கண்ணப்பனுக்காக காளத்தியில் லிங்க ஸ்வரூபம் நெய்வேலி மகாலிங்கத்துக்காக காஞ்சியில்
காவித்துணி தரித்து உலாவும் பெரியவா

(பக்தியின் அதீத நிலை)

தட்டச்சு-வரகூரான் நாராயணன்.

நெய்வேலி மகாலிங்கம் என்பவர், ‘கண்ணப்ப நாயனார்’ என்று பெரியவாளாலேயே புகழப்பட்டவர். பெரியவாளிடம் உரத்த குரலிலேயே பேசுவார். களங்கமில்லாமல் மனத்தில் தோன்றியவற்றை யெல்லாம் கொட்டி விடுவார்.

அவர் பெரியவாளிடம் பேசும்போது,அருகிலிருந்து கேட்பவர்களுக்கு அவர்மேல் வெறுப்புக் கூட வந்து விடும்.”இவர் என்ன கொஞ்சமும் மரியாதை இல்லாமல் இப்படிப் பேசுகிறாரே”என்று கோபம் வரும்.

ஆனால் பெரியவாளோ அவர் பேசுவதையெல்லாம் ஆடாமல்,அசையாமல் உட்கார்ந்து கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

மகாலிங்கம் பெரியவாளிடம் ஒரு நாள் சொன்னார்.

“அப்பா…நீ வெயிலிலும் மழையிலும் ஊர் ஊரா அலையறே…கொலைப் பட்டினி கிடக்கே. உன்னை ‘நடமாடும் தெய்வம்’ என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இங்கே வரும் மடிசார் மாமிகளும்,பஞ்சக்கச்ச  மாமாக்களும் வெறும் வேஷதாரிகள். ஓட்டலில் வயிறு புடைக்கச் சாப்பிட்டு விட்டு வருகிறார்கள். கார்,பஸ்,டிரெயின் என்று வாகனங்களில் வருகிறார்கள்.’பெரியவா பெரியவா’ன்னு சொல்லி அவர்களெல்லாம் வாய்பொத்தி நிற்கிறதை, நீயோ நிஜமான பக்தின்னி நினைச்சு,ஆசீர்வாதம் பண்ணிண்டிருக்கே…உன் உடம்பப் பற்றி யாரும் கவலைப்படறதில்லே.

“இந்தா – பிஸ்கட்,மருந்து,டானிக் எல்லாம் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கேன். வேளாவேளைக்குச் சாப்பிடணும்” என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு, ஒர் அட்டைப் பெட்டியை பெரியவா எதிரில் வைத்தார்.

இன்னொரு தடவை, “I am the only son of my father, அதனாலே, என் வீட்டுக்கு வந்து அங்கேயே இரு” என்றார், (அதாவது எங்கும் அலையாமல் பசி – பட்டினி கிடக்காமல், பூஜை ஜபம் செய்துகொண்டு என் வீட்டிலேயே காலத்தைக் கழிக்கவேண்டும் என்ற அன்பு மிகுந்த சொற்கள்.)

பெரியவா மெதுவாகச் சிரித்தவண்ணம் அவர் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

“இப்படியெல்லாம் பேசக்கூடாது” என்று ஒரு வார்த்தைக்காகக் கூட,ஒரு தடவை கூட பெரியவா அவரைத் தடுத்ததில்லை.

ஆனந்தமாகக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்துவிட்டுப் பின் பிரசாதம் கொடுத்து அனுப்புவார்கள்.

காளஹஸ்தி மலை குடிமிநாதருக்கு,”பசிக்குமே?” என்று கவலைப்பட்டு,ஏதோ உணவுப் பொருள்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து கொடுத்தார் திண்ணன்.

“மகாப் பெரியவாளுக்குப் பசிக்குமே?” என்று பிஸ்கட் கொண்டு வந்து கொடுத்தார் மகாலிங்கம்.

இரண்டு நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும் உணவுப்பொருள்கள் மாறியிருந்தன. ஆனால் இரண்டு உள்ளங்களும் ஒன்றாகவே பக்தி மயமாக – இருந்தன.

இரண்டு பக்தர்களுக்குமிடையே பல நூறாண்டுகள் இடைவெளி இருந்தது. ஆனால், காலகாலன், காலத்தால் முதுமை அடைவதில்லை. மாறிப் போவதில்லை.

காளஹஸ்தி மலையில், கண்ணப்பனுக்காகக் கற்சிலையான லிங்கமாகவும் இருப்பார்;
நெய்வேலி மகாலிங்கத்துக்காக, காஞ்சிபுரத்தில் காவித்துணி தரித்து உலாவிக்கொண்டும் இருப்பார்.

Darisana Anubavangal – Periyavaa’s Kannappar

Baghavan who appeared as Siva lingam to Kannappar in Kaalahasthi has taken avatara as kaavi vastram clad Maha Periyavaa in Kanchipuram for Neyveli Mahalingam (extreme form of bakthi)

Neyveli Mahalingam is a great baktha who was lauded by Periyavaa as Kannappa Naayanaar. He used to speak to even Periyavaa in a loud voice. Being a pure hearted person he will speak out what comes to his mind to Periyavaa.

When others hear what he is speaking to Periyavaa they could start hating him. Others may get angry with him because he appears to speak to Periyavaa without any respect. But Periyavaa used to listen to Mahalingam without any response whatsoever.

Once Mahalingam told Periyavaa “Appa, you travel all over in hot sun and rain. Often you stay hungry because of viradhams. But all those madisaar maamis and panchakacha maamas who come here saying you are God in human form are actors. They come after eating to their heart’s content in hotels. They travel comfortably by car/bus/train. Just because they stand humbly in front of you chanting ‘Periyavaa’ you think they are true bakthas and you bless them. Nobody cares about your health. I have brought biscuits, medicine, and tonic for you. You must take them without fail”. Having said so he placed a box in front of Periyavaa.

On another occasion he said to Periyavaa “I am the only son of my father. So you come and stay with me“ i.e. with lot of affection he asked Periyavaa to stay at his house doing Pooja, japa etc. instead of travelling around and remaining hungry.

Periyavaa used to listen to Mahalingam, with a smile on his face. Periyavaa never advised Mahalingam not to speak like this. Happily Periyavaa used to listen to Mahalingam and then give him prasaadam.

Thinnan (who was later revered as Kannappa Naayanaar) used to bring some food items to Kuduminaathar in Kaalahasthi. Mahalingam brought biscuits to Periyavaa with lot of concern that he should not go hungry.

In these two incidents food items brought differed. But both hearts were filled with bakthi. These two bakthaas lived in different time periods. But Baghavan does not change or grow old with passage of time.

Lord appeared as Siva lingham in Kaalahasthi for Kannappar. For Neyveli Mahalingam he appeared as Periyavaa in Kanchipuram.

All things and beings are nothing but the only one sathyam – Baghavan
