சாஸ்திரத்திலே நிறைய ஸயன்ஸ் இருக்கிறது வாஸ்தவம். அதனாலேயே அது முழுக்க ஸயன்ஸுக்கு உடன்பட்டாகிவிட வேண்டும் என்று ஆகாது. முன்னே கேலி செய்த விஷயங்களில் பல இப்போது விஞ்ஞான ரீதியில் அர்த்தமுள்ளவை என்று அறிகிற அடக்கம் நமக்கு வரவேண்டும். “நமக்குத் தெரிந்த ‘த்ருஷ்ட’த்தோடு, தெரியாத, தெரிய முடியாத ‘அத்ருஷ்ட’மும் இருக்கிறது; அதிலேதான் நம் நிறைவிருக்கிறது; இந்த ‘அத்ருஷ்ட’த்தைச் சொல்லும் சாஸ்திரங்களை அநுஸரித்து நடந்துதான் நம் பூர்விகர்கள் பக்தியிலும் ஞானத்திலும் நிறைந்து லோகமெல்லாம் புகழும்படியாக இருந்தார்கள்; அதை விட்டதிலிருந்துதான் நாம் விஞ்ஞானத்திலும் பொருளாதாரத்திலும் எத்தனையோ முன்னேறியுங்கூடக் கொஞ்சமும் நிறைவேயில்லாமல் திரிந்துகொண்டு, லோகமும் நம்மை மட்டந்தட்டும்படியாக ஆகிக்கொண்டு வருகிறோம் என்பதைப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். சாஸ்திரங்களில் சொல்லியிருக்கிற எல்லாமே நிஜம் என்ற நம்பிக்கை பெற வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்

It is true that our Sastras are in many ways scientific. But that does not mean our scriptures are subordinate to the sciences. We should be humble enough to understand that the contents of scriptures which we mocked at before are now acknowledged to be scientifically valid. There are as many things unknown to us as are known to us. Taken together, they bestow fullness upon us. It is only by following these subtle, imperceptible things that our ancestors achieved great heights in devotion and knowledge and thus were famous throughout the world. We gave up those things and thus are being treated derogatorily by the rest of the world though we have made great strides scientifically and economically.
