தன் லிமிடேஷனை எவனும் எப்போதும் உணர வேண்டும். மநுஷ்யராய்ப் பிறந்துவிட்டோம். அதனால் நாம் பல திநுஸில் கட்டுப்பட்டுதான் கிடக்கிறோம். ஆசைகள், ஆஸ்தைகள் பெரிசாய் இருக்கலாம். அவை நல்லதாகவும் இருக்கலாம். லோகத்துக்கு நல்லது பண்ணணும் என்றே ஆர்வமிருந்தாலும் நமக்கும் நம் குடும்பத்துக்கும் செய்தேயாக வேண்டும் என்ற நிர்பந்தம் இருப்பதை உணர்ந்து இந்த ட்யூட்டிக்கு ஹானியில்லாமல்தான் லோக ஸேவை செய்ய வேண்டும். “தன்னைப்பெற்ற தாயார் கிண்ணிப்பிச்சை எடுக்கிறபோது கோதானம் பண்ணினானாம்” என்று சொல்வதுண்டு. முதலில் தன் குடும்பத்தைக் கவனிக்க வேண்டும். தன் சொந்தக் கார்யங்களை ஒருகாலும் பிறத்தியாரிடம் காட்டிக் கொடுக்கவே கூடாது. இதுதான் சாஸ்திரம். அவனவன் தன் வஸ்திரத்தை தானேதான் தோய்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்

We should realize our limitations. As human beings, so many ties bind us. Our desires may be immeasurable. They may be good in nature. Even if the desire to do service to this world motivates us, we should also realize that this service should be carried out without undermining the duties we owe towards the families. There is a saying that that caustically comments about a person who performed Gho Dhaanam (donating a cow) while his mother was wandering with a begging bowl in hand. One’s duties towards the family should never be forgotten. One’s duties should not be thrust upon another person. This is what our sastras dictate.
