We have read many incidents on Sri Periyava giving darshan to devotees in many Devatha Swaroopams. I have not heard our Periyava giving darshan as Brahma. Here are a couple of beautiful incidents where that desire too is fulfilled 🙂

வாயினால் உன்னைப் பரவிடும் அடியேன் படுதுயர் களைவாய் பாசுபதா பரஞ்சுடரே!

                 “பிரம்மா சொரூபம்” (நன்றி: மகா பெரியவரின் தரிசன அனுபவங்கள்)

நம்மிடையே ஒரு தவசீலர் கோலத்தில் அருள்பாலிக்கும் ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவா சாட்சாத் ஈஸ்வரரின் திரு அவதாரமென்பது மகானது சுகபிரம்மரிஷியின் மேன்மையினால் வெளிப்படுகிறது.

பரமேஸ்வரராய், நாராயணராய், அபிராமியாய், சுவாமிநாதனாய் பக்தர்களின் மனதில் குடிகொண்ட தெய்வங்களாக அவர் அவர்களுக்கு இந்த மாமுனிவர் காட்சிதந்த சம்பவங்கள் ஏராளமானவை.

அதில் ஆக்கும் கடவுளாய் பிரம்மாவாக ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவர்களை தரிசித்த ஆனந்தம் பற்றி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பக்தர் எஸ். வேங்கடராமனின் அனுபவம் இது.

திரு. வேங்கடராமனின் தம்பி சந்தானத்திற்கு விவாகமாகி ஏழு ஆண்டுகளாகியும் புத்திரபேறு கிட்டாமலிருந்தது. திருமணமான மூன்றாவது வருடத்திலிருந்தே பிள்ளைப்பேறு குறித்த கவலை வந்துவிட்டது. மாமியார் மருமகளை குறைகூறி வேதனைப் படுத்த ஆரம்பித்தாள்.

டாக்டர்கள் தம்பதிகளுக்கு குறை ஒன்றுமில்லை என கூறிவிட்டனர். ஜோஸியர்களோ குழந்தை பிறக்கும், பிறக்காது என்று எதையும் உறுதியாக கூறாமல் மழுப்பலாக விட்டுவிட்டனர்.

அப்போது வீட்டிற்கு வந்த பெரியவர் ஒருவர் ‘மஹா பெரியவாளை தரிசனம் செஞ்சி ஆசிபெறலாமே’ என்று யோசனை சொன்னதால் அடுத்த வாரமே காஞ்சிக்கு புறப்பட்டு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா முன்னிலையில் நின்றார்கள்.

“என் தம்பி பேரு சந்தானம்….கல்யாணமாகி ஏழு வருஷமாச்சு….பெரியவா அனுக்ரஹம் வேணும்….சந்ததி உண்டாகணும்” என்று வேங்கடராமன் வேண்டி நின்றார்.

அன்றைய தினம் ஸ்ரீ சர்வேஸ்வரர் மிக மிக சகஜமாக குறும்பு. நகைச்சுவையோடு பேசிக் கொண்டிருப்பதாக பணியாளர்களே ஆச்சரியமாக சொன்னார்கள்.

வேங்கடராமனின் கோரிக்கைக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “நான் மந்திரவாதி இல்லே. ஆரூடம் சொல்றவன் இல்லே…. டாக்டரும் இல்லே… தெய்வக்ஞன் இல்லே! பிரம்மா எழுதியிருக்கிறபடிதான் எல்லாம் நடக்கிறது என்கிறது சாஸ்திரம்… அலைஞ்சதெல்லாம் போதும்…சிவா/ராமான்னு சொல்லிண்டிருங்கோ” என்று அருளியது சற்றே ஏமாற்றமாகத்தான் இருந்தது.

எவ்வளவோ பக்தர்கள் புத்ரபாக்யத்திற்காக மகானை வேண்டியபோது, ஏதோ ஒரு கனியை தன் ஸ்பரிசம் பட கரங்களில் வெகுநேரம் வைத்திருந்து கொடுப்பதையும், வாயார புத்ர பாக்யத்திற்கு ஆசி கூறியதையும் அறிந்திருந்த வேங்கடராமன் அவர்களுக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் இத்தகைய திருவாக்கின் அர்த்தம் தெளிவாகவில்லை.

பிரம்மா, விஷ்ணு, சிவன் என்ற மும்மூர்த்திகளும் தாமேயாக திகழும் எளிய திருஉருவாம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியாளுக்கா பிரம்மன் எழுதினது தெரியாமல் போகும், இனியும் நாற்பதை எட்டியிருந்த சந்தானத்திற்கு புத்ரபாக்யம் இல்லை என்கிற தலை எழுத்தை சொல்லாமல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா, நாமஜபம் செய் என்று அருளுகிறாரோ என்ற சந்தேகத்தோடு அனைவரும் விடை பெற்றனர்.

நாட்கள் நகர்ந்தன. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சிவா ராமான்னு இருக்க சொன்னதை மீறி அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு குழந்தையை சுவீகாரம் செய்துக் கொள்ளலாமென்று இயல்பாக ஆசை மேலிட்டது. புத்ர பாக்யத்திற்காக நடமாடும் தெய்வத்திடம் முறையிட்டவர்கள், அடுத்த திட்டமான தத்து எடுப்பதைப்பற்றி அதே தெய்வத்தின் அனுக்ரஹத்திற்கு முறையிட்டிருக்க வேண்டும். அப்போது அதற்கான உத்தரவு சாதகமாகவோ, அன்றியோ கிடைத்திருக்கலாம்.

ஆனால் ஏனோ தம்பதிகளின் மனதில் அது தோன்றாமல் போனது. ஒரு ஆதரவற்றோர் இல்லத்திலிருந்து முறைப்படி அழகான ஆண் குழந்தையை பெற்றுக் கொண்டு வந்தனர்.

ஆரம்பத்தில் கொழு கொழு வென்றுதான் குழந்தை காஷ்யப் இருந்தான். மாதங்கள் ஒடின. குழந்தைக்கு ஒரு வயதாகியது. அப்தபூர்த்தி முடிந்தது. தள தளவென்று வளர்ந்திருந்த குழந்தைக்கு புது புது வியாதிகள் வரலாயின. மருந்து மாத்திரை என்று குழந்தை குச்சியாக இளைத்துப்போனான்.

இப்படி குழந்தை வியாதியினால் அவஸ்தைப்படுவதைப் பார்த்த தம்பதியினருக்கு மனவேதனை கட்டுக்கடங்காமல் போனது ‘பிள்ளை இல்லாமலேயே இருந்திருக்கலாமே’ என்ற அளவிற்கு விரக்தி மேலிடலாயிற்று.

அந்த சோகத்தின் நடுவே ‘சிவா ராமா’ன்னு இருங்கோ என்று சொன்ன தெய்வத்தின் ஞாபகம் வந்தது.

முறையிட வேறு யார் உளர்?

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் போய் முறையிட்டு, குழந்தையை காட்டினால், அந்த அருட்பார்வையினால் பாலகனின் நோய்கள் பறந்துவிடாதோ என்ற ஆதங்கம் அவர்களை உந்திவிட ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் சந்நிதி முன் நின்றார்கள்.

“நாலு வயசாறது. நடக்கவே வரலே” சந்தானத்தின் மனைவி சுசீலா முறையிட்டு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா முன் அழுதாள்.

சுமார் ஒரு மணிநேரமானது. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா திருவாக்கு மலரவேயில்லை. இவர்கள் அனுக்ரஹத்திற்கு காத்துநிற்க, அந்த காக்கும் கடவுளோ விச்ராந்தி எனும் ஓய்வுக்கு போய்விட்டார். தெய்வ செயலின் அர்த்தம் புரியாமல் இவர்கள் நின்றார்கள்.

“அப்புறமா வாங்கோ” என சிப்பந்திகள் கூறினர். ஆனால் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் பிரசாதம் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளாமல் திரும்ப அவர்கள் மனம் இடம்தரவில்லை.

அன்று அங்கேயே தங்கிவிட்டனர். மறுநாள் காலையில் இரண்டு மணி நேரம் நின்றும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருட்பார்வை கிட்டவில்லை. தம்பதிகள் விடாமல் அன்று மாலை குழந்தை காஷ்யப்புடன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா எதிரே தரிசனத்திற்காக நெருங்கி வந்து கொண்டிருந்த போதே, ஸ்ரீ மகானின் அருள் கிட்டியது.

அவர்களை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கையை சொடுக்கி அழைத்தார் ஜாடையாலேயே ‘குழந்தையை கீழே கிடத்து’  என்று உத்தரவாயிற்று.  குழந்தையை கீழே விட்டவுடன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “இந்த குழந்தைக்கு உடம்பு சரியில்லை; உனக்கு மனசு சரியில்லே…குழந்தையும் பொழைச்சாகனும்…நீயும் நிம்மதியா இருக்கணும்…குழந்தைக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் ஒத்துக்கல்லே…”

இப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னதை கேட்கும்போது எப்படி அனுக்ரஹம் செய்யப் போகிறாரோ என தாயின் மனம் அடித்துக் கொண்டது.

“குழந்தைக்கிட்டே பாசம் இ..ரு..ந்..த..து” என இருந்தது என்பதை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சற்றே இழுத்து சொன்ன போது பாசம் இப்போது குறைந்தது; விரக்கியானதை தெய்வமகான் இவர்களுக்கு சுட்டிகாட்டினார்.

உடனே சற்று தூரத்தில் நின்றுக் கொண்டிருந்த தம்பதியினரை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அழைத்தார். அவர்கள் சற்றே வசதி படைத்தவர்களாக தோற்றமளித்தனர்.

“இவாளுக்கு இந்தக் குழந்தையை ஸ்வீகாரமா கொடுத்துடேன்” என்று குழந்தையின் தலைசுழியை எழுதிய பிரம்மாவான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடமிருந்து பிரச்சனைக்கு வழிவந்தது.

“இவர் எஸ்டேட் ஓனர்! நல்லா வைத்யம் செய்வார்”

சந்தானம் தம்பதியினருக்கு திடுதிப்பென்று வந்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் உத்தரவு சற்றே கலங்க வைத்தாலும், தெய்வத்தின் வாக்கு நல்வழிக்கு தானிருக்கும் என மனதை தேற்றி உடனே குழந்தையை அவர்கள் கையில் தந்தனர்.

காஷ்யப் கை மாறினான்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியாவா பிரசாதம் தராமல் சந்தானம் தம்பதிகளை இரண்டுநாள் காக்க வைத்ததன் காரணம் புரிந்தது.

வீட்டிற்கு வந்தார்கள். மாமியார் பிழிய பிழிய அழுதாள்.

“பெரியவா அப்பவே சொன்னதை நாம புரிஞ்சுக்கல்லே அலைஞ்சதெல்லாம் போரும் ‘சிவா ராமா’ன்னு இருன்னார். நீ போய் அவா உத்தரவு இல்லாம குழந்தையை எடுத்துண்டு வந்தே…சந்ததி பிராப்தி இல்லேங்கிறதை பெரியவா சுட்டிகாட்டினதை நமக்கு புரிஞ்சுக்க தெரியலே” என்று சொல்லி சமாதானமானார்.

இதுவரை விவரித்த அனைத்தும் பழைய கதை.

இப்போது சந்தானத்திற்கு ஷஷ்டியப்தபூர்த்தி அறுபது வயது!

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் ஆசிபெற குடும்பத்தினர் அனைவரும் சென்றனர். இவர்கள் தரிசனம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது இவர்கள் முன்னே ஒரு பையன் பத்து பன்னிரெண்டு வயதிருக்கும், உபநயனம் இப்போது தான் நடந்திருக்குமோ என புது பூணலுடன் கையில் மஞ்சள் சரடு.

பின்னாலிருந்து அவனுடைய அம்மா “டேய்! பரத்வாஜ்” என்று அழைத்தது கேட்டதும் சுசீலா அந்த பெண்மணியை திரும்பிப் பார்த்து ஸ்தம்பித்து நின்றாள். உதட்டோரத்தில் குந்துமணி அளவிற்கு அந்த அம்மாளின் முகத்தில் இருந்த மச்சம் சுசீலாவிற்கு நினைவில் வந்தது.

“நீங்க….நீங்க” என்று தடுமாறி “பையன் காஷ்யப் காஷ்யப்…” என்று பழைய நினைவை சுசீலா கொண்டு வந்தாள்.

“அதோ அவன்தான்! பரத்வாஜ்னு பேரு வைக்கும்படி அப்பவே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உத்தரவு…போன வாரம்தான் உபநயனம் ஆச்சு. ஆமா நீங்க யாரு” என்று அந்த அம்மாள் ஞாபகமில்லாமல் கேட்டாள்.

சுசீலா “நாங்க மெட்ராஸ்…பெரியவாளை தரிசிக்க வந்தோம்” என்று பொதுவாக சொல்லிவிட்டு பெரியவா தரிசனத்திற்கு நகர்ந்தார்கள்.

சுசீலாவிற்கு மெய்சிலிர்த்தது. சுமார் 15 வருடங்கள் முன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா முன்னிலையில் சுவீகாரம் தரப்பட்ட பிள்ளையை அதே பெரியவா என்னும் தெய்வம் கணவரின் 60ம் கல்யாணத்தின் போது அவனது உபநயனத்தில் தங்களுக்கு காட்டியதை என்னென்பது.

சுசீலா ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை நமஸ்கரித்து எழுந்தபோது பிரமித்து நின்றாள். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பிரம்மாவை போல நான்கு முகங்களோடு சுசீலாவுக்கு காட்சி தந்தருளினாராம்.

இந்த அபூர்வமான நிகழ்வு யதேச்சையாகவா நடந்திருக்கும்? உலகோரின் தலை எழுத்தை எல்லாம் எழுதின தெய்வமாம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சன்னதியில் நடந்த இந்த திருநாடகத்தின் அனுபவத்தினை பூர்ணமாக உணர்ந்த சுசீலாவிற்கு அந்த பெரியவா எனும் பிரம்மா, புத்ர பாக்யத்தை தலையில் எழுதாவிட்டாலும், இப்பேற்பட்ட அனுபவ பாக்யத்தை பெறும் பாக்யத்தை பிரம்ம சொரூபமாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளாய் எழுதி அருளிவிட்டார்.

“பிரம்மாவின் மறுபக்கம்“
செல்லய்யா முதலியார் தம்பதிகளுக்கு குழந்தை இல்லை. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் வந்து பிரார்தித்துக் கொண்டனர்.

“ரெண்டு பேரும் பிரதோஷ விரதம் இருங்கோ. அன்னிக்கு சாயங்காலம் பிரதோஷ சிவதரிசனம் பண்ணிட்டு பலகாரம் பண்ணலாம். சுவாமி அபிஷேகத்துக்கு ஒருகுடம் பால் கொடுங்கோ. குடத்தை கோயிலிலேயே வைச்சுட்டு வந்துடுங்கோ….யார் வேணும்னாலும் எடுத்துண்டு போகட்டும்.”

இந்த தம்பதியினருக்கு புத்ர பாக்யம் கிட்ட அதே பெரியவா இப்படி ஒரு ஆக்ஞை இடுகிறார். தம்பதிகள் இதை செய்துவர குழந்தை பாக்யம் கிட்டிவிட்டது. பெயர் வைக்க இந்த பிரம்மாவிடமே வந்து கேட்டனர்.

“நீ குடம் குடமா பாலபிஷேகம் பண்ணியிருக்கே… கும்பத்தினாலே ஈஸ்வரருக்கு அபிஷேகம்! கும்பேஸ்வரன்னு பேர் வை”

சந்தானம் தம்பதியினரிடம் பிரம்மா எழுதினது போலத்தான் எல்லாம் நடக்கிறதென்ற அதே ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள்தான் கும்பேஸ்வரன் பிறவியையும் தோற்றுவித்த பிரம்மாவாக அருளியுள்ளார். இப்பேற்பட்ட கண்கண்ட தெய்வத்திடம் நாம் கொள்ளும் சரணாகதம் நம்மை உய்வித்து நம் உய்வித்து பயன்களை நல்லவைகளாகவே மாற்றி காத்தருளும் என்பது திண்ணமே! ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பக்தி எனும் நல்வழி நமக்கெல்லாம் சகல ஐஸ்வர்யங்களை சர்வமங்களத்தோடு அருளவல்லதாகும்.

“Brahma Swaroopam”

It is evident to all of us that Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava, is an incarnation of Sakshat Parameshwara, through the greatness similar to that of Sukha Brahmarishi.

There are so many incidents where Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava has given darshan to His devotees as Parameshwara, Narayana, Abhirami or Swaminatha, according to devotees’ favorite deities. Among that, this incident by Sri S. Venkataraman is where they had darshan of Sri Periyava as Lord Brahma.

Sri Venkataraman’s younger brother Sri. Santhanam did not have any children even after 7 years of his marriage. After 3 years of their marriage, they started worrying about children. Relatives started questioning them about this issue. All the doctors confirmed that the couple did not have any physical problems. Astrologers were not clear about their predictions.

Then an old man who visited their house told, “Why don’t you have darshan of Sri Maha Periyava and get His blessings.” Based on his suggestion, they went to Kanchipuram the next week itself and stood before Sri Periyava.

“My younger brother’s name is Santhanam. It has been 7 years since he got married. We need Sri Periyava’s blessings. They should get children” pleaded Sri Venkataraman.

On that day, all the assistants were mentioning that Sri Sarveshwarar was talking to everyone cheerfully. For Sri Venkataraman’s plea, Sri Periyava responded, “I am not a magician. I am not an astrologer. I am neither a doctor. It is said in all our sastras that everything happens based on our fate written by Brahma. Do not worry about children anymore. Keep chanting Shiva/Rama”. They felt disappointed while hearing this response.

Sri Venkataraman knew that Sri Periyava has blessed so many couples with puthra bhagyam (children) by just giving them a fruit and blessing them through his divine words for the same, he could not understand the reason why Sri Periyava’s responded that way for his brother.

Wouldn’t Sri Periyava, who is none other than Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, know what Brahma had written as their fate? They all left that place with the thought that Sri Periyava did not explicitly mention that Santhanam, who was 40 years of age by then, does not have any children (in his fate) in that life and instead asked them to keep chanting Nama.

After few days, they desired to adopt a kid, even after Sri Periyava asked them just to keep chanting the Nama. Similar to the plea that they had to Sri Periyava for puthra bhagyam, they should have checked with Sri Periyava for adopting as well. But, it did not strike their mind at that time. They both went to an orphanage and adopted a beautiful boy.

Initially Kashyap was active and healthy. He turned 1 year and they celebrated his birthday. Slowly, he started getting all sorts of ailments. With so much medications, he became so lean. Parents were unable to see the kid suffer with so much illness. They were so dejected that they started thinking “It would have been better even without a kid.”

During this tough period, they remembered Sri Periyava who asked them to keep chanting Shiva/Rama. Who else can they cry to? They went and stood before Sri Periyava with a belief that the kid’s suffering would be cured with just Sri Periyava seeing Him with His eyes.

“He is four years old; he has not started walking” Santhanam’s wife Suseela cried and told to Sri Periyava.

Even after an hour, Sri Periyava did not talk anything. Without responding to their plea, Sri Periyava went inside for vishranthi. They stood there without understanding the reason for Sri Periyava’s action. Assistants told, “come after sometime.” But, they were not ready to leave that place without getting Sri Periyava’s prasadam.

They stayed there that night. Next day morning they stood before Sri Periyava for more than 2 hours. But, Sri Periyava did not even see them. So, they came back again in the evening and Sri Periyava started seeing them.

Sri Periyava gestured towards them and asked to “put the kid down in floor.” Sri Periyava started telling, “this kid is physically ill; you both are mentally tired; kid should also surive; you both want to live peacefully.” On hearing this, Suseela was anxious to hear how Sri Periyava is going to bless them. Sri Periyava continued, “you both used to have affection towards this kid” with a stress on ‘used to have’ and clearly showing them their mental status.

Immediately Sri Periyava called another couple who stood at a distance. They appeared to be a wealthy couple. “Give the kid as sweekaram to this couple” instructed Sri Periyava as a solution to this problem. “He is an estate owner. He can provide good medication to the kid.”

Even though Santhanam and his wife felt disappointed initially on hearing this from Sri Periyava, they realized that it should be for their good and gave the kid to the other couple.

They also realized the reason for Sri Periyava making them wait for two days without blessing them. They returned home and they all were worried.

“We did not understand what Sri Periyava told before. Sri Periyava suggested to keep chanting Shiva/Rama without searching anywhere for a child. Without getting Sri Periyava’s approval, we went and adopted a child. It is our mistake” they realized and calmed themselves.

This is an old story! Now Santhanam is celebrating Shastiabdapoorthi (60 years)!!

Santhanam’s family went to get blessings from Sri Periyava. When they were having darshan, a small boy, who must be around 10-12 years, came before them with a new poonal and yellow thread in his hand, as if he must have had his Upanayanam very recently.

When Suseela heard his mother calling him, “Hey, Bharadwaj!” from behind, she turned and looked at her and was stunned to see her. Suseela remembered her when she saw a mole near her lips.

“You…You”, “kid….Kashyap” saying so, Suseela brought back her memories.

“He is the one! Sri Periyava instructed to name him Bharadwaj! Last week only, we had his upanayanam. You?” that lady responded without recollecting the past.

Suseela responded, “we are from Madras. Came for Sri Periyava’s darshan” and moved away. She got goose bumps when she realized that Sri Periyava blessed her to see the same kid who she gave away 15 years back as sweekaram.

When Suseela stood after prostrating before Sri Periyava, she was shocked to see Sri Periyava as Brahma, with four faces.

Did this incident happen on its own? Even though Sri Periyava did not bless Suseela with a child, she realized that Sri Periyava, Brahma Swaroopa, rewrote her fate by blessing her to experience this divine act of Sri Periyava.

“Another side of Brahma”

Chellayya Mudaliar couple did not have any kids. They came to Sri Periyava and pleaded.

“Both of you observe Pradosha vratham. That evening, during pradosham, have Shiva darshan and then have dinner. For Swami Abishekam, give a pot full of milk. Keep the pot in the temple itself. Whoever wants it can take that pot” told Sri Periyava.

Sri Periyava blessed those couple by giving these instructions. Couple followed those instructions and were blessed with a child. They came to Sri Periyava, Brahma swaroopam, for naming the kid.

“You have performed abishekam with lot of pots (kumbham). Abhishekam to Iswara with kumbham. So, name him Kumbheshwara” told Sri Periyava.
