யோசித்துப் பார்த்தால், சரீரத்தை ஏன் மட்டம் என்று திட்ட வேண்டும்? அது என்ன பண்ணுகிறது? அது மனஸின் கருவி மட்டும்தானே? கையையும் காலையும் கண்ணையும் வாயையும் மனஸ் நல்லபடி ஏவினால் சரீரம் நல்லதே செய்யும். கை பரோபகாரம் பண்ணும்; அல்லது அர்ச்சனை பண்ணும். கால் கோயிலுக்குப் போகும். கண் ஸ்வாமி தர்சனம் பண்ணும், வாய் ஸ்தோத்ரம் சொல்லும், அல்லது எல்லோருக்கும் ப்ரிய வசனம் சொல்லும். ஆனதால் ‘நிஷித்தம்’ என்று சரீரத்தைக் திட்டுவதுகூட தப்புத்தான். ”தர்மத்தைச் செய்ய சரீரம்தானே ஸாதனமாயிருக்கிறது. ஆனதால் இப்படிப்பட்ட அற்புதமான, பகவான் கொடுத்த மெஷினை விட்டு உயிர் போனதும் அதைக் கன்னாபின்னா என்று ‘டிஸ்போஸ்’ பண்ணக்கூடாதுதான். மஹாச்மாசானவாஸியான பரமேஸ்வரனுக்குத்தான் அதை ஆஹூதி பண்ண வேண்டும். எவன் இந்த உடம்பைக் கொடுத்தானோ அவனுக்கே அதைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். உலகத்தில் எந்த தேசத்திலுமுள்ள காட்டுக்குடிகள் உள்பட எல்லோரும் ஏதோ ஒரு தினுஸில் இதைத்தெரிந்து கொண்டிருப்பதால்தான் எங்கே பார்த்தாலும் ப்ரேத ஸம்ஸ்காரம் என்பது ஒரு பெரிய ஸமயச் சடங்காக இருக்கிறது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
On deep thought, why should we condemn the human body? What does it do? It is only an instrument of the mind. When the different parts of the body like hands, legs, eyes and mouth are directed in the right manner by the mind, only good things will be done by the body. The hand will worship Bhagawan or do service to the others; feet will go to the temple; eyes will have darshan of Bhagawan and the mouth will sing His praise and be kind to the others. So there is no point in being contemptuous about the body. The body becomes an instrument to perform good and charitable things. So, this wonderful gift of Bhagawan should be treated properly even after death. It should be disposed of properly. It should be submitted humbly at the feet of Parameswara, the Dweller of the Cremation Ghats. The body should be returned to Him as he was the one who gave it to us.
