Krishna Yajurveda & Shakai Parayanam @ Trissur Vadukkunathar Temple – July 24 – Aug 6

My sincere thanks to Dr PV Ramachandran, Purdue Univ, IN who has been taking lot of initiatives to get this great event organized with the blessings of Sri Kanchi Periyavas. He is one of our biggest supporters and active participants of Periyava events in Chicagoland area. Hats off to him for this and all other initiatives he has been associated with.

As you might know, Adi Sankara was born to the Sri Shivaguru – Smt Aryamba dhampathi as a result of their prayers to Vadakkunnathar.  There is also Adisankara Sannidhi inside the temple premises, built by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam.

The pArAyanam is going to be conducted by by Brahmasri Cholavandaan Sri Krishna Iyer Gopala Ghanapatigal ..Salakshana Ghanapati and SishyAs.

Devotees in and around this area should take advantage of this rare opportunity to attend, listen to this parayanam and receive the blessings of Kanchi Acharyas and Lord Vadakkunathar.

Aum Namah Shivaya!

  1. Absolutely corect shudnt b recorded …but for safe gaurding and research and futurstic study purposes in digital library it can b kept if at all recorded .not for distrubution …it may b used for study and comparative purposes

  2. the Since Mahaperiyava blessings are solicited for origanising this Maha event, I woold like express
that, Mahaperiyava was against recording Veda Parayanam…not een providing mike and speakers.
The sound waves and vibrations coming out of chanting normally, is different from the sound spread
through speakers and the listening to recorded chanting.
The effect expected out of the vibrations due to sound waves will not be beneficial, may be adverse.
I just want to share. and leave it to the learned organisors and patrons.

    Andanallur S.Vedanarayanan.

  3. It would be great if such events are recorded and added to archive.or or published somewhere.
