தங்களுடைய லிமிடெட் ஸர்க்கிளைத் தாண்டி நாலெட்ஜ் (அறிவு) வெளியே பரவக் கூடாதென்ற [சுயநலக் கும்பலின் கொள்கை] தான் நம் பூர்விகர்கள் இம்மாதிரி ஸயன்ஸ் உண்மைகளைக் கூறாமல், கதையிலே போர்த்தி மூடி வைத்ததற்குக் காரணம் என்றும் சிலர் குற்றம் சொல்கிறார்கள். இது ரொம்பத் தப்பாகும். மனஸ் கட்டுப் படாதவர்களுக்கு அறிவை மட்டும் கொடுப்பது அனர்த்தத்தில்தான் முடியும். பெரும்பாலான ஜனங்கள் மனஸ் கட்டுப்படாதவர்களாகத்தான் இருப்பார்கள். ஸயன்ஸ் ஸகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் பரவி முன்னேறிக் கொண்டேயிருக்கும்போது, அந்த முன்னேற்றத்துக்கு எதிர் ratio-வில் (விகிதாசாரத்தில்) லோகத்திலே தர்மம் பின்னே போய்க்கொண்டேயிருப்பதை நாம் பிரத்யக்ஷமாகப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டுதானே இருக்கிறோம்? இதை அநேக நூற்றாண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே போஜன் ‘ஸமராங்கண ஸூத்ர’த்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். அதிலே ஏரோப்ளேனைப் பற்றிக்கூட ‘வ்யோமயானம்’ என்று சொல்லி, ஆனாலும் அதன் theory-ஐ மாத்திரம் கொஞ்சம் கொடுத்துவிட்டு, “இதைச் செய்யும் procedure-ஐ இங்கே விஸ்தாரம் பண்ணாததால் அது தெரியாதாக்கும் என்று நினைக்க வேண்டாம். நன்றாகத் தெரியும். ஆனாலும் புஸ்தகத்தில் எல்லாருக்கும் தெரியும்படியாக எழுதி வைத்து விட்டால், அதனால் லோகத்துக்கு நன்மையைவிடக் கெடுதியே ஜாஸ்தி உண்டாகும் என்றுதான் இங்கே சொல்லவில்லை” என்று காரணம் காட்டியிருக்கிறார். அவர் சொன்னதிலுள்ள உண்மையை நாம் கண்கூடாகப் பார்த்து விட்டோம்! ரண பூமியில் மட்டும் யுத்தம் என்றில்லாமல் நாடு நகரமெல்லாம் குண்டு போட்டு World War நடந்ததற்குக் காரணம் விமானப் படையெடுப்புத் தானே? ஹ்ருதயம் சுத்தியாவதற்கு முந்தி புத்திமட்டும் விருத்தியானால் அனர்த்தந்தான் என்பதை ஸமயாசாரங்கள் எடுபட்டுப்போய் ஸயன்ஸ் மட்டும் அபிவிருத்தியாதிக் கொண்டிருக்கிற இக்காலத்தில் நன்றாகப் பார்க்கிறோம். இதனால்தான் சுத்தர்களான நல்ல கல்ச்சருள்ளவர்களுக்கென்று மாத்திரம் நம் பூர்விகர்கள் அநேக விஷயங்களை வைத்துவிட்டனர். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்

Some people accuse our ancestors of being selfish and restricting the knowledge to a limited circle, by spreading such stories and hiding the scientific facts. This is very wrong. Giving knowledge to those people who cannot control their minds will end only in disaster. A majority of people will not have the capacity of self control. We are clearly seeing that as scientific development spreads, Virtue is growing less in the world in an inverse ratio. Bhojan has stated this long ago in his “Samaraangana Sutram”. He has even delineated the theory of manufacturing planes under “Vyomaayaanam” but has refused to present the practical procedure of manufacture (at which he is adept) because such a revelation will result in more adverse effects than positive. We have actually seen this happen in front of us. Bombings were not confined to battle fields but spread to cities only due to the advent of Air Force. If intellect is developed before the heart is purified only disastrous effects will be there. This is obvious in these times when science is developing and codes of religion are being given up.
