Pratyaksha Dheivame – Audio album on Mahaperiyava

Smt Gayathri Girish is one of the regular readers of this blog and we had an opportunity to meet in the past. She has a great bakthi for Mahaperiyava and Kanchi Acharyas. She is one of the few persons whom I can count for doing any musical program for Mahaperiyava. I have also known Sri Papanasam Sivan’s families being extremely devoted to Sri Kanchi Matam. Few days back she contacted me to inform about this musical album and explained how Dr Rukmini Ramani has been planning to structure this album sales to benefit vedapatasalas. Very noble thought and we are seeing more productions of books/albums etc being created with this objective.

Here is Gayathri’s posting in FB….

Looking forward to hearing the entire album…

We salute to this team for having created a very melodious musical samarpanam to Mahaswami.

Please note that the team needs some support as part of this release. IF anyone is interested, please let me know and I will connect you with the team.

Hara Hara Sankara Jaya Jaya Sankara

I sincerely thank Dr.Rukmini Ramani for having given me this wonderful opportunity to learn the 5 kritis and record them for this album.

It was a great experience working with J B Sruthisagar on the flute, N Anantha Narayanan on the Veena, and B Sivaraman on the mridangam. Special thanks to Sri Krishna and Mr. Ravi of Sruthilaya Studios, Alwarpet, where the recording and mastering was done.

Here is a small video clipping of the wonderful experience that all of us had! Thanks to Sri Suresh for uploading this in Youtube.
