ஆசாரமில்லாமல் தத்வ ஞானமோ, ஏதோ ஒரு ஸித்தாந்தத்தில் ஸித்தியோ வராது. ஒரு ஜீவனின் பழைய மூட்டையெல்லாம் தீர்க்கிற அளவுக்கு அவனுக்கு ஓயாமல் நிறையக் கர்மாக்களைக் கொடுத்து அழுக்கு மூட்டையை சுத்தம் பண்ணுகிறதாகவே எல்லா ஸம்பிரதாயத்து ஸமயாசாரமும் இருக்கிறபடியால், அதில் இதைத்தான் பண்ண வேண்டும் என்றில்லாமல், எதைப் பண்ணினாலும், ஆனால் நிச்சயமாகப் பண்ணத்தான் வேண்டும் என்று வழுவறப் பண்ணினால் இவனுக்குப் பிடிமானமுள்ள ஸித்தாந்தத்திலேயே ஸ்வாநுபூதி அடைய அதுவே இவனுக்கு ஸஹாயம் செய்துவிடும். ஆகையால் ஒருத்தன் தத்வத்தில் தான் பிறந்த குடும்பத்துக்கு வேறாக கன்விக்ஷன் இருக்கிறது என்பதற்காக அதன் ஸமயாசாரத்தைவிட வேண்டியதில்லை. “பூர்வைராசரித:குர்யாத்” என்ற உத்தரவை மீறிப் பதிதனாகப் போக வேண்டியதில்லை. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்

Without the observance of traditional practices there cannot be any philosophical enlightenment or realization. All ritualistic practices followed by the different sects have been prescribed to lessen the burden of impurities   a person carries, through the performance of constant karmas (action). So instead of choosing the rituals or actions to be performed, if one is constant in the performance of these prescribed duties, that very action will help him attain Realization in the Philosophical conviction close to his heart. Hence even if a person’s philosophical conviction is contrary to that of his ancestors he need not give up the traditions laid down by them.
