ராஜசூடாமணி தீக்ஷிதரென்று ஒரு கவி இருந்தார். அவர், “காயத்ரீ என்னை அடையும் முன்பே ஸரஸ்வதி என்னிடம் வந்து விட்டாள்” என்று ஒரு ஸ்லோகத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார். காயத்ரீ உபதேசம் பெறுகிற எட்டாவது வயசுக்கு முன்பே அவர் கவிபாட ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார். அதைத்தான் இப்படிச் சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்! ஞான ஸம்பந்தரும் மூன்றாம் வயசிலேயே ‘தோடுடைய செவியன்’ என்று பாடினவர்தான். அப்போதே அற்புதங்களைச் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்து விட்டார். ஆனாலும் பூணூல் போட்டுக் கொண்டு காயத்ரீ உபதேசம் வாங்கிக் கொண்டார்; அந்த பலத்தினாலேயே மேற்கொண்டு பெரிய பெரிய காரியங்களைப் பண்ணி வைதிக தர்மத்தை நிலைநாட்டினதாகக் காண்பித்தார் – என்பதிலிருந்து நமக்கெல்லாம் உபநயன ஸம்ஸ்காரத்திலும், அதற்கப்புறம் காயத்ரீ ஜபம் செய்வதிலும் கண்ணைத் திறந்து விட்டிருக்கிறார் என்று தெரிகிறது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்

There was a poet called Rajasoodamani Dikshithar who spoke about himself thus “Before Gayathri came to me, Sarasvati was already there with me”. Before he was eight years old the usual age for imparting the Gayathri mantra, he had begun to compose poems. Gnanasambandar too sang his composition “Thodudaya Seviyan” when he was only three years old. He had already been performing miracles. But even so he had his upanayana ceremony performed and was taught the Gayathri Mantra. If he did so it was to show the world that he was able to accomplish his great mission in life only by upholding the Vedic dharma.
