அவரவரும் தம் நிலையில் தம் வருமானம், குணம், சரீர வசதி, ஆற்றல் இவைகளுக்கு ஏற்றபடி எவ்விதங்களில் பரோபகாரம் செய்ய முடியுமோ அப்படியெல்லாம் செய்ய வேண்டும். உடம்பிலே எந்த அவயவத்துக்குத் துன்பம் வந்தாலும் கண் அழுகிறது அல்லவா? அதைப்போல், உலகத்தில் எங்கே, யாருக்குத் துன்பம் உண்டானாலும் நாம் மனம் கசிந்து, ஒவ்வொருவரும் நம்மாலான உதவியைச் செய்ய வேண்டியது நம் கடமை. இதில் பெருமைக்காகச் செய்வது எதுவும் இல்லை. பிறத்தியாரின் வற்புறுத்தலுக்காகவும் செய்ய வேண்டியதில்லை. லோகம் முழுக்க பகவத் ஸ்வரூபம் என்று மனஸில் வாங்கிக் கொண்டால், தன்னால், ஸ்வபாவமாக, பிறர் துயரத்தை நிவ்ருத்தி செய்வதில் ஈடுபடுவோம். இதிலே நமக்கு ச்ரமம் வந்தால்கூட, அது ச்ரமமாகவே தெரியாது. எத்தனை த்யாகம் செய்தாலும் அதுவே பரமானந்தமாக இருக்கும். இப்படி த்யாகம் பண்ணுவதற்கு எல்லையே இல்லை. உபகரிக்கப்பட்டவன் முகத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி தவழப் பார்க்கிறோமே, அந்த ஆனந்தத்துக்கு எத்தனை த்யாகமும் ஈடாகாது என்றுதான் தோன்றும். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்

We should perform acts of philanthropy according to our income, personal quality, physical abilitities, and skill. The eyes shed tears whenever any part of the body is affected. Similarly, whenever any person is affected in this world, it is our duty to lend him a helping hand in whatever way possible by us. It should not be done to boost our ego or due to the compulsion of others. If we realize that the entire world is a manifestation of Bhagawan, we will automatically and habitually involve ourselves in mitigating the sorrows of others. Any hardship we may have to face in this process will not seem like one. Any sacrifice we may have to do will only give us immeasurable happiness. There is no limit to such sacrifices.
