Last weekend, my ex-neighbor visited us from Atlanta and I had them Chicago Periyava darshan. She was talking about how Dr Mathrubootham used to go to Kanchipuram and do free medical camp. It seems she used to accompany as a kid along with Dr’s sons etc. They go in the early morning, do namaskaram to Mahaperiyava and do free medical services to villagers, elderly and other poor people and have lunch there – cooked by the Matam staff and stay till the evening….Get Periyava’s darshan, utharavu before heading back to Chennai. It seems Dr’s kids are living here in Atlanta US…It would be nice if we could get some more of the experiences from them or any rare photos from those days…..
Her husband was sharing his darshan in T.Nagar, when he was a very small boy. It seems his parents take him to Periyava very frequently when He was in Madras those days. One day, it seems Periyava walked very close by him and looked straight into his – most powerful and penetration it was! My friend was telling me that I still could remember those eyes.
They didn’t feel like leaving Chicago Periyava after their darshan!
To me, while posting, the highest amount of time goes in picking the right photo. Almost 90% of the time, suddenly a photo will pop on my mind with respect to the incident and finding that photo is the longest job 🙂 After selecting the photo, I realized that this photo happens to be one from His Chennai vijayam too….

That photo is what I put to alleviate medical issues in family.
There is something about that picture that brings a lot of sollace during difficult medical issues days
Always like your selection of photos. Thanks for the effort.
