தோஷங்கள் நமக்கு வராமல், அதிகாரி பேதம் செய்து தர்மங்களை வித்யாஸப்படுத்திக் கொடுத்திருக்கும் நம் மத சாஸ்திரங்கள் நம்மையும் ரக்ஷித்து, உத்தம தர்மங்களையும் திரியாமல் ரக்ஷித்து வந்திருக்கின்றன. நாமோ அதிகாரி பேதமே வேண்டாம் எல்லாம் ஸமம் என்கிறோம். அதோடு நமக்குப் பிடித்த இந்த அபேத வாதம் தான் நம் மதத்தின் மூலக் கொள்கையே; அதில் ஜாதி வித்யாஸமே கிடையாது என்று சொல்லி, அதற்கு ‘நல்ல பெயர்’ உண்டாக்குகிறோம்! இதுவும் மூல மதத்துக்கு விரோதமாகப் போவதோடு நிற்காமல், இந்தப் போக்குத் தான் மதத்தின் ஒரிஜினல் ரூபமே என்று திரித்துக் காட்டும் தோஷத்தில் சேர்ந்ததுதான். எடுத்துச் சொல்வதற்கு எவருமில்லை! சொன்னால் புரிந்து கொள்வார்கள்; ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவராவது ஒப்புக் கொள்வார்கள்; சற்று முன் நான் சொன்ன ‘நல்லார் ஒருவர் உளரேல்’ கொள்கைப்படி இந்த அளவுக்காவது நான் திருப்திப்படலாம் என்றுதான் இவ்வளவும் சொல்வது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்

Our religion has protected us against the lapses by distinguishing the principles to be followed by its followers, taking into consideration their position in life. Our saastras have protected us and also the noble virtues of our religion. We, on the other hand, claim that everyone is equal and that the basic tenet of our religion is also equality and there is no ‘caste’ distinction in it and thus strive to create a ‘good’ name for our religion, There is no one to point out that this attitude also amounts to the sin of distorting the original structure of the religion. If explained, at least one in thousand may understand and accept.
