‘நாம் எப்படி வாழ்கிறோமோ அப்படியே மற்றவர்களும் வாழ வேண்டும்’ என்று நினைப்பது உத்தமமான எண்ணம். ஆனால் எண்ணம் உத்தமமாயிருந்து விட்டால் போதுமா? நாம் டாம்பீகமாக வாழ்க்கை நடத்திக் கொண்டு மற்றவர்களும் அப்படி இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று ஆசைப்பட்டால் அது நடக்குமா? அப்படியே நடந்து, அமெரிக்கா மாதிரி எல்லாரும் ‘லக்ஷுரியஸாக’ (Luxury) வாழ முடிந்தாலும் அது நல்லதுதானா? லௌகிகமான ஸெளக்யங்கள் ஜாஸ்திஆக ஆக ஆத்மாபிவிருத்திக்கே வழியில்லாமல்தானே ஆகியிருக்கிறது? – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
It is indeed a noble thought to desire that others should live as we live. But is that enough? If we live extravagantly and desire that others should do so, is it possible? Even if it becomes possible and the majority are able able to live luxuriously as in America, is it desirable?
