வாயினால் உன்னைப் பரவிடும் அடியேன் படுதுயர் களைவாய் பாசுபதா பரஞ்சுடரே!

“தெய்வமின்றி வேறு யார்?”

ஜகத்குருவாய் சாட்சாத் சங்கரரே ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளெனும் திருஉரு கொண்டு அவதரித்திருக்கையில் அவர்தம் மேன்மை சுகபிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் உயர்வுடையதாகுமென்று சொல்லுதல் தேவையில்லை.

தன் குறைகளை ஸ்ரீ மகானிடம் முறையிட வேண்டுமென்று மனதில் தோன்றுவதே ஒரு பக்தரின் பெரும்பாக்கியமாகும் போது, அப்படி அந்த பக்தர் சாட்சாத் கைலாசபதியாம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை தரிசித்து அக்குறைகளை முறையிடாத போதே அவையாவும் இருந்த இடம் தெரியாமல் அகன்று விடுமென்பது உண்மையன்றோ.

ஒரு முறை ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தன் யாத்திரையின் போது சாலையோர மண்டபம் ஒன்றில் அருளிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். பிரச்சனைகளோடு தஞ்சையிலிருந்து ஒரு பக்தர் மகானை தரிசிக்க வந்து நின்றார்.

“என் பெயர் கல்யாணம், சுங்கவரித்துறையில் மேல் முறையீட்டு மன்றத்தில் நடுவராகவுள்ளேன், என் குடும்பத்தில் நிறைய பிரச்சனைகள், மன அமைதியே இல்லை. பெரியவர்தான் தீர்த்து வைக்கணும் அதுக்குதான் தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தேன்” என்று மனமுருக வேண்டினார்.

கருணையுள்ளம் மேலும் கரைந்தது. உலகோரின் எல்லா துன்பங்களையும் துடைக்க காத்துநிற்கும் பரம்பொருள் அவரை உட்காரவைத்து குறைகளை கேட்டார். பின்பு இரு கரங்களையும் உயர்த்தி ஆசீர்வதித்து அருகிலிருந்த பழம் எடுத்துத் தந்து வழியனுப்பினார்.

ஈஸ்வரரின் கிருபை பெருக்கெடுத்தோடிட தொடங்கலாயிற்று. பக்தரின் வாழ்வில் வசந்தம் வரலானது. சிக்கல்கள் தீர்ந்து அமைதி திரும்பியது. இரண்டு வருடங்களில் பக்தரின் பிரச்சனைகள் யாவும் தீர்ந்து குடும்பம் மகிழ்ச்சி கண்டது. நடமாடும் நாயகனுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்க பக்தர் மீண்டும் வந்தார்.

“பெரியவா அருளால் குடும்பத்திலே அமைதி உண்டாயிற்று. ஸ்ரீ மடத்துக்கு காணிக்கையாக ஏதாவது நான் தரணும்னு தோன்றது. பெரியவா உத்தரவு எதிர்பார்க்கின்றேன்” என்றார்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா திருவதனத்தில் புன்னகை உதிர்த்தார். “இப்பொழுது எதுவும் தரவேண்டாம்” என்று பக்தரிடம் சொல்லியனுப்பினார்.

பக்தருக்கு மனதிருப்தி ஏற்படவில்லை. அரைகுறை மனதோடு திரும்பினார். காலங்கள் பல கடந்து விட்டன.

தில்லை பெருமானுக்கு மஹாகும்பாபிஷேக ஏற்பாடுகள் நடந்துக் கொண்டிருந்த சமயம். ஒரு நாள் காலை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா ஸ்ரீ மடத்து கார்யம் திரு. கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி மற்றும் திரு. ஜெயசெந்தில்நாதன் இருவரையும் அழைத்துவருமாறு சொன்னார். இருவரும் வந்து நின்றனர்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா மேனாவிலிருந்தபடியே அவர்களிடம் பேசலானார். தில்லை பெருமானின் கும்பாபிஷேக காலத்தில் இன்னென்ன ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யலாமென்பது பற்றி பெரியவா திருவாக்கருளிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். கும்பாபிஷேக சமயத்தில் திருமுறை இசை, திருமுறை கருத்தரங்கம், திருவாசகம் ஒப்புவித்தல், தீட்சதர் குழந்தைகள் சம்பு நடன ஸ்தோத்திரம் ஒப்புவித்தல் முதலிய அம்சங்கள் விழாவில் இருக்க வேண்டுமென்றும், அதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளை அந்த இருவரையும் செய்யுமாறு உத்தரவானது.

அப்போது அங்கு ஒரு பக்தர் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தரிசனத்திற்கு வந்து நின்றார். பல வருடங்களுக்கு முன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை தரிசிக்க வந்து, தன் குடும்ப சிக்கல்களை கூறி பின் அவைகள் நீங்க பெற்ற கல்யாணம் தான் அங்கு வந்து நின்றவர்.

அவரை அந்த இருவருடனும் உட்காரும்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அருளினார். தில்லை கும்பாபிஷேக ஏற்பாடுகளைப் பற்றி இவரிடமும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கூறும்படியாக சூழ்நிலை அமையலாயிற்று.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கல்யாணத்தைப் பார்த்து, முன்பு பல வருடங்களுக்கு முன் இந்த இடத்தில் இந்த நாளில் தன்னை அவர் பார்க்க வந்தது நினைவிருக்கிறதா என்று கேட்க, கல்யாணம் அப்படியே ஸ்தம்பித்து நின்றார்.

கல்யாணம் அவர்களுக்கு சரியாக நினைவில்லை போலும். அதிர்ந்து நின்றவரிடம் மீண்டும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த நாளை நினைவூட்டினார். ஒருவாறு நினைவு பெற்றவராய் இவர் தலை ஆட்டினார்.

“இப்போ ஞாபகம் வருதா…நீ நன்னா இருக்கியா? அன்னிக்கு நீ மடத்துக்கு ஏதோ பணம் கொடுக்கணும்னு ஆசை படறதா சொன்னியே…அதை இப்போ தரலாமா?” சரியான நினைவு கூறும் வகையில் எப்போதோ பக்தர் கொடுத்த வாக்கை தெய்வம் கேட்டு நிற்க, கல்யாணம் அவர்களுக்கு துல்லியமாக எல்லாம் ஞாபகத்திற்கு வந்துவிட்டது.

“அவசியம் தருகிறேன் தடையில்லை” என்றார் அவர்.

“அந்த பணம் மடத்துக்கு வேண்டாம். தில்லை நடராஜருக்கு கும்பாபிஷேகம் அங்கு என்னவெல்லாம் செய்யணும்னு இவாளிடம் சொல்லி இருக்கேன். அதையெல்லாம் அந்த பணத்தை வைச்சுண்டு செய்து கொடு. அந்த பணம் நடராஜாவுக்கு போகட்டும். இவாளோடு போய் பேசு” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உத்தரவிட்டு அனுப்பினார்.

எப்போதோ பக்தன் கொடுக்கிறேன் என்பதை பல வருடங்களுக்கு பின் அந்த பணம் எதற்கு தேவைப்படும் என்பதை அறிந்தே ஈஸ்வரரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் அதை அத்திருப்பணிக்கே சேர அருள்பாலித்த மகிமையை திரு கல்யாணம் உணர்ந்து பிரமிப்படைவதாக சொல்கிறார்.

சாட்சாத் தெய்வமின்றி வேறு யாருக்கு இது சாத்தியம் என்பது இவர் உணர்ந்திருக்கக் கூடும்.

அறிவோம் அவனை! ஹரியும் அவனே!

இப்படி வரப்போவதை அறிந்த ஞானிக்கு ஏற்கனவே எங்கோ நிகழ்ந்ததை அறியாமலா விட்டுப் போகும்.

“சாட்சாத் வேங்கடாசல பெருமானே தரிசனம் கொடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்க திருப்பதிக்கு பாத யாத்திரை போறேன்னு அவர்கிட்டையே உத்தரவு கேட்க போறேன்னு வந்திருக்கியே…நீ என்ன அசடா” ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா கேட்பது போலவே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அணுக்க தொண்டர் ஒருவர் சந்திரமோகன் என்பவரைப் பார்த்து கேடடார்.

ஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் பெரியவா பக்தி எனும் காட்டாற்று வெள்ளத்தில் அடித்து கொண்டு வந்த பல துரும்புகளில் ஒருவராய் சந்திரமோகன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தரிசனத்திற்கு அடிக்கடி வரும் பெரும் பாக்கியசாலிகளுள் ஒருவராய் இருந்தார். மோகன் அவர்களின் மனைவி அரசாங்க மருத்துவமனையில் நர்ஸாக பணிபுரிந்த போது பிரதோஷம் மாமாவிற்கு பணிவிடை புரியும் பாக்யமடைந்து அதன் மூலம் அந்த குடும்பம் யாவும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் பக்தி ருசியை அனுபவிக்கும் பேரானந்தம் பெற்ற பாக்கியசாலிகளாகி விட்டனர்.

சந்திரமோகன் வருடா வருடம் திருப்பதிக்கு பாத யாத்திரை போகும் வழக்கம் கொண்டிருந்ததால், ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை பற்றிக் கொண்ட அவ்வருடம் அதற்கான உத்தரவு கேட்க வந்த போது தான் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் கைங்கர்யம் செய்பவர் இப்படி கூறினார்.

உடனே மோகன் மனதில் ஒரு உயரிய எண்ணம் உதித்தது. சாட்சாத் வே ங்கடாசலபதி இங்கு அருள காத்து நிற்க ஏன் காஞ்சிபுர க்ஷேத்திரத்திற்கே பாத யாத்திரை வரக்கூடாது என்பதே அந்த புனித சிந்தனை.

நண்பர்கள் நால்வர் சேர்ந்தனர். புனித பயணம் மாங்காடு அம்மன் தரிசனத்ததோடு தொடங்கிவிட்டது. இரண்டு முழுநாட்கள் பாத யாத்திரைக்கு பின் ராஜகுளம் என்ற ஊரில் தங்க நேர்ந்தது.

பாத யாத்திரை வந்த பக்தர்களுக்கு நல்ல பசி. பசி தீர வழியில்லை. நல்ல தண்ணீரை குடித்து இங்கு பக்தர்கள் பசி ஆறுவதை உலகத்திற்கெல்லாம் படியளக்கும் தாயாரான ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அங்கிருந்தே ஒரு அன்னைக்கு ஏற்படும் வேதனையோடு உணர்ந்து விட்டிருப்பாரோ என்னவோ, பக்தர்கள் ஐந்து பேரும் அன்று இரவே புறப்பட்டு காஞ்சிக்கு வந்தாயிற்று.

அதிகாலை நாலரை மணி மடத்து கதவு லேசாக திறக்க மோகன் மட்டும் உள்ளே நுழைகிறார். அங்கே ஸ்ரீ பாலு எனும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் கைங்கர்யம் செய்பவர் இவரை பார்த்தவுடன் “முயற்சி திருவினையாக்கும்” என்று கூறி உள்ளே அழைக்கிறார்.

தான் நான்கு பேர்களுடன் இப்படி பாத யாத்திரையை திடுதிப்பென்று மேற்கொண்டு வந்தது பற்றி மோகன் யாரிடமும் கூறவில்லை.

“பெரியவா கொட்டகைக்கு போயிட்டு திரும்பி வருவா, நீ இப்படியே நில்லு…தரிசனம் செய்யலாம்” என்று ஸ்ரீ பாலு கூறியது போலவே மோகனுக்கு வெகு அருகாமையில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா வந்து நிற்கிறார்.

“யாரு” என்று பெரியவர் தெரியாதவர் போல கேட்க, “நர்ஸ்” என்று ஸ்ரீ பாலு ஆரம்பித்து மோகனை நர்ஸின் கணவர் என்பது போல சொல்லவருகிறார். “பாதயாத்திரையா வந்தாராம்” என்று ஸ்ரீ பாலு சொன்னவுடன் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் வாக்கு ஆச்சர்யமூட்டுவதாக வெளிவருகிறது.

“பஞ்ச பாண்டவாளா வந்திருக்காளா?” என்று தன் திருவாக்கினால் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா மோகனை திகைக்க வைக்கிறார். எல்லாமும் அறிந்த ஈசனும் நீயே…ஏழுமலையானும் நீயே என்று மோகனின் மனதுள் ஒரு பரவசம் நிரந்தர பக்தியை ஊட்டிவிடுகிறது. தெய்வமின்றி வேறுயாருக்கு ஐந்து பேராய் வந்தது தெரியும். கன்னத்தில் போட்டுக் கொண்டு செய்வதறியாமல் நின்ற பக்தரிடம் “சாப்பிடலையா” என்பது போல அன்னையின் அன்புள்ளம் சைகை செய்து கேட்கிறது. பக்தர்கள் முந்தைய இரவு சாப்பிடாததை தான் அறிவேன் என்பது போல ஒரு தெய்வீக வெளிப்பாடு காட்டப்படுகிறது. மோகன் மெய் சிலிர்த்து நிற்கிறார்.

ஸ்நானம் பண்ணிட்டு வாங்கோ என்பது போல மறுபடியும் சைகை காட்டுகிறாள் அன்னை. அப்படியே வந்த பக்தர்களுக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கட்டளைப்படி கூடை கூடையாக பழங்கள், பிரசாதங்கள், சர்க்கரையிட்டு கலக்கிய ஒரு அண்டா நிறைய தயிர் என்று தடபுடலாக நேற்றைய பசியோடு நாளைய பசிக்கும் அமுதூட்டுவது போல அன்பு மழை பொழியலாயிற்று.

யாரோ பூ பந்துகளை கொண்டு வைக்க மலை போன்ற அத்தனை பூ பந்துகளையும் தன் திருமேனி எங்கும் சுற்றிக் கொண்டு அன்று புதுமையாக பூ அலங்காரத்துடன் பூத்தவளே புவனம் பதினான்கினையும் காத்தவளே என்று அபிராமி கோலத்தில் காட்சி தந்துவிட்டு, மற்ற எந்த பக்தர்களையும் அழைக்காமல், பாத யாத்திரை வந்த ஐந்து பேரை மட்டும் அழைத்து அந்த மலர்மாலைகளையெல்லாம் தந்தருளி அந்த பாத யாத்திரை சிரமங்களையெல்லாம் தன் பேரரருளால் போக்கி பேரானந்தமளித்தருளினார். அன்னையாம் காமாட்சி பெரியவா இப்பேற்பட்ட தாயினை பரிபூர்ணமாக பக்தி செய்யும் அனைவருக்கும் எல்லா நன்மைகளும், மங்களங்களும் தானே தேடிவருமென்பது சத்தியமன்றோ.

“Who else other than God?”

When Sri Sankara Himself had incarnated as Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyava, it is not necessary to express that His greatness is as superior as Sukha Brahma Rishi.

If it is considered that it is a devotee’s fortune for them to express their unhappiness to Sri Periyava, isn’t it true that when that devotees has darshan of Sri Periyava, who is none other than Kailasapathi Himself, their sorrows would vanish without a trace?

Once during yatra to Andhra Pradesh, Sri Periyava was blessing everyone by sitting in a roadside resting place. With lot of problems, one devotee from Thanjavur came to have darshan of Sri Mahan.

“My name is Kalyanam. I am working as a judge in Customs appeal court. There are lot of issues in my family and no mental peace. Sri Periyava has to solve everything and that is why I came to have darshan” devotee prayed to Sri Periyava.

Sri Periyava’s compassion grew towards the devotee. Sri Periyava who is waiting to solve all the problems for everyone, asked the devotee to sit down and listened to all his problems. He blessed the devotee by raising both His hands and also handed him a fruit that was placed near Him.

Eswara’s grace started overflowing for this devotee. Good things started happening in devotee’s life. Peace returned in his life with all his problems getting solved. In two years, all his issues got resolved and he started living a happy life. Devotee came back to convey his gratitude to Sri Periyava.

“Because of Periyava’s blessings, our family is happy now. I feel like giving some contribution to Sri Matam. I am awaiting Sri Periyava’s orders” devotee told.

Sri Periyava with a smile in His face told the devotee, “It is not needed now”.

Devotee was not satisfied. With half-heart he returned. Days rolled by.

There were preparations going on for Maha Kumbhabhishekam to Thillai Nataraja (Chidambaram). One morning, Sri Periyava asked to call Sri Matam manager Sri. Krishnamoorthy and Sri. Jayasenthilnathan. Both of them came and stood before Sri Periyava.

Sri Periyava started talking with both of them by sitting inside the mena. He was instructing both of them about the details regarding Kumbhabhishekam. Sri Periyava was ordering that during Kumbhabhishekam, there needs to be Thirumurai concerts, Thirumurai debates, Tiruvachagam recitation and Shambhu Natana Stotram recitation by Deekshitar kids and asked both of them to make arrangements for the same.

During that time, a devotee came and stood for darshan. It was none other than Kalyanam, who came few years back to Sri Periyava with his problems and got it resolved by Sri Periyava’s blessings.

Sri Periyava blessed him to sit along with those two people. It happened so that Sri Periyava had to discuss about the Kumbhabhishekam preparations with him too. When Sri Periyava started telling Kalyanam about the exact date, time and place where he came for darshan, he stood there stunned. As he could not remember the date, Sri Periyava again reminded him the details. After that, Kalyanam somehow remembered the details and nodded his head.

“Now you remember? Are you doing well? On that day, you informed that you wanted to contribute some money to Sri Matam. Can you give that now?” When Sri Periyava asked this by remembering the devotee’s promise few years back, Kalyanam recalled all the details that happened on that day.

“I shall definitely contribute” told Kalyanam.

“You don’t want to give that money to Sri Matam. It is Kumbhabhishekam time for Thillai Nataraja. I have instructed these two on what needs to be done. You can get those done by using your money. Let that money go towards Sri Nataraja. Go and talk with them” Sri Periyava ordered the devotee.

Kalyanam realized and told with astonishment on how Sri Periyava remembered how a devotee promised contribution few years back and asked him the same to be contributed to the right cause at the right time.

Devotee must have understood that no other than God would be able to do this.

We know Him! He is Hari too! (Arivom Avanai! Hariyum Avane!)

For a Gnani who knows future, cannot he realize what happened in the past?

“When Sri Venkatachala Perumal Himself is giving darshan here, you have come to tell Himself that you are going pada yatra to Tirupathi. Are you a fool?” asked Sri Periyava’s assistant to Chandramohan. This was similar to how Sri Pradosham Mama would ask.

Chandramohan, who was one among the many of Sri Pradosham Mama’s devotees got to have Sri Periyava’s darshan frequently. Mohan’s wife – a nurse in government hospital got the opportunity to take care of Pradosham Mama and because of that, their entire family got fortunate enough to have bhakthi towards Sri Periyava.

Chandramohan had the practice of going to Tirupathi through pada yatra. So, that year, when he came to get permission from Sri Periyava, one of Sri Periyava’s assistants told so. Immediately, Mohan thought about a great deed. When Sri Venkalachalapathi Himself is waiting to bless him in Kanchipuram, why shouldn’t he come to Kanchipuram through pada yatra (by walking)?

Four of his friends joined him. Their spiritual journey started after having darshan of Mangadu Amman. After two full days of walking, they happened to stay in a place called Rajakulam. All of them were extremely hungry. There was no food available for them. They drank water to satiate their hunger. As if Sri Periyava recognizing that His devotees are suffering like this, He made them reach Kanchipuram that night itself, instead of staying there.

At 4.30 in the morning, Mohan entered when the door slightly opened. Sri Balu Mama, one of Sri Periyava’s assistants, immediately after seeing him told, “Effort never goes waste” and invited him inside.

Mohan did not tell anyone that he undertook this journey along with his four friends. “Sri Periyava has gone to the back shed… you stand here…you can have darshan” told Sri Balu Mama. Sri Periyava came back and stood closer to Mohan as Sri Balu Mama told.

“Who is that?” asked Sri Periyava as if He does not know anything. Sri Balu Mama replied “Nurse” to denote that Mohan’s wife is a nurse. When Sri Balu Mama told “He came all the way by walking”, next words from Sri Periyava were astonishing to Mohan.

“Did they come like Pancha Pandava?” asked Sri Periyava. Who other than God would know that five friends came together when Mohan did not tell anyone about their plan and trip? Mohan stood there not knowing what to do. Sri Periyava gestured as if to ask him, “Did he not eat” and it also made Mohan realize that Sri Periyava knew about their situation last night. Mohan stood there surprised.

Sri Periyava gestured again asking them to take bath. Based on Sri Periyava’s orders, these five devotees were offered lots of fruits, prasadam and lassi (curd with sugar). It was enough to take care of their hunger today too along with last night’s hunger.

When someone brought lot of balls made of flowers, Sri Periyava took all those flowers and had them in his body and gave darshan like Abirami on that day. Sri Periyava did not call any other devotee to give that darshan. He specifically called these five devotees and gave all those flowers as prasadam. This made all their pain because of walking, vanish. Is it not true that if we do true bhakthi towards Sri Periyava, who is none other Kamakshi, we get all prosperity and happiness?
