Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara – We want to make you aware of a great lady, Smt. Azeez Gouhar, following Islam who has wholeheartedly dedicated her life for Gho Samrakshanam. She was a member of Bharatithya Prani Mithra association as well the represented Tamizh Nadu in National Commission on Cattle formed by Govt. of India 2000-01. I had the opportunity to talk to her and was really astonished by her experiences. Goes to show how much we can learn from others irrespective of caste, creed, religion, etc. We get to know more about her in the write up below. அசீஸ் கவுர் என்ற முஸ்லிம் பெண்மணி காஞ்சி பெரியவரின் மாட்டு பொண்ணு. இவர் காஞ்சி மடத்துக்கு சென்றால் இவரை பெரியவர் “வாம்மா மாட்டு பொண்ணே” என்று சிலேடையாக அழைப்பாராம்.

மாதாமாதம் ஏதாவது ஒரு தலைப்பில் அறிவுப்பூர்வமாக ஏதாவது பேசுவோம். அப்படி இந்த மாதம் பசு பாதுகாப்பு பற்றி. பேசியது அசீஸ் கவுர் என்ற முஸ்லிம் பெண்மணி RSS கூட்டத்தில் வந்து பேசினார். பெரிய பேச்சாளர் இல்லை. ஏகப்பட்ட தகவல்களை தரவில்லை, கணீரென்ற குரல் இல்லை. ஆனால் அரை மணிநேரத்தில் அனைவருக்கும் தாயானார். பேசியது அத்தனையும் சத்தியம். ஒரு பொய் கூட இல்லை.

குடும்பமே சைவம். யாரும் முட்டை கூட சாப்பிடுவதில்லை. இவரை யாரும் எதிர்க்கவும் இல்லை. சிறு வயது முதலே, வீட்டுக்கு சிறு மிருகங்களும் பசுக்களும் பறவைகளும் வந்து போகும். அன்பாக இருப்பது என்பது இயல்பாக வந்தது. பசுக்கள் என்றால் தனி பிரியம். இவரது தாய்க்கு முதல் குழந்தை அபார்ஷன் ஆனது. துடித்துள்ளார். அன்றைய இரவு கனவில் ஒரு பாலகன் வந்து நான் முருகன். கண்டி கதிர்காமன். உனக்கு நல்ல குழந்தை பிறக்கும் என்று ஆசீர்வதித்துள்ளான். பிறகு இந்தம்மா பிறந்துள்ளார். பல ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து தன் மகள் இப்போது இலங்கைக்கு செல்லும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்ததால் இவர் அவரிடம் கண்டி கோவிலுக்கு போய் கயிறு வாங்கி வா என்று சொல்லி அதை கையில் கட்டியுள்ளார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ ரவிஷங்கரிடம் சென்றபோது எங்கள் தொழுவத்தை பார்த்துவிட்டு வாருங்கள் என்று சொல்லியுள்ளார். அற்புதமாக இருந்ததாம். கிர் (Gir) காளைகள் 8 அடி உயரமாம். இவர் அருகே சென்று தடவி பார்த்து டேய் எனக்கு ஒரு kiss குடுடா என்று காளையை பார்த்து சொன்னாராம். ஈஷி, நக்கி தள்ளிவிட்டதாம். அசந்துவிட்டார்களாம் அனைவரும். “என்ன இப்படி பேசறீங்க. அதுவும் புரிஞ்சுகிட்டு பதில் சொல்லுது..!” என்று கேட்டார்களாம்.

கட்டாக் சென்றபோது அங்கு அறுப்புக்காக காத்திருந்த நிறைமாத கர்ப்பிணி பசு. இவர் தடவி கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். பட்டென்று ஒரு தட்டு. என்னை விட்டுவிட்டாயே என்பது போல ஒரு பார்வை. கண்ணில் நீர் முட்ட, என்னைத்தான் விட்டுவிட்டாய், மீதி இருப்பவர்களையாவது காப்பாற்று என்று சொல்லாமல் சொல்லிவிட்டு அப்படியே பொத்தென்று விழுந்து இறந்துவிட்டதாம். மாரடைப்பு காரணமாக. அந்த பார்வையை என்னால் மறக்கவே முடியாது என்று சொல்லி நிறுத்தினார். நிசப்தம் அறை முழுவதும். கலங்கிவிட்டோம் அனைவரும்.

நீங்கள் குடிக்கும் பானங்கள் அனைத்திலும் எதிலெல்லாம் கேல்ஷியம் இருக்கிறது என்று சொல்லி விற்கிறானோ, அவை அனைத்திலும் மாட்டின் எலும்பு இருக்கிறது என்றார்.

முஸ்லிம்கள் மட்டுமல்ல. ஹிந்துக்கள் மாட்டை கொல்வதிலும், தொலை ஏற்றுமதி செய்வதிலும் போட்டி போடுகிறார்கள். முஸ்லிம்கள் அறுப்பது வீடியோவில் பதிவாவதால் வெளியாகிறது என்றார். முஸ்லிம்கள் உண்ணலாம். ஆனால் கொல்வதில் ஹிந்துக்கள் யாருக்கும் சளைத்தவர்கள் அல்ல. ஹைதராபாத்தில் உள்ள மாடு அறுப்பு தொழிற்சாலையான அல் கபீர் நடத்துவது ஒரு ஜெயின் என்றார்.

பசுவை லட்சுமி என்றால் சும்மா அது ஒன்றும் பணம் தராது. ஆனால் அது பால் தருவது நின்றால் கூட அதன் சாணத்தையும் மூத்திரத்தையும் வைத்து அவ்வளவு மருந்து, உரம் தயாரிக்கலாம். அதை முறையாக பராமரித்தால் பணம் கொட்டும் என்றார். கொன்றால் ஒரு முறை பணம். சரியாக பராமரித்தால் அது சாகும்வரை பணம் தரும் என்று விளக்கினார்.

அதன் கொம்புகள் வான் நோக்கி இருப்பதால் விண்ணிலுள்ள சக்தியை அது உறிஞ்சுகிறது. ஜெர்சி பசுவின் சாணமோ, மூத்திரமோ பயன் தராது. உங்கள் வீட்டில் யாருக்காவது உடல் நிலை சரியில்லை என்றால் இதற்கு தெரிந்துவிடும். அது பாசத்தால் அழும் என்றார்.

ஒரு இடத்திலிருந்து மற்ற இடத்துக்கு எடுத்து செல்ல, பல மாடுகளின் கால்களை உடைத்து லாரியில் படுக்க போடுவார்களாம். அதில் இருக்கும் இடைவெளியில் மற்றமாடுகளை ஏற்றுவார்களாம். இதன் கொம்பு அதன் கண்ணில் குத்தி இரத்தம் வரும். பார்க்க கொடுமையை இருக்கும்.

******* ஆசியாவின் மிகப்பெரிய மாடு அறுப்பு கொலைக்களம் வைத்துள்ளார். **** மந்திரி ***** இந்த வேலை பார்க்கிறார். ஒரு முறை அவரது லாரியை இந்தம்மாள் மடக்கி பிடித்துள்ளார். 17 லாரிகளில் 14 தப்பிவிட்டன. 3 மட்டும்தான் சிக்கியது. அப்போது அவரது PA காவல்துறை ஆய்வாளரை தொடர்பு கொண்டு பேசியுள்ளார். இங்கே வாருங்கள் உடனடியாக என்று சொல்லியுள்ளார். இவர் பதிலுக்கு நீ இங்கே வா. நான் எங்கும் வரமாட்டேன். மாடுகளை துன்புறுத்திவிட்டு திமிராக பேசுகிறாயா என்று கேட்டுள்ளார். அரண்டு விட்டார்களாம். அதன்பின் வரவே இல்லை என்றார்.

நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் பசுக்களுக்கு உணவளியுங்கள். விட்டுவிடாதீர்கள். இவை நமது சொத்து. நான் குரான்படி வாழ்வதால் இவைகளை காப்பாற்றவேண்டும் என்று சொல்கிறேன். ஒரு முறை ஜவஹீருல்லாவோடு வாக்குவாதம் ஏற்பட்டது. அவர் சொன்னார், “எனக்கும் தெரியும் குரான்படி இதெல்லாம் கூடாது என்று. ஆனால் விட்டுவிட்டால் ஹிந்துக்கள் தலைக்கு மேல் ஏறிவிடுவார்கள். அதனால் தொடர்கிறோம்” என்றாராம். இவர் பதிலுக்கு, “உனக்கு ஹிந்து எதிர்ப்பு முக்கியமா?, குரான் முக்கியமா?” என்று கேட்டுள்ளார்.

தயவு செய்து தோல் பொருட்களை உபயோகிக்காதீர்கள். பெல்ட், பர்ஸ், ஷூ, கையுறை, கார் சீட்டு வாங்காதீர்கள். உணவு பொருட்கள் வாங்கினாலும் பச்சை வட்டம் உள்ளதா என்று பாருங்கள். பசுவை பாது காக்க அதன் பஞ்சகவ்யம் மூலம் தயாரிக்கப்படும் சோப்பு, ஷாம்பூ, போன்றவற்றை வாங்குங்கள். இது போன்ற பொருட்களை அதிகம் வாங்கினால் இவைகளுக்கு மவுசு கூடினால் இதை கொன்று வரும் பணத்தை விட இவைகளை உயிரோடு வைத்திருந்தால் அதிகம் பணம் கிடைக்கும் என்று உணருவார்கள். பசு பிழைக்கும். வெளிநாட்டுக்காரனுக்கு பணம் போகாது. நம் நாட்டிலேயே சுற்றும்.

Azeez Gouhar and Cow Protection

Our Periavaa considered a woman by name, Azeez Gouhar as his “Mattu Penn”.  It seems, whenever she visited Kanchi Mutt, Periavaa used to invite her “Come, Mattu Penn” conveying dual meanings of “Daughter in law” as well as “Cattle lady”.

Every month, we used to have talks on some educative topics.  This month, a woman by name, Azeez Gouhar, spoke about Protection of Cows, in a RSS meeting.  She was not a big orator. She neither reeled out much data nor spoke in a very resounding voice.  However, within half an hour all the listeners could relate to her like a mother.  Whatever she spoke was simple truth and without any fabrication.  Her entire family was vegetarian.  None of them consumed even eggs.

Nobody in their community also objected to her policies and practices.  It seems, right from her early age, small animals, birds, cows and birds used to flock to her house.  Love for animals was a natural trait for her.  She had a special attachment to cows.  Her mother had an abortion when she was carrying her first child, and was extremely anguished over that.   The very same day, she had a dream in which a boy had appeared and introduced himself as Lord Muruga, the Candy Kadhirkaman and blessed the lady that she would beget a fine child.  Subsequently, this girl was born.  When Azeez Gouhar had an opportunity to visit Sri Lanka, her mother asked her to visit the Candy Murugan temple and get a string and tied it her hand as a wrist band.

When Azeez Gouhar had gone to the ashram of Sri Sri Ravishankar, she was requested to pay a visit to their cattle shed.  It was a wonderful one with several 8 feet tall Gir bulls.  When she caressed one of them and asked the animal to give her a kiss, the animal had responded immediately and very affectionately smooched and licked her all over.  The people who witnessed this were awestruck over how the animal understood whatever she said and also responded.  When she went to Cuttack, one of the cows which was pregnant was being taken for slaughter.  On seeing her, it gave a forlorn look as though conveying to her that even though you have not been able to save me, you should save other animals and collapsed, due to a heart attack.  When she narrated this incident and gave a pause after saying that she could never forget the pathetic look of the animal, the entire audience fell silent and shed tears.

She pointed out that in all the items that we drink where it is mentioned as containing calcium, it is actually containing the bones of cows.  It is not only Muslims but also Hindus who are competing to slaughter cows and exporting them to far off places, for profit.  We are aware of the practices of Muslims, only because we get to see videos of Muslims slaughtering cows.  It may be true that Muslims eat beef but Hindus are no less capable in indulging in this gruesome act.  One of the slaughter houses in Hyderabad, by name Al Kabir, is actually managed by a jain.

Merely calling a cow as Lakshmi, it will not give you wealth.  Even after a cow goes dry and stops giving milk, one can prepare several types of manure and medicines out of the cow dung and urine.  If we properly take care of them, they can really bless with lot of money.  Till their death, they will provide you with income, if they are taken proper care.  As their horns point upwards to the sky, they are able to absorb the cosmic energy available.  The dung or urine of a Jersey cow is useless.  If any of your family members is not well, these cows will get to know and will shed tears out of compassion.

It seems that when these animals are transported from one place to another, their legs are broken to make more space and accommodate more animals.  It will be gruesome to see the horn of one animal piercing the eye of another and making it bleed.  ***** is the owner of the asia’s largest cow slaughter house.  The *** Minister, *******, is also engaged in the same business.  Once, this lady has tried to seize the trucks of this minister.  Out of 17, 14 trucks managed to escape leaving only 3 that could be taken in their custody.  The Minister had contacted the PA to the Police Superintendant, who, in turn had summoned this lady to come.  She had replied very boldly and courageously that she would not come and if he wanted he could come and questioned his right to summon her when he was committing the sin of torturing the pitiable animals.
They were taken aback by her courage and conviction and never came back, it seems.

She appealed that everyone should feed the cows without fail, as they were our assets.  She said that as she lived by the Koran, she was asking us to protect these animals.  Once she had an argument with one of their religious heads, who, although acknowledged that Koran prohibited the ill-treatment of cows, he allowed them as he felt that otherwise, Hindus will take an upper hand beyond control.  Responding to that she had asked which one was more important, opposing Hindus or abiding by the Koran.

It is earnestly appealed to everyone not to use any products made out of cow hide, like purse, shoe, gloves, car seats etc. When you buy a food item, check whether it contained the vegetarian logo.  To protect cows, we should patronize soap, shampoo etc products made out of the pancha kavyam.  When all of us buy such products, people will realize that it is possible to earn more income keeping the cows alive than when they are dead.  That way, cows will escape this doom and our money will not go outside the country but be in circulation within our country.

For marriages, birthday parties, Navrathri festival, new year etc., If we could give gifts made out of the things made available by the cows, they will not only be useful but also help the cows to live.
