Sukravaram Special-Out of the World Kamakshi Periyava!!

Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara – The drawing below by Smt. Sowmya is supposed to be a pencil sketch. Does it look like that? What Thathroopam, Perfection? We can print this picture, frame it, and start doing Puja right away. Even the moorthy’s inside the Avudai have been sculpted with attention to detail. What Vivid expression Kamakshi Amma has! Sri Periyava is Sakshath  Dakshinamoorthy Swaroopam!! People like me have to read Deivathin Kural, experiences, etc. to be in Periyava Smaranai but blessed artists like Smt. Sowmya are in constant Periyava Smaranai with their gifted abilities & amazing work by the immense Anugraham of Periyava. Don’t you all think so? Way to go Smt. Sowmya. So happy and proud of you!! Ram Ram.

  3. Amazing indeed, What a blessed soul Smt Sowmya is. But for retaining Periva in her heart and mind all the time, this sketch of Periva can not be possible. One of the best I have seen. Seek Gurunatha’s blessings. Hara Hara Sankara
    Jaya Jaya Sankara

  5. I totally agree with ravi .Couple of days back i had the dars

an of ambal at kanchi.Today also i felt that i am indeed seeing ambal and not any drawing.what a dedicated effort by you.People worship almighty in various forms but your bakti in this form is truly the blessing of mahaswamy and ambal.

  6. truely blessed soul .

  7. Thathroopm! Smt. Sowmya is very Blessed! Hara Hara shankara, Jaya Jaya shankara!

  8. The inspiration for drawing Sri Periyava photo is from a photo of “Sri Mahaswami performing anushtanam at Mangala Theertham at Kanchipuram in 1988” .

Sri Periyava is doing anushtanam keeping both the hands opening. When i saw the pencil drawing i immediately remember this Sri Periyava photo. Initially i thought not to mention this but then i thought it will be taken in the right spirit. Just a small observation after seeing the original photo, Sri Periyava left hand from the shoulder is slightly not seen in the picture, only left hand fingers are shown.

Please forgive me if am wrong, i don’t know anything about drawing. Hope Smt. Sowmya will not mistake me.

Of course this photo is also appearing on top left side of this website

  13. Simply Great

  14. SUPERB SOWMYA. UNBELIEVABLE. SUCH A PORTRAIT. NO WORDS TO EXPRESS. MAHA PERIYAVA BLESS YOU. MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE BY THE GRACE OF PERIYAVA

  15. We talk so much about meditation, with closing the eyes and trying to focus on the deity of our worship. In fact, meditation need not be done that way. This drawing of the picture is also true meditation; the artist’s mind is pure in absorbing the nature of the deity (Kamakshi and Mahaperiyava) here, which is reflected in the picture. That is why our mind is getting attached to the beauty of the picture right away, and as soon as you see the picture there is a connection to our own inner peace.

Sowmya – this is great spiritual progress and my prayers to the Supreme Guru that you should advance more in this path and reach the ultimate goal.

Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara…
