Sri Vaitha mama needs no introduction – almost everyone knows him as one of the closest kainkarya devotees for Mahaperiyava.
It is interesting to note that I posted a small article about a lady who delivers milk to Sri Matam and in this audio, mama narrates that same experience to elaborate the Periyava’s Karunai towards everyone – he mentions it under “Advaitam” topic.
How much Periyava cared about the well-being and recognizing each and every one of the sevakas during His lifetime – not just the selected people – everyone!
He talks about HH Pudhu Periyava bakthi towards His guru – not one day He missed doing namaskaram to Mahaperiyava in the morning! This continues even today.
There are so many other incidents and they all take us back in time.
Vaitha mama’s sthoobi in Kanchipuram is a must visit place. A very beautiful place for Mahaperiyava – with a patasala being run by mama. If I were to build a place for Mahaperiyava in US, I would build exactly like that. Here is my previous post about this sthoobi during my last visit.

I had opportunity to be in Sri Vaitha Mama house at St. Mary’s Road, Abhiramapuram, Chennai during 2010. While entering the house on the Hall, one can see full of Sri Periyava photos in the wall, can’t see even an inch of wall. Mama was so humble and received me and talked about Sri Periyava. I went to his home few times to offer little contributions to Sri Sankara Bhaktha Jana Sabha Trust. Sri Vaitha Mama one who published “Divya Darshan of Sri Kanchi Mahaswami” book, in 2 Volumes, by the hands of Sri Pudu Periyava at Vani Mahal in 2010.
Sri Vaidya mama released souvenir for Sri Bramhapuriswarar Koil near Kanchipurarm, where Sri Periyava stayed for more than two years. i am blessed to put a small advt in that souvenir with Sri Periyava photo, as advised by Sri Vaidya Mama.
If video interview of Sri Vaidya Mama is available it would be great to see that.

Sri Vaitha Maama talking about his Divine Experiences with Maha Periyava, his prodigious memory of what happened almost 60 years ago, Maha Periyava’s ‘Gharbhavaasam’ for one year at SivaSthaanam Temple, Maha Periyava’s Siddhi Moment all very Divine! Could the photos of all the fortunate people who served Maha Periyava and whose names are mentioned as having photos in various homes at Kanchipuram, including Sri Vaitha Maama be published in a separate post?
