Old photos from Kumbakonam and Kanchi

Thanks to Sri Venkatasubramaniam for this. IF you notice in some of the photos, you would see the photo corners (I guess that is the name for that). Those days, we used to have albums and photos are inserted into those corners to stay. I remember many albums we had like that.. I dont think the kids nowadays wouldnt even know that such things existed!

How aptly Sri A S Raman titled that article “One in a millennium”? True – He is one in a millennium.

  3. When beauty comes He is competing with Murugan, when Ghanam comes He is competing with Ghana Ganapathi, when Arul comes He is competing with my own Mother and also universal Mother Kamashi. When He considers the Adhvaidham He Himself competing with Maheswaran. I have not known anyone like Him, when brings tears every time when i think about Him.

  5. We are fortunate that we are able to see the album of Sri Mahaa Periyavaa. Some photos I saw in our grand-mother’s home in Triplicane, Chennai. Hara Hara Sankara, Jaya jaya Sankara..
