மற்ற மதங்கள் கடவுள் என்கிற ஒன்றை சொல்வதோடு நின்று விடுகின்றன. ஹிந்து மதம் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிற சனாதன தர்மம் அந்த ஒரே கடவுளை அவரவர் மனோபாவப்படி அன்போடு நெருங்கி வழி படுவதற்காக பல ரூபங்களில், பல தெய்வ வடிவங்களை நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறது. இந்த ரூபங்கள் வெறும் கற்பனையில் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டவை அல்ல. ஒன்றாக இருக்கிற பரமாத்மாவே தான் இப்படி பல மகான்களுக்கு தரிசனம் தந்திருக்கிறார். அவரவர்கள் அந்தந்த மூர்த்திகளிடம் பிரத்யக்ஷமாக பழகி, உறவாடி, பக்தி செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். அதே மாதிரி நாமும் தரிசிப்பதற்காக இன்ன மந்திரம், இன்ன விதமான உபாசனையை பின்பற்றினால் இன்ன தேவதா ரூபத்தின் தரிசனத்தைப் பெறலாம் என்று வழிகளை வகுத்துக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள்மொழிகள்
Other religions stop beyond stating the God. Hindu Dharma (Sanatana Dharma) states that this one god can be worshipped with love by taking various different divine forms based on the mindset of the people. These divine forms are not mere hallucinations. Paramathma has given darshan to various Mahans in these different forms. These Mahans have seen these divine forms in person, interacted with them, and done Bhakthi.
