காமகோடிக்கும் …. காமராஜருக்கும் இருந்த கம்பி போன்ற நுட்பமான உறவு!

சுமார் நாற்பது வருஷங்களுக்கும் மேலாக, ஒரு சமயம், பெரியவா ,கலவையில் தங்கியிருந்த சமயம்.

பெருந்தலைவர் கமராஜர் வேலூரில் ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்ள வந்திருந்தார்.பெரும் பக்திமானான
ராஜகோபால என்பவரிடம் தலைவர் ”நாளைக்குப் பெரியவாளைப் பார்க்கப் போகலாமா, என்ன செய்யணுமோ அதற்குண்டான ஏற்பாடுகளைச் செய்”என்று சொன்னார். தகவல் முகாம் மானேஜரிடம் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

மறு நாள் காலை..நல்ல இருட்டு ஆறரை மணி இருக்கும். கலவை மடத்தின் சுற்றுச் சுவரைக் கடந்து தன் காரை விட்டு இறங்கினார் தலைவர் அவர்கள். கைகள் இரண்டையும் உயரத் தூக்கிக் கும்பிட்டபடியே ஸ்வாமிகளை நோக்கிச் சென்றார். கொண்டு சென்ற பழங்களையும், மலர்களையும் ஸ்வாமிகளுக்கு ஸமர்ப்பித்தார். மங்கிய ஒளியில் தரிசனம். காமராஜர் வணங்கியபடியே நின்றார்.

”எப்பவோ வந்திருக்கணும்..இப்போதான் சந்தர்ப்பம் கிடைச்சுது”

பின் மெல்லிய குரலில் சிறிது நேரம் சம்பாஷணை..ப்ரசாதமாக பழங்கள்..ஆசீர்வாதம் எல்லாம் முடிந்து
வேலூர் பயணம்.

”நான் என் வாழ்க்கையில் இப்படிப்பட்ட துறவியை நான் கற்பனை கூட செய்து பார்த்ததில்லை!…கண்களில் என்ன வசீகரம்!என்ன ப்ரகாசம்.. மெலிந்த உருவில்
என்ன தெய்வீகம்! ”

மறு நாள் காலை சிற்றுண்டி நேரம். தலைவருடன் நெருங்கிப் பழகும் இளவயது காங்கிரஸ்காரர்
”இன்னிக்கு சாயங்காலம் பக்கத்து ஊரில் இருக்கும் ஒரு சாமியாரைப் பார்க்க வரணும்…”
என்று வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்தார்.

(ஆசார்யாளிடம் தனக்கு இருந்த பக்தி காரணமாக ராஜகோபாலன் அவர்கள் தலைவரை கலவைக்கு
அழைத்துப் போய்விட்டதாக ஓர் உட்கிடக்கை அவர் பேச்சில் தொனித்தது. நானும் ஒரு சாமியாரிடம்
அழைத்துப் போகிறேன் பார் என்ற போட்டி மனப்பான்மை வேறு!)

காமராஜர் அவர்களுக்கு கற்பூர புத்தி!

ஆங்கிலத்திலும் தமிழிலும் வெளியான பல புத்தகங்களின் பெயர்களையும் ஒரு மாணவன் ஒப்பிப்பது போல் சொல்லி அந்நூல்களின் ஆசிரியர்களின் பெருமையையும் விளக்கி ,”நீ இந்தப் புத்தகங்களைப் படித்திருக்கிறாய?” என்று கேட்டார்.

இந்த புஸ்தகங்கள் எழுதினவங்க யாரும் தமிழ் நாட்டவரே இல்லை!…இதெல்லாம் படிச்சுப்பாரு..அப்போ புரியும் சங்கராசாரியாருக்கும், மற்ற சாமியாருக்கும் உள்ள வித்தியாசம்!”இப்படி இன்நும் பல தகவல்கள்.
ஓய்வே இல்லாத தன் அரசியல் அலுவல்களிடையே பெரியவாளைப் பற்றி இவ்வளவு விஷயங்கள்
தெரிந்து வைத்திருந்தார் காமராஜர் அவர்கள்!

காம என்ற பொதுவான ஒரு சொல்தான் அவர்களுக்குள்ள தொடர்பு!

பெரியவாளைப் பார்த்த எவரும் அவரைப் பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்ட எவரும் ஜாதி, மத, இனங்களைக்
கடந்து தேசம் கடந்த பக்தி உடையவர்கள் என்பதில் எள்ளளவும் ஐயமுண்டோ!

ஜய ஜய சங்கரா…..

This happened around forty years back, when Maha Periyavaa was staying at Kalavai.
Kamarajar had come to Vellore to participate in an event.  He asked Rajagopal, who was an ardent devotee of Periyavaa,” Can you make arrangements to go to Kalavai and meet Maha Periyavaa tomorrow?” .This was informed to the manager of the camp who carried out the instruction.

Next day morning, when it was very early and dark, around 6.30 am, Kamarajar’s car entered the premises of Kalavai Mutt. He paid his homage to Periyavaa by raising his two hands and offered fruits and flowers to Periyavaa showing his respect. He had vision of the divine (darshan) of Periyavaa in that dim light but was feeling blissful. He told Periyavaa,” I just got the privilege to meet you now though I should have come to you long back”. They both had conversation in a mild voice. He got fruits as sacrament from Periyavaa and returned to Vellore. He told his fellow members,” I have never imagined such a great saint in my life.  Such an enchantment in his eyes. Such a glow and clarity in his face.  Such a divine personality”.

Next day, during his breakfast, one of the close  associate of Kamarajar’s, came to him and said,” Can you please come with me to meet a saint this evening who is living nearby ?”. (The person was of the opinion that due to devotion of Rajagopal to Maha Periyavaa he had taken Kamarajar  to Periyavaa. So he also wanted to take Kamarajar to a saint known to him to compete with Rajagopal). Kamarajar just grasped the intention of the person.

To teach him a lesson, Kamarajar started to tell the name of many books from Tamil and English languages and also the well renowned authors who had written those books. He was also in full praise of those authors who were all foreigners and not Indians. He enquired whether the person had read any of those books and asked him to read them. He said by reading those books he would come to know the difference between Kamakodi swamiji and other seers.

Despite his busy political schedule, Kamarajar read many books and ensured that he had these valuable information on MahaPeriyavaa. The only link in their relationship is the word “Kama” in their names.
It is evident that Maha Periyavaa is beyond caste, creed, race and even nationalities.
