3D Periyava cutout

Thanks to Smt Yogitha for sharing this in FB. I dont know if it is just me or others also see the same way – this cutout naturally looks 3D and also the dhanda vastram, jasmine flower are all standing out – almost looks like you can touch them with your hand..Do you all see the same way too???..

Couldn’t resist sharing….I will be interested in knowing where this Periyava is and who made it etc…

Hara Hara Sankara Jaya Jaya Sankara!

  1. I would be grateful to anyone guiding me to giving me the lead-source for obtaining 3D portraits of mahaperiva. With your help, I would be a fortunate one to get such portraits for distribution to my deserving folks and also carry one (visit card size) portrait of mahaperiva always with me in the wallet. Kindly guide me with your response to jayingmr@gmail.com

  2. While I agree there is 3D effect but black colour to periyava is not appropriate because periyava is red colour.
    Lax man.

  3. Sri Mahaperiyavaa Charanam, It seems that the picture is carved on wood and the same is coloured approprirately hence it is a 3D figure. The flower garland is placed aptly & Dhandam too.

    Pranams.

  4. Sri Mahesh, you are right. It is life-like. All the three — dandam, its vastram and the jasmine garland appear to be pumped with more life. One feels one can touch and feel it! [Perhaps smell the Jasmine too!]
