Kamakshi n Periyava 1

During Maha Periva camp at Andhra, a Pooja was arranged for Goddess Kamatchi Amman and all arrangements were made for the Pooja. Ambal Kamatchi was dressed in divine and soulful manner by the sreekaryam people.

Maha Periva was about to start the Pooja. Maha Periva noticed that the saree of Kamatchi Amman was torn at the knee. But Maha Periva decided, to go ahead with the Pooja without changing the saree.  The Pooja was in excellent progress and so much of devotee’s crowd was assembled for Pooja.

Unexpectedly, a lady beggar with the saree torn at many places came running asking for a saree and food. Everyone from the crowd, were about to prevent that lady from nearing Maha Periva. Maha Periva instructed the people, not to stop her and allow her to come near Maha Periva.

Karuna Sagaran, Maha Periva asked that lady, what do you want? The lady replied that she needs a good saree to wear as she has only that torn saree.

Maha Periva instructed Sreekaryam people to bring a good saree, fruits and prasadams in a plate. The sreekaryam people obeyed the instruction and brought the plate with saree and fruits etc and handed over the plate to the lady as per Periva’s instruction.

Maha Periva with smile blessed that lady for a good life. The lady after receiving the plate walked towards the road. One of the sreekaryam person, was following the lady because these kind of ladies they never wear good saree and they sell it outside for money. The sreekaryam person was following that lady without her knowledge and Maha Periva.

That lady crossed the road and was about to enter in to a temple and all of sudden, someone slapped sreekaryam person and he fell on the ground and fainted. The lady went inside the temple and disappeared. After some time, with help of passersby, he could manage to come to the Pooja place.

He was very much afraid to disclose this incident to Maha Periva. But Maha Periva knows everything without anyone informing him. Maha Periva summoned the sreekaryam person and narrated everything, till he got a slap and fell on the ground. He pleaded Maha Periva to forgive him for this act.

Maha Periva informed everyone that the saree of Ambal was torn and Ambal Kamatchi wanted to play with me. So she played in this way. Goddess Kamatchi Amman is down to earth to true devotee so as Paramacharya. Because,

Paramacharya is Ambal Kamatchi
Ambal Kamatchi is Paramacharya
Down to earth, is a not a surprise.
Because of both are one!!

    • Respected Madam,

You are absolutely right Madam. Any number of times we can think, talk and write about Mahaperiyava. Each time will give us different experience. I have narrated my article, many times in different forum and each time, I will feel, I am as fresh as a blossoming LOTUS.

I am happy that you have also mentioned that you could enjoy the conversation between Mahaperiyava and Kamatchi Ambal though it is not the first time. What a genetic match among Mahaperiyava devotees.
