Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara,
Happy Sri Rama Navami to all! We all know how much Sri Periyava encouraged chanting and writing ‘Rama’ Nama. I remember Periyava (in Periyava Kural) asking us to chant atleast 1008 times of Rama Nama every day to keep that day free from troubles. Even today if we goto Sri Madam today with completed Rama Nama books, HH Pudhu Periyava takes a close look at the completed notebook and blesses us with prasadam. HH joy multiples if those books are written by children. HE flashes his divine smile and keeps the Bhagawan Nama notebook on his head before handing it over to Sevarthees. What more blessing can one get? From my personal experience, I have seen this happen quite a few times. We can also place the completed notebooks in Sri Periyava Adishtanam.
On this auspicious day let’s write ‘Rama’ nama as much as we can, get the blessings from our Periyavas whenever we goto Kanchipuram. It is a worthwhile experience which becomes addictive too, for good 🙂

Please staple or bind loose sheets before submitting it to Sri Periyava.
Another Note:
In Sri Vaishanava Sampradaya Bhagawathar (Bhaktha) is considered greater than Bhagawan. Same goes in Sri Saiva Sampradaya where Sivan Adiyar is revered more than Easwara. That said, Saturday being Dasami let us remember great Bhagawathar’s who were born in this day; Sri Lakshmana (Ilaya Azhawar). Sri Bharatha Aazhawar, and Sri Chatrugna Aazhawar.
