ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் மகிமை (11-11-2007)

“ஆசாரம் தான் முக்கியம்”

பரம கருணையோடு அந்த பரமேஸ்வரரே நம்மிடையே பிரம்மரிஷியாம் சுகமுனிவரின் மேன்மையோடு ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளெனும் திரு அவதாரமாக அருள்பாலித்து காத்தருளுகிறார்.

கும்பகோணம் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கராஜாச்சாரியார் என்ற வைணவ அன்பரை 1968-ம் ஆண்டு ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளெனும் ஜோதி சொரூபம் ஆட்கொண்டது.

1971-ல் ரிக்வேதம் பயின்றதும் வைதீக தொழிலில் தன் ஜீவனத்தை மேற்கொள்ளலாமென்று அவர் நினைத்தபோது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அதற்கு உத்தரவை நல்கவில்லை.

“நீ மேற்கொண்டு வேதங்கள் படிக்க உபகாரம் செய்யச் சொல்கிறேன். மேலே படி” என்று அன்பு கட்டளையோடு மாதந்தோறும் அவர் குடும்பம் நடத்த இருநூறு ரூபாயையும் இவர் ஆகாரம் செய்ய சகல வசதியும் செய்து கொடுத்து, சுயம்பாகமாக அவருக்கு வேண்டிய ஆகாரத்தை அவரே சமைத்து சாப்பிடும் உயர்ந்த நியமமான வழக்கத்துக்கும் வகை செய்து பரம கருணையை பொழிந்தார்.

ரங்கராஜாச்சாரியாரின் குடும்பமோ பெரியது. இவருடைய சகோதரிகள் விவாகம் யாவும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் காருண்யத்தாலேயே நடந்தேறியது.

ஒரு சமயம் பண்டரிபுரத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை இவர் தரிசித்து நமஸ்கரித்தார். அப்போது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “எனக்கு நீ நமஸ்காரம் செய்யலாமா?” என்று ஏனோ கேட்டிருக்கிறார்.

அதற்கு இவரோ “நான் எங்கள் சம்பிரதாய பிரகாரம் யக்ஞஉபவீதம், சிகை இல்லாத சந்நியாசியை தரிசித்தாலே ஸ்நானம் செய்யனும்னு இருக்கு” என்றார்.

“அப்போ ஏன் நமஸ்காரம் செய்யறே” என்றார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

“சாட்சாத் விஷ்ணு அம்சம்தான் இந்த ஜோதி சொரூபம்னு எனக்கு தோன்றது” என்று தன் வைணவ பார்வைக்கு ஈஸ்வரரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருளிய தரிசனத்தை மெய்சிலிர்ப்போடு கூறி மகிழ்ந்தார்.

இப்பேற்பட்ட வைணவ பக்தரின் வாழ்வில் ஒரு மகத்தான அதிசயத்தை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அருள் நிகழ்த்தியுள்ளது.

இவருடையதோ மிகவும் ஏழ்மையான குடும்பம். குடும்ப அங்கத்தினர்களுக்கேற்ற வருமானமில்லாமல் வறுமை! கூடவே பல சகோதரிகளின் விவாகங்கள் வேறு நடந்தேற பணம் இன்றியமையாத தேவையாயிருந்தது. இப்பேற்பட்ட வறுமை நிலையில் இவருக்கு ஒரு அறிய வாய்ப்பு கிட்டியது. 1978-ல் வேதங்கள் யாவையும் பயின்றவராய் இவர் மேற்கொண்டு சில வேத அமசங்களை வாசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தபோது ஜெர்மனிக்கு இவரை வரச்சொல்லி ஒருவர் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.

பணத்தேவை மிகவும் முக்கியமான காலகட்டத்தில் இவருடைய பெரிய குடும்பம் காத்திருந்தபோது, அயல் தேசமான ஜெர்மனிக்கு சென்றால் மாதாமாதம் மூவாயிரம் வருமானத்தில் ஒரு ஏற்பாடு கிடைப்பதென்பதை யாரால்தான் விடமுடியும்? மேலும் அதோடு நிற்காமல் இவர் மூன்று வருடம் கழித்து திரும்பிவரும் போது மாத சம்பாத்யம் மூவாயிரத்தில் மீறும் பணத்தோடு கூட மூன்று லட்ச பணமும் தருவதாக யாருக்கும் அந்த நிலையில் நினைத்துக்கூட பார்க்க முடியாத பெரிய அதிர்ஷ்டமான வாய்ப்பல்லவா இது! இந்நிலையில் இந்த ஏற்பாட்டிற்கு ரங்கராஜாசாரியார் ஒப்புக் கொண்டதில் எந்த வியப்புமில்லை.

“நீங்களே எல்லா ஏற்பாடுகளையும் செஞ்சுடுங்கோ” என்று இவர் ஏற்பாடு செய்தவரிடம் கூறிவிட்டார். அவரும் அயல்நாட்டிற்கு போகும் முறைக்கான தகுந்தவைகளை செய்ய தொடங்கியாயிற்று. சகல ஏற்பாடுகளையும் முடித்துவிட்டு பம்பாயிலிருந்து அந்த அக்டோபர் 31-ம் தேதி புறப்பட்டாக வேண்டுமென்றும் முடிவாகிவிட்டது.

இத்தனை நடந்திருந்தும் இவைகளைப் பற்றி இதுவரை ரங்கராஜாசாரியார் யாரிடமும் தெரிவிக்கவில்லை. அந்த 27-ம் தேதி இதைப்பற்றி தன் தகப்பனாரிடம் சொல்வதற்காக இவர் கிராமத்திற்கு சென்று அவரிடம் கூறினார்.

“ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாகிட்டே உத்தரவு வாங்கிட்டயோ” தந்தை சொல் மந்திரமாய் கேள்வி எழுந்தது.

“இல்லே….பெரியவாகிட்டே சொன்னா உத்தரவு கொடுப்பாளோ என்னவோன்னு சந்தேகமாயிருக்கு. அப்படி உத்தரவு கிடைக்கலேன்னா இத்தனை சம்பாத்தியம் கிடைக்கிறதை விட்டுட மனசு கேட்காது…அதனாலே நானா முடிவு செஞ்சுண்டு கிளம்பறேன்…நமக்கோ பணம் தேவைபடறது வேற வழியில்லே” என்றார் இவர்.

அன்றிரவு கிராமத்திலேயே தங்கினார். இரவு மூன்றுமணி சுமாருக்கு மன உளைச்சலில் தூக்கம் வராமல் அரைகுறையாக புரண்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

அப்போது ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவா அங்கு திடீரென்று திருகாட்சியருளியதாக ஒரு அரிய அனுபவம் ஏற்பட்டது. தன்னெதிரே தோன்றிய மகான் மெல்ல இவரிடம் வந்து மிக வாஞ்சையோடு இவரை வருடிக் கொடுப்பதாக உணர்ந்தார். ஒரு தாயின் அன்போடு இவரை தடவிக் கொடுத்த தாயுமானவரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா “நீ போகத்தான் போறாயா?” என்று ஏக்கத்தோடு கேட்பதாகவும் இவருக்கு தோன்றியது. அது முழுமையான கனவுமில்லாமல், முழுமையான நினவாகவுமில்லாமல் தெரிந்ததில் இவருக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா எதையோ உத்தரவு செய்வதுபோல நிச்சயமாக புரிந்தது.

மேலும் தாமதிக்காமல் மறுதினமே ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் உத்தரவு வாங்க கிளம்பிவிட்டார்.

அப்போது கர்நாடகாவில் பதாமி என்ற நகரத்தில் ஒரு கிராமமான வனசங்கரி என்ற கிராமத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருள்பாலித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.

அந்த கிராமத்திற்கு சென்றவர் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் தரிசனத்திற்கு முன் அங்கே ஸ்நானம் செய்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது கைங்கரியம் செய்யும் அன்பர் ஒருவர் “உன்னை பெரியவா வரச்சொல்லி உத்தரவு” என்றார்.

தான் அங்கு வந்திருப்பதையோ, வந்திருக்கும் நோக்கமோ யாரிடமும் தெரிவிக்காத நிலையில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இவரை வரச்சொன்னதாக கூறியதில் இவருக்கு பெரும் ஆச்சர்யம். அந்த ஆச்சர்யம் நீங்காதவராய் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் சர்வக்ஞரிடம் இவர் போய் நின்று தரிசித்தார்.

“எப்போ கிளம்பப் போறே” என்றார் பெரியவா. “ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உத்தரவு ஆனதும்” என்று இவர் அந்த தரிசனத்திற்கு பிறகு அந்த ஊரைவிட்டு கிளம்புவதைதான் பெரியவா கேட்பதாக எண்ணி பதிலளித்தார்.

“நீ ஊருக்கு போறதை கேட்கலே, வெளிதேசம் போகணும்னு ஏற்பாடு செய்துண்டிருக்கியே…அதைத்தான் எப்போன்னு கேட்டேன்” இப்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கேட்டபோது இவருக்கு மிகவும் அதிர்ச்சியாயிருந்தது.

அந்த அதிர்ச்சியிலிருந்து மீண்டு வருவதற்குள் அன்பரை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா மேலும் ஒரு பெரும் அதிசயத்தில் ஆழ்த்துவது போல திருவாய் மலர ஆரம்பித்தார்.

“நீ இங்கு வந்த காரணத்தை சொல்லட்டுமா? முந்தாநாள் நான் உன்னை தடவிக்கொடுத்து ‘என்னைவிட்டு போகிறாயா’ன்னு கேட்டேன் இல்லையா? அதனாலதான் போகும்போது பார்த்துட்டு போலாம்னு வந்திருக்கே இல்லையா?”

எப்பேற்பட்ட மாபெரும் அதிசயத்தை சர்வ சாதாரணமாக ஈஸ்வரர் கேட்கிறார் என்று பக்தருக்கு வார்த்தைகளால் இயம்பிடமுடியாத பிரமிப்பானது.

சர்வ லோகத்திலும் வியாபித்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் அருள் தன்னை கிராமத்திற்கே வந்து ஆட்கொண்டது. பிரம்மையல்ல என்பதையும், எப்பேற்பட்ட கருணை பெருக்கெடுப்பாய் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் மாமனம் தானே வலியவந்து ஆட்கொண்டருளியுள்ளதே என்றெல்லாம் நினைத்து பக்தர் அந்த அன்பில் அகப்பட்டவராய் கண்ணீர் மல்க சாஷ்டாங்கமாக நமஸ்கரித்தார்.

“உன் ஆசாரத்தை விடாமல் இரு…பணம் வேண்டாம், ஆசாரம்தான் முக்கியம்” என்றபடி தன் பாத கமலங்களை பக்தரின் தலைகளில் வைத்து பூர்ணமான அனுக்கிரஹத்தை பொழிந்தனுப்பினார்.

இப்படி ஒரு ஆசாரசீலர் அயல்நாடு போவதில் ஏற்படக்கூடிய தூய்மைக்கேட்டை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தடுத்தாண்டு கொண்டவிதம் அசாதாரணமானதல்லவா? தர்ம தேவதையான திருஉருதான் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா என்பதை தர்மவழி வழுவாமல் தன் பக்தர்களையும் காப்பாற்றும் பேரருள் தெளிவாக்குகிறதல்லவா!!

வேண்டியவாறு அருளும் வேதமூர்த்தி

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கொல்லகோடு என்ற ஊரில் முகாமிட்டிருந்த சமயம். ஒரு வேதத்திற்கான ஆய்வு சபையை கூட்டியிருந்தார். விஷ்ணுபுரம் வேதபண்டிதர் ஒருவரும் அந்த சபைக்காக அங்கே அழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்.

ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அன்பு கட்டளையின்படி காபி என்பது தவிர்க்கப்பட்ட பானமாகியிருந்தது. உடலின் நன்மைக்காகவும் மற்றும் ஏதோ ஒரு தெய்வ சூட்சமம் அறிந்ததாலோ என்னவோ மடத்து சிப்பந்திகளையும் காபியை தயாரிப்பதையோ அருந்துவதையோ மிகவும் கடுமையான நியமனமாக ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் கடைபிடிக்கச் செய்திருக்கிறார்.

இருப்பினும் எப்படியோ இந்த காப்பி பழக்கத்தில் ஆட்கொண்டவர்களுக்கு அந்த நேரத்தில் கிடைக்காது போனால் தாங்க முடியாத தாபம் ஏற்படுவதுண்டு.

இதே நிலையில்தான் விஷ்ணுபுரம் வயதான பெரியவரும் அந்த அதிகாலை காப்பிக்காக ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் தவித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது யாரோ ஒரு அன்பர் அவரை மட்டும் தனியாக வெளியில் அழைத்தார். எதற்கென்று புரியாமல் முதியவர் வெளியே போனபோது இவர் கேட்காமலேயே சூடாக காப்பியை கொண்டுவந்து அந்த அன்பர் கொடுக்கவே, இவருக்கு உயிரே வந்தாற்போல உற்சாகம்!

சிறிது நேரத்தில் வேதசபை கூடியாயிற்று. ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சபைக்கு வந்ததும் மகானை நமஸ்கரித்துவிட்டு இந்த தாத்தா அருகில் சென்றார். “என்ன காப்பி சாப்டாச்சா?” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தனக்கே உரிய தெய்வீக புன்சிரிப்போடு கேட்டதும் இவர் ஆடிப்போய்விட்டார். யாருக்கும் தெரியாதென்று மடத்தின் நியமனத்திற்கு மாறாக காப்பி குடித்ததை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளெனும் தெய்வம் தவறை சுட்டிக்காட்டுவது போல் கேட்கிறாரே என்று லேசாக பயம் ஏற்பட்டது.

“வந்து… வந்து… ஏதோ கொடுத்தான்” என்று பட்டும்படாமலும் பளிச்சென்று சொல்லாமல் குற்ற உணர்வோடு இழுத்தார்.

“நான் தான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கச் சொன்னேன்” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சொன்னபோது இந்த எதிர்பாராத கரிசனத்தை அறிந்த முதிய பண்டிதர் ஆடிப்போய்விட்டார்.

இப்படி வேண்டியது வேண்டியவாறு எல்லோர்க்கும் அருளும் மாபெரும் தெய்வமான ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளிடம் நாம் அடையும் சரணாகதம், நம்மை சகல சௌபாக்கியங்களையும், சர்வ மங்களங்களையும் வாரி வழங்கி ஆட்கொள்ளும் என்பது சத்தியமல்லவா.

“Cleanliness (Aacharam)  is very important”

Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava, an incarnation of grace personified Sri Parameshwara and as superior as Sukha Brahma Rishi, is blessing all of us.

In 1968, Kumbakonam Sri Rangarajachariar was surrounded by Sri Sri Sri Mahaperiyava’s blessings. In 1971, after finishing Rig Veda learning, when he thought of practicing Vaidhikam to survive, Sri Periyava did not grant His permission.

“I will make arrangements for you to continue your vedic studies. Continue learning” told Sri Periyava and also showered His grace by arranging two hundred rupees every month for his family and also ensured that all the necessary items are available for Sri Rangarajachariar to cook his own food. Rangarajachariar’s family was very big. All his sisters’ wedding happened only because of Sri Periyava’s grace.

Once he had darshan of Sri Periyava and prostrated when His Holiness was camping in Pandaripur. Then, Sri Periyava asked, “Can you do prostrations for me?”

Rangarajachariar responded, “According to our tradition, if we see a sanyasi who does not have yagnopaveetham (sacred thread) and tuft (shikai) in their head, we need to take bath”

“If so, why are you prostrating before me” asked Sri Periyava.

“I feel that this swaroopa is nothing but Vishnu swaroopa” he told with so much devotion. In the life of this vaishanavite devotee, happened a miracle due to Sri Periyava’s grace. Rangarajachariar’s family was very poor and they were not getting enough income to take care of all the family members. They also needed money for sisters’ wedding. At this situation, he got a unique opportunity. When he finished his vedic studies in 1978 and he was about to start learning more, someone asked him to come to Germany. When his family was in dire need of money, who would not want to accept this opportunity to go to Germany, which would yield them Rs. 3000 every month? Along with this money, he would also get Rs. 3 lakhs at the end of 3 years tenure. It is no surprise that Rangarajachariar accepted this opportunity.

“Please take care of all the arrangements” told Rangarajachariar to the person who came up with the request. That person also started all the arrangements for a foreign visit. It was decided that Rangarajachariar has to start on October 31^st that year from Bombay. Even though all these happened, Rangarajachariar did not inform anyone about it. But on October 27^th, he went to his village to inform his father about this.

“Did you get permission from Sri Periyava” asked his father. “No, I have doubts if Sri Periyava would give His permissions. If He does not permit, I cannot accept losing this opportunity which would help us so much money as salary. So, I decided myself to start. We also need money and I do not see any other way” told Rangarajachariar.

He stayed in his village that night. Around 3am, he was just rolling in his bed without getting sleep. Then, he experienced as if Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava appeared before him. He also felt like Sri Periyava came near and touched him. Also, like his mother, he felt that Sri Periyava asked, “Have you decided to go?” Even though he could not realize if it is a dream or reality, he thought that Sri Periyava was giving him some instructions. Without delaying, he went to Sri Sri Sri Periyava the next day itself to get His permission.

At that time, Sri Periyava was camping and blessing in a village named Vanashankari in Badami, Karnataka. After he reached that village, before having Sri Periyava’s darshan, he was taking bath. Then, one of Sri Periyava’s assistants came and told, “Sri Periyava has ordered you to come and see Him”.

Rangarajachariar was so surprised that Sri Periyava was calling him because he did not tell anyone about his visit or the reason for his visit. With that surprise, he went and stood before Sri Periyava.

“When are you starting?” asked Sri Periyava. “When Sri Periyava gives His permission” he answered thinking Sri Periyava is asking when he is going return back after darshan.

When Sri Periyava told “I am not asking about your return to your place. You are making arrangements to go to a foreign country. I am asking when that is?” he was shocked. Even before he could come out of that shock and surprise, Sri Periyava continued to give more surprises.

“Shall I tell the reason for your visit? Day before yesterday, I came and asked you, “Have you decided to go?” So, you came here before leaving to foreign country. Isn’t it?”

Rangarajachariar could not control his emotions when he learnt that it was not a dream when he had a feeling that Sri Periyava appeared before him and also blessed him.

“Continue your good conduct…no need of money…good conduct is very important” told Sri Periyava, also kept His lotus feet on the devotee’s head and showered His grace.

Isn’t it amazing that Sri Periyava stopped a person from going to a foreign country? It is indeed very clear that Sri Periyava, personification of Dharma is protecting all His devotees in treading the dharma path.

“Vedamoorthy who showers His grace according to one’s need”

It was during the time when Sri Periyava was camping in a place called Kollakkodu. He had arranged a sabha to do a research on vedic concepts. A Veda Pandit from Vishnupuram was also invited for that sabha.

In Sri Matam, coffee was a banned drink, based on Sri Periyava’s orders. Because of the ill effects to health and also for a different spiritual reason, Sri Periyava had clearly told everyone including the servants that coffee should be avoided. But, for someone, who had practiced drinking coffee regularly, would feel that they are missing something, if they don’t get coffee.

Similar situation happened on that early morning for Vishnupuram pandit as he did not get coffee. Then, someone called him separately to come out. When he went without knowing the reason, that person gave him hot coffee that made pandit so happy.

After few minutes, veda sabha started. Sri Periyava came to the sabha, went near this pandit and asked with a smile, “Did you drink coffee?” Pandit was stunned. He became afraid that Sri Periyava came to know about this when he thought that nobody knew about it.

He stuttered and told, “Someone gave” with a guilty feeling.

“I only asked to give you” told Sri Periyava and the pandit was astonished to understand the way Sri Periyava treated and took care of him.

Like this, if we surrender to Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava, who blesses the way each devotee wants, is it not true that it would grant us all prosperity, wealth and engulf with His grace.

Grace will continue to flow. (paaduvar pasi theerppai paravuvaar pinikalaivaai)
