செத்துப்போனபின் ஒரு உடம்புக்குள் தேவதாம்சங்கள் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பதாக நம்பாவிட்டாலுங்கூட ஒன்றை நினைத்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டும். இத்தனை நாள் அதற்குள் இருந்த ஜீவன் ஈஸ்வர சைதன்யத்தின் ஒரு திவலை அல்லவா? எப்போதோ ஸ்வாமி விக்ரஹம் வைத்த புறை என்றால்கூட, இப்போதும் அதில் கண்ட கண்டதுகளை வைக்காமல் ஒரு அகலை ஏற்றி வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று தானே தோன்றுகிறது? அப்படியிருக்க ஈஸ்வர சைதன்யத்தின் அம்சம் இருந்த body-ஐ மரியாதை தந்து மந்த்ரபூர்வமாகதானே dispose செய்ய வேண்டும்? – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Even if one does not believe that remnants of divine elements continue to remain in the body after death, we should recall one thing. The soul which had inhabited this body all these days is a part of the Ultimate Divine Force. We continue to accord respect even to an empty niche which had earlier housed the deity of Bhagawan. We light a lamp there and do not keep unnecessary objects in it.
