நமக்கு தோன்றும் வஸ்துக்களுடைய ஸ்வரூபங்களெல்லாம் நம்முடைய கண்ணைப் பொறுத்து இருக்கின்றன. கண்ணில் உள்ள ‘லென்ஸ்’ என்னும் ஒரு கருவியால் பார்க்கிறோம்; நமக்கு ஒரு வஸ்து ஒரு சாணுள்ளதாக தோன்றுகிறது. நம்முடைய கண்களிலுள்ள ‘லென்ஸ்’ வேறு விதமாக இருந்தால் அதே ஒரு முழமாகவும் தோன்றலாம். ஆகையால் நாம் பார்ப்பது நிஜப் பார்வை என்று எண்ண முடியவில்லை. இதைத்தான் வேதாந்தம் ‘திருஷ்டி ஸ்ருஷ்டி வாதம் ‘ என்று சொல்லுகிறது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீசந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்
The appearance of objects that we see is dependent on our eyes. We see with the ‘Lens’ in our eyes. We may see an object that is a feet long. If the lens of our eyes is different we may see it as a yard long. Therefore we cannot say what we see is real. This is what the Vendanta says as ‘Dhrushti Srushti Vaadham’. – Sri Kanchi Maha Periyava
