Kanchi Kamakoti Siva Foundation (KKSF) Midwest is planning for a Maharudram on June 9-11, 2017. The last Maharudram was conducted in 2009 and it was a major success with the blessings of Sri Kanchi Acharyas. As part of fundraising, we are pleased to have Sri Subash Mama & party’s musical event in Chicago and Katha-kutcheri by Smt B.Suchitra on May 6th, 2017. As part of the core team, I have a great pleasure in inviting you for this musical experience from Sri Subash mama and team. Here are the details:

Time – 4,00 PM – Smt Suchitra & Party’s Katha Kutcheri
6.15 PM – Sri Subash Chandran’s rhythmical rhapsody

As you all may know, Sri T.H Subash Chandran mama is King of Konnakol, an unique the art of performing percussion syllables vocally. He is also one of the well-renowned Ghatam artist and top of all a great Mahaperiyava devotee,  He is assisted by fine artists – I have seen Sri Ganesh Kumar on Kanjira and Sri Krishna on keyboard in the past – this combination is absolutely great. It was truly soul-filling and with Sri Sivaraman and Sri Rajaraman added to this band, I am sure we will have a musical blast.

On my special request, Sri Subash mama has agreed to share few of his divine experiences with Mahaperiyava on top of the  during this musical program, which would be a great treat to all. They have also composed several Periyava songs and I am requesting mama to sing some of those songs for me. I am not sure if we would have time for all. Regardless, this is going to be a great musical experience.

Smt Suchitra, renowned hari-katha expert is going to dedicate this event to Mahaperiyava. I am very excited to see Smt Suchitra performing about Mahaperiyava.

It is going to be a great musical and divine evening. Admission is FREE. I request all of you to attend this program in large numbers and contribute generously to help us conduct this Maharudram event.
