பிராம்மணர்களுக்கு தரித்திர நிலை வேண்டியதுதான். இன்பங்களைத் தேடாமல் காயக் காயக் கிடந்தால்தான் இவனுக்கு ஞானப் பிரகாசம் உண்டாகும். அதனால் லோகம் வாழும் கண்ட தேசங்களுக்குச் சென்று ஆசார அநுஷ்டானங்களை விட்டுவிட்டு ஸம்பாதிக்கிற ஐச்வர்யம் இவனுக்கு வேண்டாம். அதுபடி ஸம்பாதிக்காவிட்டால் ஒன்றும் முடியாது என்பது இல்லை. லோகத்தில் மந்திர சக்தியைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொண்டு தன்னுடைய தர்மத்தை அநுஷ்டிப்பது முதல் கடமை. ஸம்பாதிப்பது secondary [இரண்டாவது] தான். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Indeed the Brahmin must live in poverty. It is only when he does not seek pleasure and practices self-denial that the light of Aathmic knowledge will shrine in him. This light will make the world live. The Brahmin must not go abroad in search of fortune, giving up the customs and practices he is heir to. I think there is no Brahmans now.
Most of us have turned dear to this advice and many even might brand this advice as old fashioned and impractical. But truth is bitter and Sri Periava has done his duty. How many of us would practice? In fact many of his prominent sishyas have never heeded this and so many of his advices.
A whip to present Brahmans who are running after money. I don’t think they will change. Periva’s thought influence should be directly in their mind either by dhyanam or dream is highly required now.
