It’s my great pleasure to share this interview of Smt. Mahalakshmi Mami with you all. Here Mami talks about her experiences with Sri Maha Periyava who was pivotal in initiating Kachimuthur Trust, a trust for managing ancient temples started around 35 years back; her great lineage, divine miracles by Sri Pudhu Periyava for her son who just boarded the flight to US, anugraham to Mami when she felt heart broken, commendable work silently performed by Sivarpanam Trust in reviving Veda and Ancient temples, insights and hardships of temple renovation/kumbabishekam, lessons learnt from a poor lady, etc. Words of wisdom and experiences stream from Mami at amazing speed and flow. As Mami tells, Mama is her pillar of strength who makes a lot of things happen behind the scenes. With Periyava’s grace, I want to interview him one day as well. Mami appeals to all of us to involve in these kainkaryams as much possible while we have this precious human janma (Janmaanaam Nara Dhurlabam). As you are well aware, our blog supports these causes big time so it is my duty to remind you all again to support the noble cause of Ancient temples renovation, Veda Rakshanam, and Gho Matha Samrakshanam.
A bit of background about this interview; it was our great Bhagiyam to have Mami and Mama in our home in Chennai when I went for vacation couple of months back. Mami and Mama were running @ 200 miles per hour and I literally had to hijack them for this 45 min interview :-). Isn’t it a great Bhagiyam to have persons like Mama and Mami in our home who had been to more than 20,000 ancient temples and performed Kumbabishekam in more than 100 Kshethrams?
