மேல்நாட்டு மோஸ்தரில் இங்கேயும் தனி மநுஷ்யனின் குடும்பம் தனக்கே என்று ஆனபிறகு, இங்கேயும் அங்கே மாதிரி ஸமூஹப் பணிகளை இன்ஸ்டிட்யூஷனலைஸ் செய்வதாகவும், ‘Welfare State’ என்பதாக ராஜாங்கமே அநாதையில்லம், வயஸானவர் பென்ஷன் என்றெல்லாம் நடத்துவதுமாக ஆகிவிட்டது. இன்றைய ‘ஸெட் அப்’ பில் இதுவுமில்லாவிட்டால் நிராதரவானவர்களின் பாடு ரொம்பவும் கஷ்டமாகத்தான் ஆகிவிடும். ஆனாலும் பூர்வத்தில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் ‘வஸுதைவ குடும்பகம்’ (லோகம் முழுக்க ஒரு குடும்பம்) என்ற அன்பான எண்ணத்தோடு தாங்களே ஆதரவற்றவர்களைத் தாங்கி தரித்த முறையோடு பார்த்தால் இப்போது ராஜாங்க ரீதியில் ஆபீஸாக ஸமூஹ காரியங்களை நடத்துவது இரண்டாம் பக்ஷம்தான். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
In the Western fashion every individual and his family have become self centred and the result is social service has been institutionalized and the Government has assumed the role of a ‘Welfare Stat’e by running orphanages and providing old age pension. If these measures are not available the plight of the helpless will indeed be miserable these days. But if we recall that in the ancient days the concept of Universal Family (Vasudeiva Kutumbakam) prevailed and every householder lovingly took care of the needy, the current measures are not indeed the ideal ones. –Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal
