew, I found out that Periyava has left Miraj, but they did not know where Periyava was camping next. Since, I was not familiar with the places, I came back to the railway station. It was early morning, when I reached the station. I waited in the station until 3 pm that day. I felt I was unlucky not to have Periyava’s darshan even after travelling a long distance. I thought about Shri Pradosham Mama’s words that Periyava will never leave a devotee. Around 3 pm, I decided to go back to Chennai and stood in the ticket counter queue. I was feeling weak and tired. Suddenly, I heard someone speaking in Tamil. I was feeling a little energetic. I wanted to talk to them and with their help, wanted to find out the town that Periyava was going to.

I was pleasantly surprised and shocked, when I had talked to them. They too had come for Periyava darshan. After having darshan, they had come to the station to drop off their friends, who were going back to Chennai. Then they were going back to Periyava again and invited me to come with them in their car. At that moment, I realized the truth in Pradosham Mama’s statement.”

Everybody hearing the experience there realized the kindness of Shri Periyava.

Similarly, when Periyava was camping at Atheeth, he asked everyone other than Thillainathan to go and do Sandhyavandhanam.

A devotee came for Periyava’s darshan. Periyava asked Thillainathan to tell the seven sacred rivers. Thillainathan replied, “Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswathi, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri”.

Periyava said, “Tell me the river that was last but one”.

“Sindhu”, Thillainathan said.

Periyava pointed to the devotee and said, “Tell him the name and ask”.

On hearing that, the devotee was filled with happiness. “Yes I am a Sindhi. Sindh area is my native”, said the devotee happily. Periyava asked the devotee and blessed him. Should we really get surprised about these incidents by a great Saint like Shri Mahaperiyava? Let us all pray to Him and be blessed.

A drop of God’s Nectar:

If a person is highly educated with, but does not have any humility, he will not be complete. With only education, a person thinks he knows everything. God does not help such persons. When a doctor prescribes some medicines to a patient, he also advices the restriction on food items. Only the medicine without food restriction does not cure the disease. Similarly, if education is the medicine, humility is the food restriction that needs to be followed too.

Due to the strength of Brahmashri Pradosham Mama’s words, I was blessed to participate in all the Jayanthi and Anusham celebrations of Periyava.

Shri Pradosham Mama also had asked me to not only attend these celebrations, but also inform the devotees about Periyava. For this reason, I had tried to learn about Periyava, His blessings to devotees and made sure all the information that are there are correct. This gave me a better chance to learn about the greatness of Periyava.

With the help of my Guru Brahmashri Mama, my life rolled in circle of pure bhakthi activities.

Once, Brahmashri Mama, with great sadness told about the cold and cough that Periyava had caught. Pradosham Mama was very depressed knowing very well that Periyava does not mind about His bodily ailments. Due to this, Mama had performed a Homam and prayed. Mama also asked me to perform “Saptha Dhiraviya Amirtha Mrityunjasa Homam” and take the prasadam to Periyava.

I was very happy to perform this Homam, and took the Prasadam and started on my journey to Kanchipuram. I was carrying the prasada theertham in a Jug with a lid to close it. I had wrapped this in a cloth and kept it in a bucket, so that it can be carried easily. The jug was old and I suddenly realized that the jug would have been used for many other purposes and is it really clean to carry prasadam for Periyava in that. With the same doubt, I reached Kanchipuram.

I reached Sri Matam in the morning. I was surprised to see no devotees there. Periyava was sitting all by Himself giving a special darshan to me.

Periyava pointed at the bucket and asked what is in there. I explained about the Homam and said that the Prasadam is in the bucket. Suddenly, Periyava took the bucket in one hand and with His Dhandam in the other hand, went inside. On seeing this, His disciples came running and wanted to carry the bucket for Him. But Periyava stopped them and continued to go inside.

I was surprised by this and was standing there without knowing what to do next. Brahmashri Mama asked me what I was doing there and asked me to go inside. I went inside and saw that Periyava had asked to mix the prasada theertham to the water for His Snanam. Periyava took an uddhrini of water and then started His snanam. Just before His started, He turned around to look at me and I understood that Periyava had accepted my prasadam. All this were because of Periyava’s kindness and my Guru Brahmashri Pradosham Mama’s grace.

Grace will continues to grow.
