Puthira Bhagyam – Maha Periyava’s Grace!

Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara,

Below is the experience of Maha Mahopadhyaya Badhoor Rangaraja Swami, Asthana Vidhwan of Ahobila Matam and Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. This article appeared in Sakthi Vikatan, April 28, 2015.  The experiences of Maha Periyava devotees convey important lessons to all of us. Devotees who are deprived of child (Puthra Bhagiyam) can follow the instructions of Maha Periyava’s upadesam and get benefited. Please share as much as you can as well.

Many Jaya Jaya Sankara to Smt. Sunitha Madhavan for the share and translation. Rama Rama.

Experiences of Maha Mahopadhyaya Badhoor Rangaraja Swami

“Once I went  for Maha Periyava’s darshanam to Kanchi . At that time a lady had come for darshan. She expressed  her grievance of not having children. Periyava remained silent for a while.

Then he asked her ‘How many sisters does your husband have? On festive occasions have you ever given at least a blouse piece to them?‘ That lady stood dumb, bending her head down. Periyava continued to tell ….’ That could be the reason. Every year do some good to them. On nine continuous Fridays, give bananas to Gho  Matha.

This is how Periyava with firmness will point out the mistakes of devotees and at the same time with infinite compassion  graciously tell them the corrections as well which always overwhelmed me.

Later I also heard  the news that the lady did have Puthra Baghyam. Will not Periyava’s words come true?”
