பெரியவர்கள் தங்களுடைய அனுபவத்தின் மூலமே வெளியே ‘சிவ’ காரியங்களை செய்து, உள்ளே அதற்கு ஏற்ற விளைவுகளை உண்டாக்கிக் கொள்ளலாம் என்று எழுதி வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள். அதனால் தான் மிலிட்டரிக்காரன் யூனிபாஃர்ம் போட்டால் வீரத்தன்மை வருகிறது என்று சொல்லுகிறான். அப்படித்தான் பக்தி வர வேண்டும், சாந்தம் வர வேண்டும், சத்தியம் வர வேண்டும் என்றால் ‘சிவ’ சின்னங்கள் போட்டுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று பெரியவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள். வெளியில் நாம் செய்கின்ற சில சம்ஸ்காரங்களினாலே உள்ளே சில நன்மைகள் ஏற்படுகின்றன. இவை எல்லாம் வெளிவேஷம் என்று நினைத்தால் வெறும் வேஷமாகவே போய்விடுகின்றன. ஆத்மார்த்தமாகப் ஜீவனை பரிசுத்தம் செய்து கொள்வதற்காகச் சின்னங்களை அணிகிறேன் என்று நினைத்தால் சத்தியமாக உள்ளே பரிசுத்தம் ஏற்படுகிறது. புறத்திலே தரிக்கும் சின்னங்கள் ஆத்மாவுக்கு உபயோகப்படுகின்றன. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Our ancestor’s through their personal experiences did exterior ‘Siva’ Kariyam (deeds) and have mentioned it had a divine impact on them. Military man tells he feels brave when wearing his uniform. Our ancestors has said, Bhakthi should come like this, Shanthi should come like this. If we want truth within us we should wear all the ‘Siva’ symbols. Our exterior makeup and acts does good things inside us. If we think all these exterior symbols and marks as just ‘make-up’ it will remain that way. However, if we think I’m wearing these symbols to cleanse my Aathma then it will defintely clean us internally.
